SartoriaJ Mini

Jul 18, 2019

    1. Ugh i love Matias' look, but I'm not sure I want another SartoriaJ man. Not that they aren't beautiful, but I find the posing on my Dominic sort of....irritating. I'm considering just ordering all of Matias stuff - his outfit and armor and boots....maybe also the hair. Just let Dominic have it all. But ugh that face on Matias is so good!

How does an Iplehouse fid man or a Raccoondoll man compare in posing to a SartoriaJ? I have girls from each company but my Dominic is the only man.

    2. I feel your pain. I didn't much care for Matias when he was clean shaven, but he's so gorgeous with the facial hair. But do I really want another big SJ guy that I can't do much with? They are so gorgeous, but my dolls need to do more than just stand there looking handsome.

I agree, the SJ men don't pose very well. Their arms are especially bad., which was a surprise considering they even have that extra twist joint. But my guys' arms will only stay straight out or completely bent, but nothing in between. I had to wire my guys' arms just so they'd look more natural. My Iplehouse guys pose WAY better. However, my Naomi poses great. Except her knees can be rather unsightly if I want her to sit (they tend to pop out of alignment) but those are always hidden under her skirts, so I don't care.

    3. Huh, I had ordered small Matias a few days ago - didn´t think much about his posing abilities cause the girls pose well. I hope he can at least sit upright without too much help or stuff in his back.
Does anybody know if the Chelsea boots fit the 51 ATH feet? My experiences with SartoriaJ shoes and boots are not exactly good.

    4. I've thought the SJ men arms posed rather well. I love the ability to twist the elbow.

    5. I love that twist joint at the elbow too, and had hoped it would really help with posing. But without the wire my guys' arms won't stay bent, at least not in any kind of partial bend. They just pop out straight again.

    6. I agree @MB Lilac I've had the same experience with mine, his arms just do what they want and tend to 'snap back' out of poses unless I use 2 hands to manipulate the elbow just so. He stands surprisingly well! And he is beautiful! But his arms are annoying. I almost wonder if he'd be better if he was strung a little looser.

My two girls are great posers and beautiful:)

    7. @MB Lilac - I don't think I have any dolls that will hold their arms in any position (without wiring) except maybe for the most extreme angles.

    8. Alicent, my Naomi, just because I was playing with her a bit this morning

    9. She's gorgeous! I don't know what they were thinking when they discontinued her.

    10. Agreed. I don't understand a lot of their business decisions over the past year. I'm glad I got her when I did. She's really a beautiful sculpt. The decision to retire her and Jude baffles me.

    11. Speaking of Jude. Hopefully mine will be here this year. He's in the UK now, he's just got to get from the airport to my home. I suppose you could say he's driving home for Christmas.

Which is of course the moment when I realise he doesn't have eyes or a wig. Or clothes. But the clothes thing I can fix much quicker.

    13. Oh thank you so much! :XD: I didn't plan out for her to have these eyes and wig...but I really like them. They did her faceup very nice especially the scar.
