1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Ringdoll Pan gift head! by Koda Kidd

I ended up getting my dream doll for free from someone who I was buying another doll from :D She saw in this thread that Pan was like my grail doll and she decided to give me her extra head for free! Now I just need to get my boy (his name is Kaine) an RTBody-2 or something. I want him to be my lanky androgynous alien boy but first I need his body!!

6. KodaKid: Congratulations On The Head. Can't Wait To See What You Do With It

7. Thank you gaiboizz!! I'm equally as interested in seeing what you do with your Mona head :)

The one thing I'm having trouble with with my boy is figuring out what colour he is... he doesn't look like he fits RingDoll NS and he looks more yellow than my Doll Leaves NS boy, so I'm not really sure what colour he is *_* Could he be RD Old Yellow? The picture makes him look pinker, but he is more yellow IRL.

8. Kodakid: The color looks similar to my Ringdoll Valo (MSD). So I'd be guessing it's the old Ringdoll ns aka pure skin normal. Before they switched resins around x-mas last year (-.-).

As for me...
After Ringdoll dropped my ordered Misha at me after a pretty long wait, I realized that the skin was entirely different than what I wanted. (I was expecting the old normal skin (which is yellowish) and ended up with a normal skin PINK!!!! doll u.u)
I tried for a while but he and I just didn't work out with the plan I had for him, so I had him on sale for a while.
A couple of days ago I had the urge to ... just DO something 'new' with my kids. First impulse was to buy a new doll... then I swayed around and realized that Misha was the perfect 'target'.

Results:
Misha now has a new face-up. He'll go by the original intended name of Yusuf for now, thought that might change. I'll have yet to figure out his personality and story, but I have a feeling that will come with time.

I also took him appart and gave him a warm bath for several hours, because his overall texture was not as smooth as I was used to. Also the joints sometimes got 'stuck' and felt a bit sticky at times - even thought I hadn't done much with him since I got him.
=> After removing all pieces from the bowl of water and rinsing them off again, I turned the bucket around => It was slightly greyish / dirty. And that even thought he'd been pretty much sitting in my vitrine except for a few pics...
His resin texture is now all smooth and I also got rid of the 'sticky' parts. Joints no longer get stuck either.

So overall, I'm happy with him now :3

Well and this is the picture proof ;P

9. Darn, so I'm probably going to have to do some colour matching when I send Kaine out to get his faceup :/ But thanks for the info Snowy! And your Misha look great, I love the combination of his wig and eyes! The colours looks very cool together :)

10. Andrew has taken a shine to the new housemate! :3 [IMG]

13. Snowy : Well I guess it's my fault for not doing more research. For some reason I had difficulty finding owner photos of pan with faceup so I put my trust on people's experience with ringdoll bjds. I heard about Ringdoll's good quality fullsets and faceups so I decided to order him.
When I unwrapped the bubblewrap from his face, I immedietly hated him. It was obvious that his faceup was so rushed especially his eyebrows are so badly drawn and lack any detail. I know that faceups from all companies differ from the company photos but this is just so bad. The eyebrows are so faded and blocky and go so high up his forehead. It's just overall muddy and messy.

Another thing I don't like is the poor quality of their clothes. Especially since ringdoll is famous for their fullsets.

I also didn't like his jointing system either. He can barely hold any pose and when he arrived he was so loose that he couldn't even stand. His face sculpt was also very different from what I expected.

then again I blame myself for the mistake I made with my decision especially since I didn't find any owner photos. and I should've known better about the quality of their clothing from their price tags.

This experience really turned me off from ringdoll. The whole thing was just so disappointing since he was my first doll. right now he is in his box in the corner of my closet lol

14. Shara Jan: Oh dear. I had a similar experience with a doll from a different company before. Having his face-up changed helped - lots.

What exactly did they mess up with his clothes? A friend of mine has quite a few clothes from them and I had a set for an MSD before. They were worked pretty good. Could you perhaps have gotten a defect outfit?

What body do you have? Ringteen 2 or 3? But yeah. Wrong stringing can do that.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. Thought I can't claim to have been lucky with RD myself so far. 3rd doll I purchased from them was a Kyo in fullset. After waiting for 3 months and some more, the package supposedly carrying my order got missing on it's way to the retailer. They had to re-produce him. So over 6 months wait (I think 8-9 months alltogether?) and when i looked at his face... it just wasn't what I had expected. I tried with him for a long time. Ended up getting a Valo head over a year ago and exchanging the head. I'm now happy with the result.

Similar, when I ordered Misha, expecting him to be more on the ns-y side, they suddenly switched ns color in between the batches. Friend got Misha in the ns I was expecting, I got a light pinkish one (see pic). I wasn't happy at all - especially when RD first denied a color change until they got a comparission pic shown -.-
My unhappiness also went into the face-up and I tried to sell him for a while. Recently wanted to try again and completly re-styled him. Worked wonders. I'm now happy with him as well.

But yeah. Overall I simply seem to draw the short stick with RD ^^°
Thought they were very helpful and fast when I decided to order a MSD outfit for a friend as X-mas gift. Again the quality was pretty good, so I'm surprised that the clothes turned out poor quality in your case.

15. @Snowy : That's really unfortunate what you had to go through. I'm glad everything in the end worked out fine (except the resin colour)
My pan's body is the 2nd teen body. His chest joint basically is nonfunctional and I'm afraid to pose anything else because of the really thin resin. (those knee flaps are crazy thin!)
My problem with the clothes isn't necessarily any defects. I have problems with the quality of the fabrics they used for the entire costume. for example, the boots of the style B pan are made up of really poor quality thin fake leather like fabric. It's kind of like socks lol. It's really unattractive when the shape of the doll's toes poke out of the front of the boots.:|

I actually checked with the company photos again to see if they changed the materials; but everything looked the same as what I received. I ended up checking almost all of their outfit photos and judging by the pictures; although they all look very beautiful in the stock photos, I could identify both good quality fabric and poor quality ones. My order seem to be one of the sets with poor choice of materials.
So as I have said before, I should've known better and examined everything more before I placed my order. At least I learned from my mistake :doh

edit: oh man! I was so focused on my rant that I completely forgot to state that your boy is gorgeous! He looks perfect from head to toe!:aheartbea

16. sharar jan: Well, now that I let go of the old concept I had for him and created this new one, I don't mind the resin color at all.
Sounds like quite a problem. The RingKid body I have is similary built to the RT-2 body and I have no problem with it. Thin resin is however always a problem... About the Chest joint: Have you considered placing a silicon disc inside? Should definitly help with the possability, I think, since the torso won't slide back into it's original position that easily.

Aaah. I see. Well, that's the issue with most 'modern, everyday' clothing, I think. I can totally understand what you mean.

I think research is one of the key elements in this hobby. I mean, I would hate nothing more than buying one doll, thinking it's nearly perfect, only to see another doll a few days later that REALLY is perfect for what I want, which I would have easily found if only I had properly done my research.
Or going through the whole list of doll producers (again) and checking every single mold in the size I'm looking for. (takes me a few evenings, but so worth it)

And thank you <3 I'm pretty pleased with how he turned out now. Wouldn't part with him now either.

On a side related note: Anyone seen the photo contest by Ringdoll? I'm thinking of participating. I do have a couple of ideas :3
