1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Re-using clothes and objects from other things for your BJD

Feb 12, 2006

1. Not really a good way to up your post count for marketplace, shugbugg. Seems a bit like trolling.

2. LOL. No comment hahaha.

Anyway, has anyone tried mini american girl clothes on any tinies???
I'm getting a bobobie lucky soon and am contemplating getting one of those outfits just to see but if anyone's tried it would save me the trouble ; D

3. Alington, thank you for the specific dolls clothing put out by Tonner- I looked at the Deanna Denton and never thought of the specific character ones- or asking dealers to split the clothing- clever!

Diefbaby, I was going to post here and ask if anyone had tried the new BFC Ink friends clothing would work- it is so adorable! Do the shoes fit your MSD?? I was in walmart this evening and was browsing through there looking at the Madame Alexander dolls that are the same size as American girls, and wondering if their clothes would work.

I was in Michael's also and found these cute bunny slippers that might work for my MSD- they were int he section where you can buy those cheapie generic 18 inch dolls and the bunny slippers are from the Springfield collection- they were too cute to pass up, and I think might work on her feet.

I also found some cute erasers that look like toothbrushes in a mug, with toothpaste and soap called CRAZERASERS and are called 'puzzle' erasers, but are similar to re-ment in their look. they were only a dollar, and thought it would look cute if she had pj's on. I also got one of those only hearts club teddy bears (called Ted) which I hope will look good in her hand as a stuffie.

I might take a leap when I get more time to look at the BKC Ink friends clothing sets- do the shoes fit the MSD's??

4. What Bratz clothes fit Hana? I just made the mistake of buying a "lot" of jeans, and they're twice as big as she is! Is there any doll they will fit? They're darling jeans.

5. I have used pieces of Cissy and American Model clothes for SD.

6. I posted a few more photos of my SoulKid Amy (MSD) wearing clothes made for DeeAnna Denton (Tonner Doll) in the Gallery. This time, she's wearing "Dreams of Tomorrow," a cute nightgown and housecoat set.

I found these on sale (half-price) from Cherished Friends.

Here's the link.

7. My Rowena, a Unidoll Suri, is hard to fit because she's more like a SuperGem girl than SD size, btu I found an antique gown that fits her rather well. It was on a celluloid souvenir doll.

You never know what you might find when antiquing!

8. In Target this morning I noticed a new line of dolls put out by Mattel. It’s a teenage Dora Explorer doll and her teenage friends which are supposed to be 13". When I noticed the dolls though, I thought they were 14"-15" tall and that the clothing looked like it would fit a MSD sized dolls. There are 7 of these dolls, with the main “Dora Links” doll being a little pricey as it has interactive computer software. The other five are at price points between $12-$20 at Amazon with free SS shipping (Basic Dora & Basic Dora Exclusive from Toys-R-Us, Emma, Alana, Kate, and Naiya), so maybe down the line I’ll buy the other dolls just for the fashions and then sell the doll cheap on eBay. Anyway, I purchased one of the fashion packs called “Sports Styles” (aka as “Go Team at Target) at a $10 price tag. The outfit did fit!! The shoes of course don’t fit and they are too big for a Barbie so dunno if they’ll fit any BJD. So now I’ll have to go back for more of the fashion packs!!! WooHoo!! They also had some separate accessories sets that might work for the MSD or larger tinies!!!

Here’s a pic of my girl wearing the “Sports Styles” outfit and the manufacturers promo pics:

Here are also the other fashions being offered in this doll line by Mattel (the headbands do not come with the outfits):

Charity Concert (aka as “Rock Benefit Concert” at Target)
[IMG][IMG]

Movie Night (aka as “Movie Theater Night” at Target)
[IMG][IMG]

Surf & Sand (aka “Recycling at the Beach” at Target)
[IMG][IMG]

"Charity Ball" and "Dance Studio" (two different fashion packs only sold in Target Stores-not online, I don't recall even seeing these in the store though)

9. I've bought Friends 2B Made, Fashion Angels and Hopscotch Hill clothes for my Blue Fairy Xiao, Laika. HH fits really well on her, Fashion Angels mostly fits but there are some misses and F2BM is hit and miss too, largely hit.

10. So I made a detour to a Family Christian Store and found the Faith & Friends clothes. They tops fit my mini almost perfectly!
And my favorite find...the shoes!!!
For $6, I got the. Cutest. little pink "suede" tennis shoes that perfectly fit my LeekeWorld Honey. Which means that they should also fit YoSD.
They had all other types of shoes as well.
I do have to say that the clothes weren't really my style, but would be great for an MSD size who's supposed to be a kid or tween. The pants might also fit YoSD a little baggy, but would be capris on minis...similar to Groovy Girls, though definitely chunkier.
And, for a doll whose clothes I was just swiping, and for a non-religious person, I've got to say the dolls were actually really cute. <3

Would work if you (or your doll) are really religious, or named Faith:

And a rather terrible, but surprisingly "official company" photo of the shoes:

The "Fit and Pretty" emsemble:

"Walkin' in Flowers"

I found this one especially cute, "Warm and Elegant"

And these are, of course, not including the outfits that the dolls come with.
There's also a bunch more.
If you're in the neighborhood of one of those religious stores, and have a mini or Yo size, it's worth checking out. :)

12. ooh thanks for heads up! Just checked out the website for them and those clothes are cute. : D

I ordered a little mcdonalds madame alexander doll off ebay to see if their dresses will fit my bobobie tiny. Cross your fingers! LOL will let everyone know if it works ; )

13. Rabidshehamster, (great name, btw) I use a pair of McD MA doll jeans on my Felix Brownie, which is just about the same size as a Puki, give or take a bit here and there. They're a mite long, but perfect otherwise.
Be advised, though, that the clothes off those dolls aren't velcroed or snapped. They're just solid...no openings or the like. So depending on what you're getting.....good luck.
Your avatar picture is gorgeous, too...just admiring it! ♥

14. Hey girls!

Just found out 'Little Apple Dolls' clothing fits my doll perfectly! They're out of production but quite easy to find online, I bought my set in a local dollar store for 10$!

They mostly have "traditionnal" japanese clothing and the quality is really, really nice.

15. Hoooohhhh really? I have Apple Dolls xD. What size doll do they fit?

16. Chunky Msd dolls, i'd say! My Dream of Child Bee-a is quite a fatty.

17. I'm gonna have to try this now :D. Mind you, then my Apple Dolls would be naked haha.

18. Aw ty : )

Yeah, just got the dress today and it's way too tiny for her rofl.
Cute, though, so will save it in case I ever acquire someone who can wear it ; )

Anyone have any clothes for Mini Ginny, Wee Patsy, or Tutti they can try on a 14cm Bobobie Tiny? lol
Just thought I'd ask : P

19. I have a McD's Madame Alexander dress for my Puki, it's cute! It's not meant to come off, though. I had to pick the back seam of the dress open to get it off, and will be adding a closure when I get around to doing it.

20. Yeah, had to do the same here. If I ever get a puki or brownie, will put a snap or velcro on the back for them : D
They seem to be the same size as 4" kelly clothes (approximately)
