1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Sculpts that already have your name?

Oct 1, 2024

    1. I’ve come across one doll with a name close to my first name: Lucille by Dollstown. She’s got a world weary look. I picked up a Lucille head they went on final sale. I answer to Anne but haven’t run across any namesake sculpts but I haven’t sought any out either.

    2. There's a Fairyland Pukifee with my real name- Zoe. I don't like to proportions of Pukifee, and I don't have any attraction to the sculpt, so I have no desire to own one Luts Zuzu Delf Lio is similar to my most widely used online alias. There are a few Leon sculps out there, too.

    3. Nah. My name is too Americanized. There was a doll with my middle name, but I'm not attached to my middle name, so I didn't feel that pull of "doll named like me!"
Now, if a doll company decided to go to Disney and get permission to make a doll named after my username, well - that would be an immediate buy.

    4. I did a quick google and found out Souldoll has a doll named Molly. Her sculpt isn't really my thing, but she's very pretty. It's kind of neat to find a doll twin like that.

    5. My full name is Elizabeth Josephine, so the Volks March sisters both have my name! My parents didn't even name me after Little Women. Volks also has the Liz sculpt too.

    6. Mystic Kids Victor shares my first name, and it's one of the reasons I want his head at the very least! I adore the moodier look he conveys especially in the promo pics, I'm glad to have such a cutie representing my name ^^

    7. Mystic Kids Beth - and she's completely adorable. She's on my wish list.

Doll Chateau used to have a Wanda, which is my mom's name, but I missed out on getting her.

    8. I just recently happened across Asleep Eidolon's Anika. She is quite cute so no complaints there! Even with the correct spelling (it seems to be more common to spell Annika where I live).

    9. My name is a very common/mundane one but thankfully so boring that I've only come across one sculpt with it. I'm saying thankfully because if a sculpt I liked shared my name I would probably have to pass on getting it because of that. Same goes if they'd have the same name as someone I know irl, I just associate names very strongly with the people that have them so I worry I would struggle to make the doll their own character if there was some other association to a person already there from the get go.

Good thing Finnish names rarely come up as sculpt names so I've yet to have this trouble and likely never will. Except maybe with my own name, because my damn parents decided it would be wise to choose a name that works internationally as well... but, for once I'm glad it's also a boring one.

    10. I think there are a couple of Ambers (my first name) and Michelles (my middle name). I've always wanted an Island Doll Amber!

    11. Quite a few! I can’t even remember all of the Lina sculpts I’ve come across. My favourite that shares my name is Supia Lina though, she’s been on my wishlist for a long while.

(It is spelled Lina irl, not like my DoA username)

There’s also a doll company called LINA chouchou — not a sculpt but I think a whole doll company counts here too lol.

    12. i have a generic fancy French name so i share a name with a lot of dolls, but yeah volks does have a Claude sculpt

    13. I have a very common name, and one that's considered "classic/traditional/old-fashioned English" to boot, so at least three companies have used it that I can find. Only one of them appeals to me, and not enough to buy her.
