Rosette 47cm discussion Part 6

Just when I thought it was safe to jump all-in on ordering some other dolls, too!

Hopefully there'll be a basic, unlimited release right from the start, so I won't have to wring my wallet out even harder

 

Sorry for double posting, but the boy teasers are UP!

Looks like:
1. Every girl head is being reused as a boy head, with alternate names (Ameria = Adonis, Camellia = Chamomile, Fir = Fern, Marguerite = Moss, Phlox = Prunus, Violet = Victor, Sakura = Sage, 'Dahlia' = Dandelion. Pretty sure that last name is a type of 'Delilah'). I am pretty sure that the head sculpts aren't changing, but they are getting more masculine face-ups, but there are only tiny thumbnail images at the moment, so who knows!

2. Two new sculpts, which have both boy and girl names listed, and so will possibly be released on girl bodies as well (Holly/Hazel and Lavender/Larch)

3. All the boys are available in three skintones, not just normal!

4. There is also a listing for a Basic Girl Ameria, and she's got all options available (Pure/Muse, Girl/Lady, three skintones)!

BUT

5. There is no body type choice currently listed, and there is a Muse Boy Body available in the 'parts' section. Might mean us Pure Rosette collectors will have to wait a bit longer to add any boys to our collections

So lots and lots of exciting things happening on the Rosette website. I can't wait until tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers that 'Basic' means they'll be unlimited, and that maybe there's a Pure Boy Body just waiting to be uploaded...

 

Arg!!! I need tall boys!! All my girls a Pure Rosette!

I actually don't mind the reuse of heads so much. That Fir boy is super cute! So is Phlox! OMG! I might need a Phlox boy!!

 

I agree on both counts! I think I actually like Sage (aka Sakura) and Chamomile (aka Camellia) better as boys, but there's no point me buying a lovely lanky boy Rosette if he's going to be dwarfed by my Pure girls!

Edit: I'm not certain, but I think the head on the sales image for the Muse Boy Body looks like it might be one of the new sculpts, Lavender/Larch!

EDIT: And more photos of the Muse Boy Body are up! Still no sign of a Pure version, but it might be possible to hybridise Pure girl arms and legs onto the male body to get a Pure boy...

There's no hip joint, which is a bit sad. I really do prefer the Pure body styling to the Muse body style.

 

eeee! so awesome. I personally love its Muse size, as I only have a Muse girl, as she fits better with other MSDs. I do hope they do a pure version for all the pure fans out there though! I really like the new Holly/Hazel head from the looks of the thumbnail. I will be safe from immediate purchase for now though...as long as there are no elf ears. If there are elf ears, I'm sunk...

 

I'm not on the forum very much anymore, but everytime I am I make sure to check here. I am glad I did today!! I'm super excited about the new options. I need to take a new rosette pic to share when my new girl (delilah) arrives. Upon her arrival I will have 6 Rosettes. FYI I have a souldoll boy(shaun) paired with my Muse Vela and they look great together.

If that is the new boy I love his face!!! I hope they just come out with the Pure body! I have heard terrible stories about trying to restring Rosettes and I DO NOT WANT TO HYBRID! I am a lazy, lazy doll owner! LOL!

 

It looks like they have added new little portrait outfits of the basic girls with maybe new neutral faceups/styling - it's possible we're getting an open ordering period for all the designated "basic" Rosette with choice of resin color! The Boy-Armeria/Adonis listing says the ordering period is "From June 16th to July 7th 2015". I wonder if they're thinking of doing general limited order periods for basics? I can't imagine they'd make the boys entirely limited as basics.

It does appear that right now the Muse boys will be the only offering this go-around ^^;

Aha, here we go, here's the official announcement:

So Rosette IS moving to a more-Latidoll style of ordering periods for basics, for both boys and girls.

 

I like ordering periods! It totally works! That way it's predictable and available! Instead of months and months of NOTHING like this last year has been.

And if the Pure arms and legs are an option for the Muse boys WHY DON'T THEY JUST STRING THEM AND SELL THEM AS PURE BOYS!!??!?! OMFG!

Lastly- I follow Rosette's twitter and I NEVER see updates from them!! But I will go to their twitter and retweet like a mofo starting tomorrow? I guess? They seem to be running behind on the event. The Rosette boys haven't updated with pics yet.

 

I can definitely dig order periods as opposed to the format they've been using. The predictability of new releases will make it much easier to save up!

 

I want a Vela.

 

UPDATE WITH MORE PICTURES STUPID ROSETTE!! Arg! It's like 3 days into the event and there still aren't pictures of the boys available!

 

I just went to the rosette site. if you go to basic dolls the boys are listed there and there are pics.

**EDIT** oh, I see none of the new sculpts have pics yet.

 

Half the boys don't have pics up yet! The Sakura and Violet boy are still MIA as well as the new sculpts. I'm dying to see Phlox as a boy- I think I like the sculpt even more as a boy. But no joy yet...

EDIT: OMG! Even some the girls don't have their pics back!!

 

I'm pretty sure the lack of pictures is intentional - on that announcement, it sounded like they were releasing pictures for one (male/female) mold per day. Which is a weird way to run an ordering period that is already open (as opposed to building up to the ordering period, like Luts' summer event releases have done this year) but I don't think it's an error!

So right now Armelia/Adonis, Camellia/Chamomile, and Dahlia/Dandelion's pictures are live, and it seems to be moving in order that we'll see next - Fir/Fern, Holly/Hazel, Lavender/Larch, Maguerite/Moss, Phlox/Prunus, Sakura/Sage, and Violet/Victor over the course of the next week (or so, cause I'm not sure they'll upload pictures over the weekend).

 

Sorry for entering since I don't have one of these beautis but I just have to say wow! And congratulations, I remember not to long ago everyone was talking about wanting boys and now their here ^___^ I'm going to be so screwed lol I have already wanted the girls for a while lol

 

Wow wow wow! So much action on this thread, this is so awesome! Can't believe there are Rosette boys now! Though, just for reference, if anybody is looking to hybrid, Rosette 2014 resin is a pretty good match with Souldoll 2014 resin. I know the struggle of dressing a rosette girl, so I cannot imagine how hard it will be to find clothing for the boys.

On the bright side, I managed to find a night gown that isnt *too* loose on Emily and still fits my other MSD girls too

I just saw the boys' pics on the Rosette site! I really hope they decide to make Pure boys in the future, or some of us are going to have to get really creative with hybrids.

Speaking of hybrids, I just put down a payment on a Rosette Violet head that I'll be putting on a Darak-I body! I tested the fit yesterday with my Marguerite's head, and it worked like a dream with no modification! Violet has such a sweet little face, I'm so excited!

 

At this rate Rosette is cutting it close on the pictures/open order period! By the time the pics go up there won't be much time to make a decision!

But one I finish all my layaways (in six months *sob*) I think I'll start saving a boy and some more girls.
