IMHO Rosettes really need a website overhaul! I love my girls but hate explaining how to navigate their poorly designed website. I don't mind seeing the Rosette style evolve and change to reflect a more popular aesthetic and I'm very intrigued to see what the future holds for the line. I am sad that they don't have their own special boxes any more though...

Thank you! If it's just the face up, then I won't worry about it. I'm sad to see the Victorian boarding school aesthetic is being phased out. It's what initially attracted me to the line. Oh well, the gorgeous figures and faces are still gorgeous, I guess I'll just have to make my own clothes in the style.
Eh, I think it's honestly hard to tell if it was the Victorian theme that was slowing down sales, versus the huge time between releases, or the impossible-to-navigate website, or the refusal to be flexible regarding what bodies/skin tones/face-ups they did offer. It's a shame to see them moving away from their original theme, but at least if they fix all the other problems the Rosette line might become more popular. And maybe they'll revisit Victorian-themed releases later on.
Could be the fact that they neglect the line. The body style's pretty popular and they're cheaper than most of the GEM stuff I've seen. It comes across as they've run out of ideas. :/
Maybe the doll gods have answered our prayers and the site is finally getting a much needed overhaul! I mean it's absolutely ridiculous to be suddenly paying attention to the line with all these new releases and still have a non functioning site from which to order. Maybe they're just all sold out temporarily while the site is being redone?
So apparently I keep spamming this thread... BUT Rosette has been posting a bunch of teasers on Twitter but there is NO change to the website and it's driving me nuts! Anyone have any theories??
The Phlox limited edition is up! And they've allowed all three skintone options (white, normal and tan) again, and body/bust choices! I'm really excited about this, because it hopefully means this is the new 'standard', which is something a lot of us have wanted for a long time! On the other hand, I'm devastated that the bishop chess piece is part of her release! The odds of me finding someone to split it from are really terrible, considering how few people tend to buy Rosette girls I snagged both the pawn and knight pieces and was hoping to get a complete set, but now things aren't looking so good... On the positive side, I love her LE face-up. I wasn't a huge fan of Phlox's head sculpt originally because I thought the lips were a bit... odd somehow? But seeing her LE face-up has really changed my opinion of her (which is good, since I ended up caving and getting her head in white skin from the basic release after all )
Wow! The hooves are shoes!!! I thought they were just weird feet LOL! I like Phlox, but I'd really rather just have a plain standard of her I think. Though the full set is lovely, it's just too much. I with the antlers looked more like deer antlers, then I could make her a mori style girl. Not that I can get her anyway...
I love the way they translated the hooves into wearable shoe parts, but if the feet are those shapeless slabs again.........
Oh no i really want a tan phlox Slab feet... Does that mean if you got the doll without all the extra fantasy parts she wouldn't have real feet?! dumb question haha new question: Is there one regular tan colour used with rosettes? when I searched flickr I saw a few variations I think... Do we know what kind of tan this release could be?
Wow she looks incredible! Creative solution they have with the feet. Too bad the web site is still a bit of a mess :/ I haven't been in it for a while, what's the deal with the chess pieces?
