    4. Hi! Does anyone who already received Ringdoll Alpha body with chrome plating, did you notice if it's an easy scratch it or not? Should I use mr. clear and alternatives to protect the chroming parts from it? Possibly anyone can share their experience with it

    6. DV did a cat-taur Bastet but it was a tiny, I think.

    7. Sorry for the double post. My laptop was being weird

    8. Dollzone, but is was a limited release. They had an Anubis, and a cat faced one as well. I think you can still get them under cat and dog uncle, but not the whole Anubis full set thing.

    9. Fairyland did a couple - Isis, Ramses, and Bastet.

    11. @Lady L There were 2 DV Bastet in the MP a while back but I don't know if they're still there (the market is slow right now, I think, so maybe?). I do know that they were limited so your only option to get one would be 2nd hand.

    12. @Iron_Dog Thank you for telling me. I will have to do some more research of course. :3nodding: At least, I got Bast and Anubis from Ringdoll to start. I am so happy to see more doll companies creating Egyptian Dolls and I hope they continue to make more in the future too. :eusa_pray

@Iron_Dog I love fullset! I would have brought DOT Sha's Fullset but sadly his outfit was long gone when I finally discovered him.:...( I will buy other outfits for my dollies too but some fullsets just shocked me with how detailed they are. Ringdoll being an example of this with so many dolls I want. :D
That's crazy the one fullset you purchased became a super one of a kind and insane what happen to the artist.:o I dld see Soom Ender with the Jackal head on the site and loved it!:whee: I will keep looking for more Egyptian theme dolls and thank you for telling me more. I appreciate all the information!:dance

    13. @Lady L I like the concept of the Bast and Anubis Ringdoll has done but knowing myself, I wouldn't end up keeping them that way. I am content to admire them in other's collections. But I also never purposefully buy fullsets so....

I have only ever purchased a fullset once and that was because there was no other way for me to get my grubby hands on the doll I wanted. On the upside, he is an artist special cast, the only one they ever did in the colour he's cast and the only one the artist customized in that way. The sculpt was discontinued about 9 months before I bought him (I hadn't know he was discontinued) and about a year later the artist suffered a fire and lost a number of things including the master. So he's truly one of a kind and I've not changed anything about him.

Additionally, waaaay back in the day, Soom did Ender and the first release was with a black resin jackal head (in addition to the human head) and Egyptian inspired costume. A friend of mine has an Ender (fully human, no jackal head, no outfit) and he's beautiful. You can still find the human version now and again 2nd hand but finding the jackal head seems more difficult. I don't know about the outfit.

    14. @xatshe I just received my plated Alpha body and noticed scratches and wear at the joints. I don't know if they were scratched in transit but I'm sure the plating is similar to body blushing and joints will always be vulnerable.

    15. That's disappointing that there's already scratches/wear in the joints when you've literally just received him. But it is a finish on the resin and not the resin itself that is that colour so I guess it's to be expected.

    16. mine was mostly smooth (it arrived with broken finger and later inner part of the knee fell off) but during restringing process it scratched despite I was very careful, so that's why I was wondering should I protect it with something. I take photos with my dolls, I can't just leave him sitting, it was not the purpose :sweat

    17. @xatshe Part of the plating itself fell off? That's concerning. Did you contact RD about it and if so, what was their response?

    18. I contacted to RD regarding the hand, but not after the part cracked and fell off because at this point it's hard to prove I didn't hit it. Hand was broken after I opened the box and there is a video of the process. In this case I just bend the knees and part of the leg that holds knee join fell off. Since I didn't hit it, possibly it's construction of the knees itself, hard to say, it's my first RD body and it's a new body type, so when I ordered it there wasn't any feedback about it.
RD promised to replace the hand though

    19. @xatshe I'm glad to hear they're replacing the hand for you.

I have a doll (not RD) that I'm guessing had a weak spot or stress fracture inside the resin and when I went to string him (he was 2nd hand, shipped unstrung, bubble wrapped to heck & back and damage free when unwrapped), just the act of fitting the knee into the joint as I strung him made a piece break off. It was an easy fix to repair but it was distressing when it happened. There was nothing about the part that looked damaged at all when I got him so it's just a best guess as to why it happened. Perhaps something like that is what happened with your boy?

    20. yeah, I think it might be so. I didn't find any bubble inside, crack looks clean, but I believe as you mentioned it was a weak spot for sure.
