Resinsoul and Bobobie Mini Discussion Thread - Part 33

I goi Bai. (I coudnt find new thread for bid RS dolls). Is she considered to be an old sculpt? I'm kinda getting over her lazy eye but still interested in learning new things about RS from where most of my bjds is from

 

Happy to help! Head this way! Bai (the 60 cm doll) is actually one of Resinsoul's newer sculpts, like Qian... who just happens to be on display in the big RS doll thread!

 

I have 2 problems, and their names are Song and Wu. I really want Song in a fun fantasy color, debating in a dark dark blue or purple. Wu as the ghost boy I've always wanted, transparent body but 1 flesh tone arm and his head.

I really shouldn't be buying anything right now, but I've had the worst week of my entire life (I'll not go into it and drag everything down), and could use some cheering up.

 

Here's one of my most recent pictures of my light tan Wu boy! Wu is definitely my favorite Resinsoul sculpt, and I think the idea for your ghost boy sounds amazing.

 

Since this ain't the no-buy thread, I'm going to enable. If you need retail therapy, Resinsoul is the way to go.

 

@cosmicakes he looks amazing! I just love that little face. I think I will go light tan for my own as well. It looks like such a nice color.

@MaleficentMrsofEvil you are absolutely correct.

 

Resinsoul being so affordable, so quick to make dolls, and so mix and match (with color options!) is why I'm considering making a 'just buy a Resinsoul' page for my site. It checks so many boxes for what people are looking for.

 

Honestly I have the fight the temptation to request some mad customs from resinsoul. I already have a four armed boy, but they're so willing to help and they do custom colours and will swap out ears and nghhh.

I'm waiting in the hope they release a new boy body with the more refined joints of their more recent girls. the Tang/Sui body is as far as i'm concerned their best posing boy because he doesn't have those frustrating cups in the elbows and knees but the peanut style joints of their newer dolls are definitely preferable.

as it stands i'm already eying one of their newer girl bodies and thinking "is that androgynous enough for my floating head?" lol.
but i'm not 100% sure about resin matches. I might have to go find a paint swatch card to mail them to be sure.
or just order a whole doll in the grey and if it doesn't match, I still have a full doll. <_< LOL.
the trouble there is I might become attached to the head and not want to swap them.

Does anyone know if resinsoul's grey matches Sooms? This head isn't soom but it was described as "soom grey" so I assume it's close.

 

Am I seeing things or is the new girl Ran on a totally new body?

 

I think you're right. Also-bunny! Really hoping that this means they might do a companion one with paw feet; paws are so hard to find.

 

She's cute! I wish they had a better picture of the body to compare it to the other ones though.

 

So I have the Xi body, which was the new, large bust body. It does NOT have those thigh joints. That is most definitely a new body - and it's gorgeous.
If Resinsoul does something similar for their big girls, I am in soooo much trouble. (Impldoll is saying that they are going to make their "plump" body in 1/3 scale, Raccoondoll releasing a 1/3 scale body, Impldoll releasing the KimK Booty body in March... My wallet! The pain!)

yes it's a new body. The ever useful admin (Kitty Blue) of the resinsoul facebook group already requested a photo comparison. I believe she's around these boards too but I hope she doesn't mind me sharing the image.



New body looks to have a completely new peanut joint at the hips and proper peanut joints in the arms. Torso looks very similar to the Xi body, though the lower body looks different with the hip sockets being higher/deeper.

Im very curious to see how it poses. Resinsoul's been upping their game on their engineering recently so i'm hopeful they've finally cracked the whole "not kicking you in the face when you move them" thing lol.

 

Ahhh and it's tall! I never had a lot of interest in Resinsoul but this body hmmmmmm

 

I think more Mei is just crazy tiny lol.

Most of the newer rs girls are about 44-45cm supposedly?

 

I count 44-45cm as tall for a mini girl as they don't really go much taller than that anywhere (which is sad!) Mei does look tiny next to all of them, though.

Oh, the new body is beautiful. So graceful and curvy. Even if the resin is slippery, a silicone kip or two, or some hot glue, and I bet it would pose like a dream.

 

Ohh that looks so nice! And the bust sits more naturally than on most of the other bodies too it looks like.
