Feb 12, 2006

    1. ken shirts fit my msd soulkid tiny. i havnt tried any pants, because honestly, most ken clothes are downright ugly.

    2. I just got a 70cm boy,, he's got some long legs.. He can wear the American Girl shirts but I'm having trouble finding pants.

Any idea's for clothes or a pattern.. I really want to sew him a 3 piece suit. I don't have access to the market place yet or I would look there.

    3. Look in the sewing section for free patterns.

    4. Well, TyGirlz clothes fit LTF dolls very well, though pants require just a bit of hemming. And I'm sure someone's already posted it, but Kelly doll clothes fit pukis pretty well.

    5. I know that some clothes you can find a Build-A-Bear workshops can fit some dollfies, but other than that I like to make clothing.

    6. Cabage Patch Lil Sprouts fit Bobobie Elfkin and the other Bobobie tinys Some Strawberry Short Cake clothes fit Bobobie elfkin clothes,
Claire's has cellphone holders that look like hoodies open the bottom and they are perfect LTF hoodies Scrapbooking shirts trimed and taken in fit Bobobie Elfkin and left alone fit Yosd and LTFs

oh and keychain converse shoes fit SDs feet perfectly

    7. Hehe I buy some procelin dolls from goodwill or valuvillage for clothes or assecories (like bloomers) my mom calls it cannibalizing. She says my dolls will get angry one day and want to take theyre clothes back..

    8. My dz miniBB fits barbie clothes, they might be a little on the big side sometimes, but at least she has clothes xD
She also has a tshirt from a keychain I bought a while ago. I was at the chinese supermarket near us and they sold merchandise from the olympics in beijing for a cheap prize, so it was worth the try. I had to take my girl apart for her to wear it, but it fits xD (she only got 1 out of three, I'm not going to change it every day!!!)

    9. I must say, stuffed animals in souviner shops have the best clothes. I just found some little hoodies that might fit pukis or other tinies on keychain bears.

    10. Barbie tops and dresses fit my Slim AE Mei Jia as long as the fabric extends a little bit. Which I love.
thou I have to cut the sleeves if the top or shirt have them. Ken usually used hoodies that fits MSD sized doll aswell, pitty about colours and such, but if you cant afford a dress and you dont want your doll to be naked, i guess its ok.

    11. yeah I love doing it!! It's amazing how small the porcelain doll can be and the outfit still fits my MSD!! But the dolls head has to be really big to get the right sized eyes ^^'

come to think of it I only have like two outfits that were made for BJDs.. I need to do some shopping!!!!

    12. I've gazed wistfully at the Hannah Montana dolls and wished they sold her outfits separately. They're so trendy and cute. My Minigem would look great in them....

    13. Aha! Quite a find I'd love to share with some other MSD owners!!

From "High School Musical 3" Mattel went and repackaged the Teen Trends body molds for some 17" dolls. I believe they only make two different dolls, "Gabrielle" and "Sharpay." (By the way, why would anyone name a person after a dog breed?!)
Anyway...I purchased a Gabrielle doll at Toys R Us on clearance and it was a PERFECT fit for my old-body DoC girl. The skirt's a little loose, but it won't fall down; it just sits on the lower hips. But the top is the absolute perfect size, and so you don't get an overly sexy look with a midriff showing.
The red (prom? graduation? I've never seen the movies) dress is adorable as well.
Also, AMAZINGLY, the shoes actually fit. The sandals (fancy shoes??) fit, but the ankle strap does not reach all the way around. It would on a very slim 1/4 doll, but DoC's legs are too chunky for it.

      Really bad cell phone picture:

    14. Ooh! At Chicago's navy pier, I saw some little bears at this college clothing shop with little sweaters that looked like they could fit MSDs or Tinies. I know they were too small for my SD and too huge for my puki.
Also, there were those monkeys with the long arms that cling around your neck that had hoodies with the Chldren's museum logo on it. They looked about the same size. maybe a cropped hoodie for an SD or MSD, and a pullover for a Tiny.
I also saw at build a bear that they now have wigs. I bet if they're taken in a little, they can fit dollies. There were a lot of acessories that can fit dollies too. Like this plush guitar that could be opened up and used as a backpack, they had actual backpacks, some jewelry, some tee shirts might fit MSDs or SDs if they're resized a little, and some cell phones that could be cute chairs for Pukis.
Also, at the Sanrio (hello kitty) shop, there's these dress up Hello Kitty dolls and TONS of outfits for her. Not sure what they'd fit (since my boy won't let me put him in skirts and dresses) but they look maybe SD or MSD sized. I might look for one of the less girly outfits and buy it for my boy. just to see. hehe

    15. Some Sylvanian Families clothing fits Pukis. I don't think the clothes are sold separately from the figures, though, and they generally don't have shoes. ><

      edit: I can't spell "Sylvanian" :P

    16. I'm not sure if it's been noted, but Only Heartz Club Kids dresses fit Lati White, as do the little clothes from Bratz Lil Angelz.

Note: I'm basing this on measurements. I will have my Pury within the week, and will confirm, or dispell, this. :)

    17. Has anyone attempted to try the new MGA brand Best Friends Club Ink clothes on MSDs? They're super slim 18" dolls. I was tempted to buy them to try, but it's $40/doll set and I'm not sure if there's a resale market for the nude doll.

    18. We saw a commercial recently for Liv World dolls-- they have changeable wigs as well as cute fashion outfits. But we couldn't get their website to work or find any consumer information, so no idea who the clothes would fit. They had kind of large heads in comparison to body size, so it seemed like it would be possible for the wigs to fit certain tinies, but I really don't know.

If anyone gets any info on that front, let us all know!

      =^__^=

    19. This was on a stuffed toy monkey, but fit my little monkey nicely as a belly shirt:

    20. I was wondering this too...just saw these "Best Friends Club, Ink" 18" super slim dolls at BJ's today for the first time...there are also a few clothing sets also sold separately (only 3 at this point that I can tell). These dolls do look very slim for 18" dolls and the clothes look like they just might fit a MSD, and also wondering if they actually would be slim enough for a MSD sized girl, or would they better fit a larger doll. Anyone know yet???

I agree the dolls are pricey, but there are two cute outfits with each doll at a $40 price tag. The dolls to me are cuter than the Teen Trends as they have acrylic inset eyes, so maybe there will be a good resale market for them. Maybe if the clothes fit your MSD's, a needy little girl out there with a Mom handy at sewing would appreciate the dolls - I dunno. I just like the cute (and inexpensive) clothes!! Here's some pics of the cute outfits that come with the dolls if anyone wants to take a chance and get 'em to try out the clothes and post back the results if the clothes fit:
      Kaitlyn
      Addison
Calista (this pic of this doll really shows just how skinny they are to give an example of the slimness of the clothes)

And here's the outfits which are sold separately on the market at a $15 price tag:
Boho Fashion Fashion Set: Pic 1 - Pic 2
Pretty Preppy Fashion Set: Pic 1 - Pic 2
Casual Cool Fashion Set: Pic 1 - Pic 2

I might try getting one of these outfits and take the chance.:shudder I kinda like the Boho outfit.
