1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Ringdoll Grown Dolls, thread #10

Mar 12, 2025

    1. @xatshe and @Iron_Dog I am so sorry that happened.:atremblin

How is everyone feeling about their doll(s) being made and the wait?

I am so excited and I keep calming myself by looking at their pics everyday and watching box openings.:abambi: Thank you all for this chatroom! It is so stressful to wait for your dolly without having others to talk who are having the same experience. I know when I got my first bjd the wait was the hardest because it was my first time having that experience. Thankfully, DOA chatrooms helped so much at that time too!:cheer

    2. I'm waiting for my 1/4 Anubis that I ordered in the beginning of February. I hope he ships soon! I got the full-set minus the arm/knee guards and the staff which cost extra (I can make something similar for my doll myself). I'd love to order a Frankenstein, but I really hate waiting for new dolls.

    3. This news about defects in the Alpha bodies is making me a bit nervous for when mine shows up...guess I'd better film the box opening when it does

    4. Speaking of the Egyptian themed dolls, my Bast is whole once again and I regret absolutely nothing. I do need to glue in his piercings at some point but that's a problem for future me.

I thought I wasn't going to keep him in his fullset wig or eyes but he actually looks really good in them, he may get to stay like that for a while. Especially since I got used to my smaller SDs and wrangling this man is a two handed job.

    5. Ohhh he's lovely @Nasa !

    6. @Nasa your Bast looks super cuteee, the details of the fullset are amazing :D In what resin color is him? I want to chek if the Ringdoll tan colors match the "Soom Light Tan" for afloating head that will be shipped at the end of this month.

Owner pictures always show how great the Ringdoll fullsets look like in real time. now I want one of their Egyptian themed dolls, maybe Anubis! His face is so divine~ and it would be cool to have that new 1/4 size :XD:

    7. Thank you! He's very charming. As far as I know, he's just Ringdoll's default "tanning" color. Unfortunately, the only Soom tans I have are several years old at this point, and I believe they were "tawny" rather then light tan, so I don't have an in-person comparison for you. It IS fairly light, as tans go, so you might be able to fudge any difference with the faceup?

    8. @Nasa thank you for the information. So their "tan" is pretty light. At the moment they also have "Light Tan" but it looks suuuper light, lile an opaque normal skin that looks light tan when the lights and shadows hit right, but I don't have owner pictures for reference. My head would be an artist's head, so the "soom light tan" would be the in this "light tan" that is more constant as a commercial palette and not Soom's own that is inconsistent.

The last RDbody that came out is so pretty that I like it for the head, but if not I'll have to buy an artist body that also sells it in "soom light tan", or one of those companies that make matches.

My Saladin arrived yesterday. He is also in tan resin. He is a beautiful doll but I was sent the wrong mask.

    11. I am tempted to buy one of the boys Ringdoll will discontinue soon.
I have been in contact with acbjd for it and asked them about the skin colors.
They have listed Elzevir with the options normal, normal yellow and white.
I asked them about the normal yellow, because I am not aware that color even exists anymore. But yes, they said it's a color in itself and it's not meaning the milk color too.

So now I am confused, does someone know about Ringdolls current normal yellow?

    12. Ringdoll may have old back stock. I was able to purchase a never used, discontinued head with no yellowing that was cast in 2018.

    13. I believe Ringdoll also started offering a more yellow normal to be close to Soom normal early this year (this is what I've ordered my Alpha body on – I would show pictures, but he hasn't arrived yet sadly)
To quote the email I had from Alice in January: "Sorry they don't have normal yellow skin in domestic market (they consider us their domestic dealer) but they have Soom normal skin. We're not sure whether it's the same as their normal yellow skin".

    14. Now that's strange, Alice telling you they don't have normal yellow since they are considered their domestic dealer.
I wish I could find actual pictures and more information with that color. Soom normal would be interesting, if that is indeed similar. I believe that is a darker normal, not as pale as Ringdoll ns?

    15. Yes, as far as I'm aware, Ringdoll normal is more of a pale peachy colour that isn't too far off white.
Soom Normal would be yellow toned, but it'll be interesting to see how Ringdoll's version turns out given how often Soom themselves change resin colours.
I know some Alphas are making their way to their owners, so if mine arrives, I'll share a resin comparison

    16. I don't know what Soom normal looks like, but I wouldn't consider Ringdoll's normal close to white. The ones I have are actually pretty close in tone to Loongsoul's normal yellow.

    17. @quilleth That's very interesting – being near Loongsoul NY would put Ringdoll NY in the same ballpark as Volks Fair/Normal...I'm still curious as to Alice implying there's domestic and international colour selections

    18. I got a reply from acbjd regarding the normal yellow skin for Elzevir.
"Regarding normal yellow, Ringdoll said it's only available for some of their dolls, sorry it's not available for Elzevir. Ringdoll normal yellow is close to Soom normal."

Ok .. So now you say it's not available for Elzevir. After three emails and it beeing a choice on acbjd.. Thanks I guess

But good to know more about the color.

    19. A possible new Elzevir appreciator!? I bought mine a couple of years ago and he's so damn adorable. A total impulse purchase, but one I absolutely do not regret.

    20. How is the face up of yours? I have seen some owner pictures that looked very pinkish. Which resin color is your Elzevir?
