Yay! My Dominic should be getting here by the end of the week! Of course his suit is still in progress an coming with Lobelia when she comes, but that's okay. I have some pants he can wear in the meantime, and he'll have a shirt and some shoes and things.

@Ashemanu - Thanks. He was lucky that he fit into the outfit I'd made for an FID guy back in 2019. Although I did make a new wine red vest for him to wear with it.
@nancy_schroeder_ca - Yes, he does. Although he needed his shorter wig. His long one didn't look right.

 

Does anyone know if SartoriaJ MSDs (Aphrodite 45) can wear Minifee high heels? I can only find measurements for both flat feet, which is 5,3cm for SartoriaJ and 5,5cm for Minifees. I bought myself the Fairyland Luha clothes set including the shoes and I'm wondering if they might fit SartoriaJ's middle heel feet.

Thanks. I've been waiting for some dolls to be dressed in eighteenth century costumes just so I could go take photos there. And he turned out to be the perfect candidate.

 

@MB Lilac - Great shot and I just love that coat! And how you aged it. That's my biggest regret with some of my dolly clothing...it doesn't look 'lived in'.

 

Thanks. I make most of my doll clothes out of old clothes from the secondhand shop. I choose natural fabrics so they will crinkle. I'll squeeze all fabrics to see if they crinkle, and if they don't, I don't buy it. This coat was made from an old denim shirt, and after it was finished I sanded it - especially all the edges - then stained it. After it dried I wet it again and let it dry on the doll so it would hang properly.

 

You should do commissions? Did anyone else see the "coming soon" Juliet that Sartoria J has on their IG? I think I need her even though Naomi is still in her box unfaced up and unloved because I can't find a wig I like for her.

 

Yes, I saw her. She reminds me of another actress again, but I can't put my finger on it. She looks interesting.

 

She is meant to look like Olivia Hussey who played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet in the 1970s and the Virgin Mary in Jesus of Nazareth.

I put her on layaway today.

 

I have on layaway sd jarrad and naomi. Both with face ups but now I'm thinking to put two msd size dolls on layaway as well. Hmm, my bank account will be crying again

Oh I am so tempted by Jude. His face is just gorgeous and the pictures here have been super unhelpful in making me not want him because they're so pretty and his face is so pretty.
