1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

SartoriaJ Mini

Jul 18, 2019

    1. Wow. Great job at the wig.

I do love EyesforDoll eyes. My Elf Jude wears some. I'm very surprise tho to hear that your Luthien took a 10mm size. I didn't think that size would work with the smaller head. I know I've had the 10MM in my Zakary SD head.

She is just lovely. I really like how you customized her.

    2. @Bren thank you. I tried some 8mm eyes and found they gapped at the edges which I did not like. I tried some eyes I had from EyesbySize and 8 mm gapped, 10mm didn't sit flush in her eyes and looked sunken. The 9mm fit but the color I had wasn't what I wanted for her. I think the 10mm from EyesforDolls works because it is very rounded and fills her eyes socket well.

I have a similar problem with wigs, almost none of my wigs fit her right, including the wig I bought from SartoriaJ when I ordered her. the crochet wig is essentially her only hair option right now haha.

    3. I understand since I hate gapping eyes on any doll. I find Jude was in the same boat for the SD head. I had some 12mm 5mm irises from an etsy store. I had bought the eyes for another doll, but the 12mm size was too small but it fit the Jude just perfectly. It's a little frustrating when you have to do a hit and miss a few times to find what brand/vendor will work with them. And some of the eyes are not cheap. So it can be a total waste. Glad to hear you did find something that worked for her. On the smaller Jude heads I find that Masterpiece eyes 6/7 work rather well for him tho that size for some of the rest of the msd size gaps. For those 7/8 seem to work better.

yikes about the wig. I found that problem with my Smaller head elfJude because of the ears. I thought they wore 5/6 but no, in the Monique Gold size he usually wears 6/7. And the wig I had bought for him from SJ, was not fitting. I got it wet and stretched it some with my fingers and then I popped it on his head over night. It was a blond wig so no staining. If yours is dark you may want to cover her head with cling wrap or something so it doesn't stain if you decide to go that route.

as I stated. She does look lovely.

while I'm here. I'll share my little elf guy N'ava

    4. @Bren I've never heard of getting the wig wet to stretch it, that's a good tip! Sadly the SartoriaJ wig has been claimed by Fayeth, my creature doll Lucia, or i would try it lol.

I named my elf Luthien yesterday! She is now Luciana!

Love N'ava. My elf Dominic still awaits a name.

    5. Hi, I just learned about sartoriaj about a month ago and was wondering have they ever sold just MSD size heads or it is always full set dolls?

    6. They started with just heads but when they created bodies they now sell full dolls.

    7. I already posted in the waiting room, but I also wanted to share my excitement here.
My Gray Elf Lobelia's status was changed from "pending" to "Queued for shipping" and I couldn't be more excited. :love
I'm so curious what the gray resin will look like in person.

    11. I was trying to straighten up a wig that was a little messed up, so it was just luck that I found it was easier to put back on him. A little more relalexed. I would not recommend to do it on his head if the wig is dark color until completely dry. I wouldn't want staining. It was a blond wig I was messing with

Luciana is a beautiful name for her.

    12. Congrats!! Could you tell me when did you put your order? I bought MSD Juliet at the end of this October but some ppl said they were still waiting for their dolls ordered in August. OMG that is really a long time.

    13. I ordered my gray Lobelia on August 27th. She has been "Queued for shipment" for over a week now.

    14. My fog gray Lobelia was ordered August 19th and as of yet she has not been queued for shipment.:pout:
I did use 3 month lay a way for her though, so she was paid off in October. I ordered fog gray Jude with both heads on August 13 and he hasn't been queued for shipment either. Both orders had clothes on them as well. I wonder if that is holding things up.

    15. I did not use layaway. She was paid in full when I ordered her and no clothes were ordered, just a face-up. We're all used to long wait times, right?... ;)

    16. Thanks! I ordered her on August 31 and payed her off on a 3 month layaway. I don't think it's such a long wait. I'm used to longer waiting times, from Fairyland for example. I waited 5 1/2 months for my Miwa. :XD:

Mine is still "queued for shipment" too. Checking my account every day to see if the status changed. Does SartoriaJ send out e-mails when they ship the doll?

Just for the record, I ordered clothes, too. And I added a pair of Middle Heel Feet to my order about a month later.

    17. Yes, SartoriaJ send emails when your doll is shipped. I had the longest wait for my 45Aph recently, ordered in June.. nearly 6 months in total from when I ordered. But I had 3 month layaway and an outfit in the order, which adds waiting time. I think the faceup waiting time was one to two months. Once shipped, my doll was with me within 5 days in the UK, and wasn't held by customs either! :) Totally brilliant service, the best <3

    18. Thank you so much for the answer. It looks like my waiting time will be really long because I ordered faceup, clothes, shoes, wigs ,eyes etc...lol Hope my love to them will still be there after such a long time waiting

    19. Woohoo! I got the shipping email! Now for the hardest part of the waiting...

    20. My SartoriaJ Jarrad (second hand) just arrived. He's my first actually here BJD and I'm super excited. Photos will be here when I actually unpack him and maybe put some clothes on him.

ETA: I love the headsculpt way more in person than I did in photographs and he's wonderfully posable but his hips are super duper floppy. So I am going to have to restring his legs at least. Fortunately his first home included the instruction manual and the extra elastic. Dude definitely needs some clothes though.
