1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I have to say, I'm really loving the newly released short hair wigs for male 1/4 dolls, but holymoly, 150$ for a short MSD wig? :nowords:
Any ideas why they are so expensive? Is it because of the short hair on the sides? Is that harder to make than long haired wigs?

    2. Speaking for myself, male wigs are WAY harder and much more time consuming to make than wigs for ladies. Men have a completely different hairline than women, and can't have just the standard round wig cap. They need sideburns and those are very challenging.

My Dominic's wig took me three whole days to make.

My Judes' wigs took two days each...

I've been working on Matias' wig for four days already, and I think it's finally somewhat acceptable. Although it's not what I had in mind for him, so I'm probably going to have to start over from scratch.

On the other hand, a wig for a lady takes just a fraction of the time and effort.

    3. @Amadiel oh I feel you! When I saw the teasers for the wigs, I was like oooo I need that! But then I looked at the price and said nah it's not that great after all :p

Male wigs are hard to make, and those look really nice, but I don't think I'll be spending that much on a wig anytime soon either. I'll just suffer with more plain wigs haha

    4. I bought some of the wigs for around 70$, Raphaelยดs, Matias, and I am not impressed. They are very thick and superglossy, which I hate. All in all, they are just thicker synthetic fibre wigs. Usual wigstyle cut shorter. An exception is the red MSD wig which is shown on the Ella page. That one looks really good.
But I really have to say that lots of my Monique wigs look better and were much cheaper.

    5. Thanks Bren.

    6. The new 5th season MSDs are listed! I love the coco brown; I like it better than the Amber beige, but I'm not in the market for a new human character. The Nicole and Leslie faces are lovely, and I like the short boy hair and all the pockets on the vests.

    8. He looks amazing now !

    9. @MB Lilac - Oh he's so wonderful! The wig you made looks perfect for him! What resin is he? Sonoran beige?

    10. Martha, I love the faceup they gave him, and you did a wonderful job on his wig. It looks like the wig you made is a tone or two lighter than his facial hair, and that's the purfecct color. Now, can I have him??

    11. @skyealloway - Thanks. he does look so much better now.
@luluna - Yes, they did a much nicer job the second time. He's Sonorran beige.
@oriscany - Thank you. Yes, they did a much nicer job on his second faceup. I had originally wanted him to have dark brown hair, and did make a wig but trimmed it too much, so had to start over. But I had ran out of dark brown mohair, and wasn't looking forward to dying some, so I tried Jude's blonde wig on him, and I thought that looked great, so made Matias a similar wig in a light antique brown.

    12. Did anyone get some of the new MSDs from the summer sale? Edward totally cried out to me the moment I saw him ... even told me his name instantly when I opened his page. Who could resist that ;)

    14. My last order for sd doll from Sartoriaj arrived in 5 months time. with face up. so its getting better as other dolls was around 8 months of waiting time.

    15. Oh 5 months isn't too bad. I've put Melissa on a six month layaway (with the tentative plan to pay her off early if she's ready :sweat)
So I'm ready for a long wait :XD:

    16. Yes, my last doll was on 6 month layaway as well, and after 5months i got letter that she is ready to be shipped. so i paid layaway payment early and she was shipped.

    17. It's always nice when you get them sooner than expected!

Just wondering, I ordered Melissa in sonoran beige. Is that similar to iplehouse special real? Does anyone have any comparison pics? :)

    18. I ordered Ella and now Edward and am looking forward to getting both of them. I just love when their name pops in your head like that as soon as you see a doll.

    19. @Patrice S Ella is lovely! I was very tempted by her too, but I wanted to wait for the 5th season dolls. Hopefully the big ones will not speak the same way to me too ;)

    20. I didn't get one of the new ones, but I got Juliet, which I am very excited about!!!

For timeframe: I ordered my first doll in December (with face-up) and paid for her straight away, and got her in May, so it was 5 months for me too, if that helps. So I suppose I might get Juliet around this December - so that's my Christmas present to myself sorted!
