  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     2. I finally have the hotel room information!!!

      Though you are not required to stay in the adjacent Hotel at JR's we have 50 rooms set aside strictly for us and they will remain available to us until August 7th. If you intend to stay within the Convention Center Hotel, all you have to do is call JR's Executive Inn of Paducah and make a reservation. Inform them that you are part of the event "Resin Con 2007 on Sept. 7th and 8th." The rooms are available for $70 a night to us.

      You can call 1-800-866-3636 Monday - Friday from 8am to 9pm to make a reservation. If you intend to stay inside the facility make sure you get your reservations in before August 7th. If you have any questions just let me know! Thanks!

      Badges will begin mailing around the first week of July.

      This is the LAST MONTH! for early registration. After this badges will only be available at the door, there will be NO MORE Tea Party tickets sold, and it will be very difficult to reserve a vendor booth. (I may still allow it up until August, but the fees may be more than normal.)

      Right now I'm having a SPECIAL on vendor and display booths. Send me an email to find out details!!

    4. !!Never before seen dolls!!

      I've just been informed that a company is going to send some unreleased dolls to Resin Con!! It's entirely possible that we will receive these dolls even before they hit their website for people to buy!!

      And no, I'm not telling what they are...(mwahahaha) get those registration requests in!!

      Some FAQ's.

      No I will not tell you about any of the mystery dolls or companies. This is both for the surprise of the convention itself and for the privacy of the company. It was told to me in secrecy and though I might tease with it, I really cannot say. If the company sees fit to release before the con, then I will reveal, otherwise it must stay under wraps. (My PM box was filled to bursting and turned red just from this question alone. @.@)

      No you do not need to be present to win raffles, give-aways and such on Saturday. Please give us lots of contact information and we'll make every effort there is to get your gifts to you, even if you miss the announcement. However, be prepared you may be asked to pay shipping. Especially if you win a doll.

      Freebies that are not raffles will only be available to those who pre-registered unless otherwise specified. We will have lists of those who pre-registered for the event and their names will go in for special drawings. If you do not register early, you are not eligible for these prizes.

      There will be full itineraries available in many places. There will be goody bags for everyone and they will contain detailed lists of events and exact times for the announcement of give-aways. There will also be lists of events on doors and other places for people to read. When in doubt, there will be plenty of staff walking around including myself. Just grab me and ask, or ask someone else. If they don't know, they'll find out for you.

    6. Answering another quick question -

      No it is not too late to buy raffle tickets.

      Raffle Tickets are $2 for the white skinned IL each. (Limit 20 per person)
      And $.50c for the lolita SDgirl outfit. (Limit 20 per person)

      At the con the raffle ticket prices will rise to $4 and $1 with limits of ten per person.

    7. As far as I can tell, you still have not told us where this con will be held, as in what state in the mid-west. This is all I can find:

      This is all I can find at the forum, too.

      Please let everyone know WHERE this con will be - the state, the hotel, etc., so you will get more people interested in attending.

    8. I am sorry if the place does not show up clearly. This question has been asked many times over the past year and it keeps getting buried. It is actually in the first page of this thread as well...

      It also says above in the hotel information...

      And in the Resin Con forums it can be gained in General information a thread called 'Venue Information.'

    10. The Saint: How can I help? See if any of these sources can be of any use.

      Sponsorship: I'm treasurer of CETA [www.cetaarts.org]. We get about $15K per year to sponsor programs within Grant County. Kentucky however has numerous programs for sponsorship.

      Website: You should have your own domain name...it's about $9/year and I know someone who builds web pages from note pad.

      Friends: I have friends who are Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. My Japanese friend I haven't heard from in awhile, but my Korean and Chinese friends I see almost everyday.

      Donation: I would be happy to donate a matching jewelry item for doll and owner, even if I don't have plans to attend. Some of my jewelry can be seen at blackicepond.deviantart.com, which is where I come from when stumbling across the fine art of BJDs.

    11. Thanks for the input! I've been checking into some Kentucky programs, mostly Paducah City Commerce and such, since that's where the event is taking place.

      We actually -do- have our own domain that was donated by someone from DoA. It was a fantastic package and we're grateful to have it. I actually have a professional website building company working on it, but they're doing it for free so it's taking a while. It should be up and running soon.

      We'd love to have all the translators we can get! If they want to come, all they have to do is email me. Possible translators, security and other such workers do not have to pay. They have access to everything for free, just so long as they help out a little. However, they aren't eligible for give-aways unless they pay entry fees.

      A matching jewelry set would be wonderful! That's very generous of you. You can reach me at [email protected] .
