@skyealloway My Luthien is peach cream, which is really like ns. It´s very nice, I really like the color. I cannot remember if Sonoran beige was offered at the time when I bought it. Even if I probably would not have chosen it due to the additional costs. But if money isn´t an issue I would probably prefer it. It looks really cool, and yellowing isn´t that visible as with the lighter colors.

 

@oriscany that is a good point, maybe sonoran beige as an option is a mistake in the listing.

 

My Elleanor aph in peach cream will ship toward the end of May! I'm excited. I love elf dominic, but generally I budget for one doll per year.

 

Congrats!! @Lelm ! I know what you mean, I'm usually a one mayybbeeee 2 dolls a year person myself. Yet here I am, in May, contemplating dolls 3 and 4 already

There are some great artists I've been following too so I can't even say I'll stop at 4 this year....

I think I'm going to get Amber Beige for both Luthien and Dominic. Sartoriaj instagram has lots of pictures of thier dolls in Amber Beige and the color seems very versatile.

Well I did it! I placed the order for two amber beige elves - Luthien and Dominic....

Thank you all! I ordered Dominic with his wonderful Faceup, but I went ahead and ordered Luthien blank. Now I get to think of ideas to paint her while I wait. I really hope I like her in person. I love her SD version but I don't always love the look of the MSD and I'm hoping it's just the Faceup.

Looking at my elves right now, I have a few with a natural Faceup or minimal makeup look. Perhaps Luthien wants a look like Hela (Cate Blanchett in Thor Ragnarok) with dramatic smudgy black eyeliner.... Or maybe shes more of a warrior, with war paint and dirty face...

 

@skyealloway I was surfing through the SartoriaJ site...saw elf Dominic, hmmmmmm'ed at him..... and now I can't wait to see yours! And I can't wait to see how you style your Luthien.So exciting!!

 

How long does an order usually take from Sartoriaj?

 

My Jude took just short of four months.

Speaking of Jude.....I made him a second, shorter wig. Same mohair, same basic style, just half the length....

 

I like him in that wig.

 

I liked the longer one more ... it made him look more wild, untamed.

 

Gosh that's an amazing wig. I like him in both. Thank you for your reply @MB Lilac on the wait time. It's been almost 3 1/2 months since I ordered the first doll and about 3 for the second. I was getting worried. On another thread (Iplehouse large dolls) they were saying that the mail is really backed up in Asia.

 

@Patrice - Thanks. I thought two different wigs in the same colour and basic style would mean more opportunities for different periods.
@Ashemanu - I love the longer one too, but I've been thinking of trying him in different periods, so then he'd need a shorter more fashionable style.
@oriscany - Thanks. As to shipping from Korea, I got a shipping notice from Iplehouse last Thursday, and my doll arrived in less than a week. It only took that long because there was a weekend in there, and our PO doesn't work on weekends. So that was just the normal shipping time for me.
