1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Re-using clothes and objects from other things for your BJD

Feb 12, 2006

    1. Wow! I just surprised myself. I bought a Tonner Matt O'Neil sport shirt for my MSD size girls. It was always baggy. I just tried it on my 60 cm. Domuya flexi 60 (not the skinny perennial). It fits perfectly! It makes a great fitting blouse. The print and buttons are to scale. I am thinking of buying a Matt sweater. Those guys are only 17" tall. They must have really wide shoulders. If anyone has any of these clothes you might want to try them on your 60 cm. girls and boys. I doubt the pants would fit but the shirts and sweaters probably would.

    2. I bought a pair of the Goodreau doll shoes yesterday from a doll shop. The Dirty dog shoes fit my mini without socks. A lot of the clothes they have look like they'll fit too.

It's so funny. She has to see how Deuce works whenever I go in there and she's fascinated by BJDs.

    3. I bought a Webkinz pet shirt anyway... it fits my MSD girl, but it's really wide... I just pinned the back of the jacket, and it looks really cute. Fits my SD, but it's really short on him. :D

    4. I don't know if its been mentioned before or not, but my HR department handles to charity stuff that goes on here. They have a stack of these little 'teddy bear' shirts for March of Dimes and they look more like they'd fit MSD than teddy bears from the neckholes. But sadly I can't get one until that project in March! ; . ;

I'll have to post pictures then! XD

    5. Yep, I got a couple of the Webkinz tops, too. The "WOW" shirt is a bit big on my DOC boy, but fits my Kid Delf pretty well. The raincoat is do-able on my Kid Delf, but still not wonderful and completely too big on my DOC. The rain hat fits my Kid Delf fine, though. But that's because he has poofy hair.

As you can see, it's a teeny bit big on my Si.

But fits my Kid Delf fairly well. Benjamin likes the hat (or at least isn't sure what to think of it...)

I'll let people pass judgement on the raincoat themselves. I can't decide.

**As a note, there is NO velcro to get the shirt on with. It's a stretchy material, but still worth noting that you might have to remove heads to get it on for certain dolls.

    6. I got a bunch of Webkinz stuff well maybe just the Dude hat, witch costume and the red hoddie but it fits my Kiddelf pretty well and its inexpensive. I also have Groovey Girl clothes for my Petite Ai it fits PERFECTLY! Except when something needs to go over her chubby tummy/bum>.<

    7. Does anyone know if the clothes from those new Bratz Dolls clothes fit 6ocm dolls?

    8. Glad to know Webkins clothes fit KDs so nicely! Sadly, my future boy isn't that... kidlike..

    9. Wow Didnt know they came out with Bigger bratz dolls.-suddenly wants to make the trip to toysrus-
Anyone know how tall they might be?
[Did anyone notice that the Movie dolls? I was like Omg joints D:]

    10. Some American Girl doll shoes fit my Soom Godo (60cm boy) ^^ The boots look a little clunky, but I guess that's okay, since they are boots. Plus, it gives charm. ^^

    11. I wonder.... Their figures are so... weird though. Maybe some of the tops could work?

    12. I have seen some 22" American Model (Tonner) stuff on 60cm dolls like Mellow, Cocori, etc...

    13. I bought the webkinz "Dude" hat, and it fits both my Dollmore Aidan and my Bobobie Sprite perfectly. And it's freakin' adorable.
I also bought the bathrobe and angel shirt. The bathrobe is do-able, but the angel shirt will need some major alterations.

    14. WOW Morriscode! I'm just loving your collection of dolls! Thanks for the links and the clothing tips!

    15. No Problem!

    16. I got a "Groovy Girls" set, and it fits my Kid Delf beautifully, though I had troubles getting the sleeve over her hands.

    17. When I first got my Girl (SD Sized), I had her in in premie-sized baby shirts for a while... they were still quite a bit big on her, they might fit a 70 or 80cm doll better, but they still looked kind of cute in my opinion :)

BTW, that red and white skirt is the skirt-part of a baby dress, cut off and modified so that the waist is slimmer XD

    18. I think some of the doll clothes you'll find in your local craft store might fit. Probably not dresses (too short), but shorts and shirts might fit fine. You can usually find them in the doll section, along with hats among other things.

    19. Vintage-style petticoats made for 11" Bleuette fit my Narsha girl perfectly (she can't wear Bleuette's full dresses however).
