    2. Aww your boy is so cute Teseya! I really like the expression his eyebrows give to his face!
What's his name? And thanks for the well wishes! ^^ I'm so excited as his last face up began
to chip at the nose @,@

    3. His name is Philippe. He is a post apocalypse orphan who is almost blind from the bright sun of the dessert. But he has learned to take care of himself and gets around rather well. He can read the winds and all.
His old faceup was just too...shiny...and made him look like a girl. I love this shape of eyebrows...he is the 3rd1st of my dolls to have this shape and probably not the last. It gives him a thoughtful yet soulfull and direct expression.

    4. Aww! What an interesting story, poor thing!
I'd love to hear more about it as I absolutely
love original stories and their OCs!! XDD

I never saw pan with the default face up
because RD got my order wrong and sent
him blank @,@ The eyebrows do give him that feel
you're spot on XD Thanks for sharing with us XDD

    5. My first sd doll, wasa ringdoll Pan. He was good at standing, but I had truble with his head on photos. I think it was becauseit is sircular. A friend of mine, owns him now. I am thinking of buying another head for her ringdoll boy. Have anyone a suggestion?

    6. Ok, did anyone else see Hayato? He was there for like a week and now he's not on their site anymore? What's up with that? I was considering ordering him later on...

Samael (my Shao) is not impressed by his ninja skills. xD

    7. Hello? Any other Ringdoll owners out there? I want to hear what everyone's been up to with their boys and girls! :)

    8. Oh hi Akai, i'm here! I'm going to upload a couple pics of my boy soon, though the face up
he has might change after that. @.@

Oh wow where did you get those jointed hands from?
Your boy sure is cute =w=

    9. oh sorry...I meant to post the new pics I took of Philippe:

I have found that he takes marvelous photoshoots...but is hard to take to meetups b/c he's so stiff. The stiffness is perfect for holding poses in photoshoots but makes it hard to make him look randomly relaxed and normal at meet photos. He's so beautiful though.

    10. Anno: Ooh, I'd love to see! :D Yeah..I've had to redo faceups on my Ringdolls before. In fact I'm thinking of redoing my pirate's faceup too..I'm just lazy. It's good enough for now. lol Sam and Ripley both have jointed hands from Dikadoll. They are in normal yellow, and the match isn't perfect but it's close enough I don't mind. They pose wonderfully! Best jointed hands I've ever played with. And since the Ringteen boys have fairly stiff straight hands...I like the option of jointed fingers for them. :)

Teseya: Wonderful photos~ And yes, they can be a bit stiff, but I've hot glue sueded their torsos so they can slouch and look more natural. The main trouble I have is getting them to stand with straight legs! Sam can do it, but Spencer and Ripley just...ugh. haha But those two are from the 2011 crisis so i question their quality. They both have repaired knees too...hmm.

That reminds me. Is everyone checking their boy's knees regularly? :) I always check after a long play session...I'm so paranoid about it. xD

    11. @Akai: Here's a pic of my boy with his new face up. I love it but I think his character
comes off better with a more natural look. :)
It's like Ringdoll has jointed hands themselves, but they're only for 70cm boys :( Also
I heard that their resin has changed since then so I don't think they'll work at all anyways.

@Teseya: Oh the stiffness, tell me about it! My boy stands like a rock, and the joint system
is made really well, but his upper torso is sooo stiff. He just snaps back into place if you try and
make him slouch or bend. Anno also needs to be sueded because of that. I'm half excited, half nervous to
do the hot glue sueding. @.@
I hope I'll do it right.

      [IMG][/IMG]

    12. He looks wonderful~ I love his silvery eyes. *o* <3 Is he in the old resin? If so then yeah, matching hands to him will be difficult because of the color and the resin type. Although I think they are still using environmental resin, but the newer batches in the last year or so are less translucent. Hot glue sueding can be fun~ I don't even unstring them when doing it. (unless they are really tight)

I'm still wondering what happened with Hayato. :nowords: I was seriously considering getting him in the next few months..but he poofed off their website. Maybe they put him up too soon? I really loved his face! T__T I'd message them but..I'd feel weird since I have no money to get him. lol

    13. Thank you~ The eyes were so beautiful I couldn't pass them up ^^
Yeah, he's the old resin type. I think I got him right before they switched
it. @.@ His head has always been more translucent than his body, so matching
      it is difficult sometimes.

Wow, you can suede with the elastic still in? Got any tips? I need to restring him anyways
but you an never have enough dolly maintenance tips XD

You know, Hayato did just disappear didn't he! Had you not pointed it
out, I wouldn't have noticed. That's how quickly he just went 'poof!'

    14. Thought so. My Spencer's head is translucent, but his body isn't, so I have that same problem. I often take photos and desaturate them in some way to hide the difference.

Hot glue tips huh. Well, this is just how I do it, and it works great for me.
      [IMG][IMG][IMG]

Basically, you just pull the parts apart. With the torso I pull it apart and sort of fold it over. Once there it stays easily. Spencer is kind of loose though..but that's to help preserve his poor breaking knees. xD You can also see the glue already in his torso...looks like some of it needs to be redone. It's starting to peel a bit. I haven't put any in his arms, but I pulled the shoulder away to show how I do that as well. If I want a full circle of glue I just wait until it cools (blowing on it usually), and then pull it the other way. However, Spencer has been taken apart and blushed and the coating of MSC in his joints helps him hold poses without needing hot glue or wires. :)

    15. @Akai: Wow, I see it now!
Good to know I'm not the only one with the translucent head problem @.@
I bought some Mungyo pastels and msc last year and knowing that tip about
the msc helping with posing makes me itch to try it! XD

Did you do the blushing yourself?
Thanks for the tips btw! =3

    16. The MSC in the joints gives the resin something to grab onto instead of just sliding smoothly against itself. (why does that sound dirty? xDD)

Yes, I did his blushing. I'm no professional, but I can do it and get it done how I like it..which is lightly and just on the torso. (though I sealed everything) I need to do his hands at some point. Otherwise he's usually covered up and in shoes. Usually.

    17. You did a good job!~
It's like he's saying "Yeah, I know I look good!"

I want to give my boy a small manicure,
but I think I'll watch some more tutorials first
before I go all out! lol

And don't get me started on blushing
the man bits! @.@ I think I'll leave that alone for now XD

    18. Oh, he's well aware of his good looks. And LOL yeah. No need to blush the bits unless they'll be shown off for some reason. :P Though it is kinda nice if you're going for a complete look. Personal preference in the end.

    19. Right~
I don't mind either way. I have seen some body blushing
I wasn't very fond of, so I hope I can replicate the look I'm
going for well. Have you ever thought of wiring for posing?

I wondered how easy it was to do?

    20. Wiring? It's really easy, I think. Hardest part is fining coated wire! Once you do you cut to the size needed, cover the tips with tape or hot glue, and insert! If they are really tightly strung you will have to unstring them and put the wires in as you restring them.
