1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Re-using clothes and objects from other things for your BJD

Feb 12, 2006

    1. Sylvanian families clothes fit Pukis well :)

    2. i have a shirt from a teddy bear that was a school fundraiser that fits my sd boy a little wide around the middle. some short sleve american girl doll shirts also look alright.

    3. I found this stuff at my grandma's yesterday!
The mini build a bear outfits (We got them a Target)!
They fit my msd girl great! There's a pair of jean shorts and soccer shorts. My mom sewed up the tail hole and they are perfect on my dollmore kid! The shirts are a bit wide but still cute on her. even some of the accessories are a good size! You can get the stuff cheap on ebay, it just requires a bit of sewing for the tail holes XP

here she is in the jean shorts-

    4. I bought one of those t-shirts on a hanger that's supposed to be put on a window from a tourist place and it fits my SD boy perfectly.

    5. Barbie tops can fit Pipos Robin as dresses. Just watch out, because some of the sleeves are too tight or the chest is a bit to big.

    6. I've noticed that a lot of people can find things for tinies or MSDs, but is there anything that makes good clothes for a large-busted SD? I have a Happydoll Dorothy, but I have trouble finding clothes to fit her, even in the BJD community.

    7. Some Groovy Girl clothes and hats fit minis. Some fit slender ones better and some of the hats are 6/7 size. But it varies a lot.

    8. Yes!!!!! I bought tons of "Friends 2B made" clothes for my MSD ^___^
Even "Build a Bear" has good stuff.....I've bought other clothes from different toy
companies, but...can't remember the names XD Yet "Friends 2B made" is a good place to buy MSD sizes.

Oh oh! and if you've heard about "Little apple dolls", MSD's can surly fit them as well ^_^

    9. teddybear clothes! ^_^

    10. The little stuffed-animal clothes from Micheals fit dolls pretty well. :3

      Other than that, look around antique stores. I found a tea-cozy dress that fits my Nikolai perfectly. XD;

Oh! And the TY girl clothes (Can't quite remember the name) fit kind of well. They're a little small, though.

    11. Kelly clothes fit Pukis PERFECTLY. Even their little shoes fit Pukis. I recently went to my local thrift store and bought a bag full of 8 or so kelly (and The boy version of Kelly) dolls, and it cost me 4 bucks. So I now have 8 new outfits for pukis.

I also have tried out some of the webkinz clothes and I find that most are too wide or too short, but I do have the dude hat and a few things that aren't so bad.

And I got those little window-cling t-shirts too, I have one that says "Hot devil" and one with a skull and crossbones. Got them both at the dollar store and I intend on buying more. I've also found sweaters for teddy bears at the dollar store, but usually the sleeves are too short.
Build a bear is decent, but more for props than clothing. Really, everything is either too short or too wide. But some stuff is salvageable if you take it in on the sides to make it slimmer.
I found a green velvet dress and cape on a porcelain doll at a thrift store that fits MSD's as well.

    12. My sister bought these little sweater that were originally for wine bottle. They fit her boy^^
Also she bought slippers that were originally suppose to be for a key chain.

    13. I found some Ty Girlz clothes while out shopping today, and hearing that they fit on slim MSDs well, I bought a set. Rico looks really unhappy trying it out, but for the curious here's how it went on a DZ mini girl ...

It was the "Tropical Fun" set or something like that. Originally it was a dress, which was far too short and tore when I pulled it over her shoulders to get it on her. So I cut the dress part off and turned it into a halter top. The lime green hoodie and handbag were included in the set.

    14. These little converse keychains fit my CP girl :D:D:D:D:D
      (SD)

    15. Anyone know where I can find the webkinz clothes in real life? I looked on the online store and couldn't find anything but virtual clothes and such.

Edit: nevermind. I found it. yay!

    16. Found some more clothes that fit...For the Tiny Bear small Moona & Mina, Dawn clothes fit perfectly. Bracken can wear Bratz Kidz Boys perfectly. Not Doll Lab Lucy fits Tiny Betsy & Kickits clothes & some Only Hearts Club clothing. The new 10" Bobobie line like March, Bao, Ni, Isabella, etc can wear Barbie & Ken clothes especially the My Scene pieces as they're less busty. Ken stuff fits the girls perfectly. The chubby Tiny Bear elves, Coco & Bonbon can wear sleeveless Barbie dresses but they're ankle length on them. Coquette & Tiny Kitty clothes fit the mature tinies like Uyoo & Aren as well as the standard Barbie stuff.

Weirdly enough, Cissy shoes fit Narae & the Soulkid girls beautifully just beware of the ones with the rigid molded soles as those don't look right. The American Model clothes are perfect on Cocori, Lishe & the Customhouse girls. The straps are a little long but I just pin them together in the back & they're wonderful. Both Tyler & Alex clothes fit Sharmin & Alice & the Faith & Friend clothes fit most slim minis.

    17. My BBB Isabella (Tiny) is currently wearing Barbie. She was wearing Re-Ment 30 Days and she also has Re-Ment Girly Style. My SD Female I bought panties for from CRsCrafts.com because they have a lot of the 18" vinyl doll clothing and accessories. At Joanns I found a whole lot of the Springfield collection, including shoes. I bought a pair of tennis shoes and a pair of crocs. My SD male is currently wearing other Springfield collection clothings... what should be jeans (actually fits like capris) and a tee shirt which is a bit baggy on him.

I'm in the process of trying to make them clothes and cobble some shoes... but I like my dollies to be dressed in the mean time so store bought helps.

    18. The little MSD sized T-Shirts (Football merchandise usually) that was supposed to hang on the car's window. They fit albeit the sleeves are a bit short. Requires head removal though, so dolls without the head removal system......cannot wear it (unless you modify the shirt, which the collar is already SMALL).

    19. Hopefully 112 people haven't said this already, but Ellowyne Wilde clothes fit Leibchen (slim mini) perfectly and they are amazing and detailed. Great styles. I am getting something from them this week, so I will try them on my MiniFee.
