1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Rough Play

Jun 19, 2010

    1. I'm usually pretty rough on my dolls, but I learned not to take them to art class the hard way--everyone was gathering items from around the room, so I half-jokingly set my doll gently on the display, sure not to let any of his bare skin touch the dirty table, when my art teacher, hands black with charcoal, picked him up and started messing with him, pulling his clothes up to poke at his joints and everything. Seeing as she was my eacher, I couldn't just nab him out of her hands and yell at her for being so oblivious, o I waited until she set him down, then scurried off to the bathroom to clean him before aything stained. Took quite some time to get all those smears and fingerprints off. u_u;;

    2. I keep my dolls out of their boxes for fast amounts of time. I take them out in the direct sunlight for the pictures and hundred other things such as putting them on high places for photos and leaving them standing on their own on tables. I play with them a lot. Yet I have only few little scratch etc. in them. Also I handle them far harder than I would let anyone else do :sweat But still I've lot of care around them, and try keep them out of the harms way

    3. I've taken my dolls to a lot of places. I like to do outdoor photo shoots with them and don't mind if they get a little dirty. I took one of them on a hayride even once. Right now I don't have a good place to display them, but once we get a house next year, I plan to have some type of area where I can pose and play with them daily. I only have 2 of my dolls here with me right now and the other 3 are at my parents' house because there is just no room here in the apartment. I change outfits and wigs and use props and all kinds of things. I guess I figure, whats the point in having a doll that moves if it just stays stationary on a shelf all the time, or worse, in a box. My dolls probably have some yellowing due to going outside a lot, but I do not even notice, honestly. To me, the resin is already kind of yellow, and it happens gradually, so it's not a big deal :).

    4. I haven't taken my doll outdoor yet since I got one. I do make sure that they're not sitting/standing in direct sunlight but beside that, I don't think I treat them all that fragile. Of course, I don't throw them around but I'm not afraid to touch their face, blushing or pull them into a pose.

      I figure the coats of MSC should hold everything it place and since they're not some sort of glass doll, why not play with them ^-^
