Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     2. I don't believe them either. Looking closely at the brow and jawline, it's just too similar for me. But Ringdoll has said (on Tumblr) that they'll put up a comparison of Edward and the new Frankenstein's head, so we'll see.

    6. I saw the pictures on tumblr this morning and I am just ridiculously excited. That headcap is the most fantastic thing. *-*

      I was planning on ordering through MoC toward the end of the month, but I don't know if I can wait. Even if the order won't go to Ringdoll any sooner, I am too excited!

    7. Same here! I really should wait more towards the end of the month...but I really want the Bride and this morning the office manager suggestively reminded me that my yearly review is coming up (Aug 1st) and told me to keep up the good work. So I'm thinking raise is in my future :eusa_pray which would be very nice after the month of crazy OT I've been working! Yay, dolly funds :sigh

    10. Cherry send me pics of the two heads without faceup side by side to me, and I see the difference. Some heads are going to look similar.

    11. This is the image Cherry sent me as a comparison between Edward and the new Frankenstein's head I do see some differences here that weren't as apparent before. They are very close, but now I actually do see that they're different.

    12. LOL. That's as close as damn it. Frank's nose might be a little sharper, but that is about it that I can see, given the different resin colours and the fact that one has a faceup and the other doesn't.

    13. I can see that the eyes are different, frank has a tiny bit more of a brow to him and a much rounder face and less chin then edward does. Franks lips are more full as well. he does look to be different indeed.

    14. Honestly? It looks like a very lightly modded Edward, certainly not a whole new head. It would have been better if they had been honest about that. No one is going to blame them for slightly adjusting one of their existing sculpts for this.

    15. ROFL!!!! I'm with you. They look identical to me. It's not like they don't reuse sculpts all the time. I got a tan Sol when he was released and my wife pointed out that he was the same doll as the paler-skinned Kay or something, and I was like...then why not just say they're offering that doll in tan now? XD Nobody cares, but there's no denying how similar those two are. I don't mind at all. I love Edward and he's a great choice for a Franken II.

    16. Perhaps a modded head I can see that.
      Ringdoll has been honest in the past with their other sculpts that they reused so I personally see no point to not believe them now,and also because it doesn't matter to me, I like edward to :). The unfortunate part is that people will blame them, because there's always someone who does, even though the 2011 was sol's head. Someone who preordered him without a full look at the doll will be miffed if its not a brand new sculpt. Some people's kids....lol

    17. It doesn't irk me at all that they re-used a head. As has been said, they have done it before. What has been a deal-breaker for me is that the head in the first teaser doesn't look like this one. It looks perhaps more like Ronald with a weirdly half-closed eye (although that might be the camera angle), and it gave him a more haunted look.

      Overall, I am not a fan of their head sculpts. They just don't seem to be as sophisticated as the sculpting that they have produced for the rest of the doll. Look at the mechanical parts. Someone there can really sculpt. But that head is too...soft? Lacking in precision? Lacking in anatomical accuracy? Something off. It almost looks as though it was sculpted by someone else. Not a problem. I really don't need another doll.

    18. So... we've seen loads of pictures of Franken13's head, and faceup, but none for Eva. The pictures I have seen have a sloppy high-school-gawth faceup I wouldn't want for free, much less pay an extra $100+ for :| Am I missing something?

    19. I'm hoping they'll have more photos of Eva too. Even if I don't get her, I want to see what she'll look like in the end. Maybe they'll post more soon? I think Dollism ended a couple days ago, so maybe they're getting the pictures together or something (I hope)
