1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Re-using clothes and objects from other things for your BJD

Feb 12, 2006

    1. Has anyone found anything that fits 1/3 boys? I went into a doll shop a couple weeks ago and the lady there showed me some Tonner clothes from the Harry Potter line that looked really nice. Although the shirt/jacket may have fit (I didn't actually get to try them on), the sleeves and pants were waaaayy too short.. I know I'm not going to find any sort of mass-produced pants for him, as he's got really long legs, but are there any t-shirts I can find anywhere?

And those window-cling shirts - I have NEVER seen anything like that. Where would you go to get those?

    2. I can vouche that the BFC Ink doll clothing fits slimmer SDs, including the shoes! I already bought two outfits for my shall and was REALLY shocked to see that the shoes fit! The jean shorts in the one set however fit MSD better than SDs. The purses are better scaled for MSD. I bought the pink and orange dress and blue polk dot shirt set, and they both fit my Shall snugly like cute tops. I have a minifee girl, so I can't really try them on her without them being baggy, but I'm sure they'd fit MSD girls. ^_^

    3. Is there any way to buy these outside their website (and doll shows)? I'm thinking those might be the only two place to get them. Also, did you get the shoes with them and do they fit as well?
The Tonner stuff will fit MSD size quite nicely. I have Ron's casual/weekend outfit and it fits amazingly well. It's also really nicely made (the pants are lined!) and has some great details. But, it's not big enough for an SD-sized doll. And the shoes won't fit regular MSD size either. Might fit a slimmer doll like Unoa or Sharmin, but I really have no clue on that and I'm totally guessing.

The window-cling shirts were found in a dollar store in Canada. Plus there were a bunch I saw on eBay that we didn't get in our dollar stores. I don't know where they came from.

    4. I haven't been able to find anywhere where the clothes are sold. Just a few online stores where only the dolls are sold.

    5. When I was little, I had a beanie-baby that came with this maroon robe, with gold shiny thread stitched all through it.

It fits Cecilia like a short kimono! It's very cute. :)

    6. I found a teddy bear ninja outfit at dollartree, I just cut the legs off and stitched a quick hem and it makes a wonderful t shirt for my BBB Jun (MSD size)!

    7. Wee! I finally found the pictures I was looking for of my BBB Mei in Groovy Girls Clothes!

      [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]
These "goggles" are actually glasses that came with the outfit with the above. They look great as goggles though![IMG]

Oh, and as far as Barbie clothes go, I found that some Ken shirts can work for my BBB Mei. For instance, in this next pic she is wearing an army shirt that I just took the velco off of and turned into an army jacket for her. It still fit with the velco, but it looked silly.

    8. Not sure if it's been mentioned (I could have just missed the reply), but you can find the mini t-shirts in a couple of places on the web (outside of eBay anyway).

http://www.franticstamper.com/ek_tshirt.htm ---these are 3.5" wide by 4" tall

http://www.stahls.com/mini-t-shirts --- I'm not sure how big these are, but they're probably the same size or possibly smaller.

http://www.stupid.com/fun/SHRT.html --- these are the same as the franticstamper ones

I've seen similar things in my local craft shops and occasionally at the gas stations, but that's pretty rare.

      I hope this helps someone.

    9. Okay, I did a bunch of measurements on 2 types of dolls to see what sizes their clothes, shoes, wigs, etc are. Here goes:
Delilah Noir: You can only get the clothes, wigs, and eyes if you get the doll with them.
      Wig- size 6-7
      Shoes- 52 mm
Clothes- Delilahs fit well in slim mini clothes, I'm assuming the reverse would be true also.
      Eyes: 10-12 mm
Hopscotch Hill: No longer being made, but I'm sure you could find some on eBay.
Wig- 8-9 *The wigs aren't meant to be removable, but you can scrape them off the heads
      Shoe- 55 mm
Clothes- MSD size. Fits Kid Delfs great, so dolls in that size range would hopefully fit too.

      Hope someone finds this useful!

    10. I was at AC Moore the other day, and found a black hoodie that fit my boy pretty well...it's a bit oversized though. XD;; But it looks cuter that way.

It's from the..."Sullivan Collection" I think? Not too sure...it was made for American Girl dolls and their creepy knockoffs, but it probably fits most 18" dolls. Pics may come soon. :3

    11. I found that the 'Teen Dora the Explorer' outfits fit MSDs fairly well. Big in the hips for slimmer dolls like Resin Soul. I was very happy to find a purple top and denim skirt set that fit both my girls just fine. ^^

    12. I found these living dead dolls that are dressed up as the charaters from alice in wonderland the outfits are wonderful and look like they might fit a slim msd but I am not sure as I don't have money to buy the living dead doll yet. I know the little apple dolls fit but what about the living dead doll

    13. Thanks for the links, kionxi, I'm amazed at the variety!

    14. This is so random, but... years and years ago McDonald's used to give out mini Hockey jerseys with some kind of meal ... and I got one and only recently remembered it. Turns out it actually somewhat fits my doll... only, I have to take its head off to put it on.
      Sadly my doll isn't much of a hockey fan... xD;;

    15. so, do kelly clothes fit pukifees? what fits pukifees?

    16. I've somehow found an outfit that went well with my Glamor bust Dollmore Model doll girl and it was for an 18' doll originally. For cases like that i had to be careful of the style cause not all of the outfits would look right with my girl. I was pleasantly surprised that the outfit even fitted. So alot of times it's a sort of eye and mental estimation.

    17. Well, I've found two things so far but I haven't really been looking.
I own an American Girl fur coat that I only really use when my SD boy is naked and needs to be covered up. Its rather large for him, though.
I also took a dress off a porcelain doll my dead grandmother gave me (I feel so respectful) and put it on him for some experimentation and just because I could. It was... quite short though and totally out of character. o_o

    18. i was on some BJD company website, and they had a list of other clothes that could fit and i was like, "BARBIE?!" lol

    19. Pukifees are too big for Kelly/Shelly and Tommy/(forget his counterpart's name) clothes. They fit PukiPukis and that size instead. Since I don't have anything of a Pukifee's size I'm afraid I can't help you on what fits them.
