Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Sculpts You Get For Your Twins

Oct 29, 2011

    1. Once I paint Maxxie, I'll have something like twins, with one more planned for a triplet. I've got a Musedoll Re-An, and a Tan Musedoll Re-che (they look quite similar- the tan Re-che is different to the NS one though.) and I want to get the current version of Re-Che in normal skin. For my other set of twins, I want a tan Pado Boy to go with my tan Pado girl. I personally like identical twins to be the same sculpt, and fraternal twins or siblings to be a different sculpt by the same company. In a few very rare cases, there's enough resemblance to have a sculpt from a different company- but it's pretty rare for me.

    2. I used to have a set of identical twins - Migi Mihos - same skintone and everything. Same production batch even. ;)
Right now I'm waiting for a Soom Sard to come home and be my Dia boy's twin brother. They're supposed to be identical as well, but this time I'm happy they're not the exact same doll x 2.
My Dia is white, my Sard normal skin. They have different ears and then of course the other infamous super subtle Dia to Sard mods.

    3. My roommate and I are going to use DoC Homme Ivan and Krill for our twin boys. They are similar enough to be our twins, and different enough to exhibit the vastly different personalities between the brothers. <3

    4. It creeps me out we said almost the same thing... XD

    5. ^This is what happens when I don't scroll through a thread. I should have figured you'd post here. XD

    6. I have a Unoa Sist girl and boy as my twins. I modded a dozing Sist faceplate for one of them so they'd look different, but still have the same face shape.

    7. If I ever get my twins the will be DoD Sha and Shall. I fell in love with that pair the moment I saw them:)

    8. We've got a few twins here. I bought my Soom Light and Shadow Onyx girls because one of the twins was a ghost, so I replaced the living girl I already had so that she could have her identical sister. It took me a long time to get used to the new face.
My girlfriend and I share two other sets of twins. One is a pair of Volks SD10 boys who are non-identical because we couldn't agree to narrow it down to one sculpt, so she has the Michelle and I have the Kanata. We also have nearly identical LLT Roderich boys on Dollshe Pure bodies. We'd been on the lookout for a head we both liked for these guys and Roderich was the one. I modified hers to have slightly more open eyes so that we can tell them apart, since we plan to give them nearly identical face-ups too.

    9. My twins are the boy and girl version of the same sculpt. I just change the hair and eye colors a little so that they don't look completely alike. Someday I may try identical twins. :)

    10. The character concepts I'd be turning into doll form are from a work that I've been messing around with for years. The story involves a set of twins. I'm considering using the same sculpt for them, but I wonder if they'd be too similar. They're meant to be identical twins (and actually used to be one person, but that's a long story) but they have distinct personalities.

Does anyone else have dollie twins? How did you approach this? Or how would you approach this if you had identical twins?

    11. I have two sets of twins. One pair is Dollzone Wilkas - one is normal skin yellow and one is white skin. Other than that they have the same hair and same colour eyes. They look very close but not exactly identical.

The other pair of twins I have are Secretdoll Yomo - one is a dreaming head and the other is open eyed.

You can use the same sculpt but make them look different by the face up, eye colour or wig type. One could be slightly taller bu using a different body.

    12. Don't have any twins at the moment, but I do plan on getting a pair of miho twins sometime (hopefully not too far in the future, haha). They're going to have the same skin tone, probably the same body, but I plan on them having similar though slightly different faceups. They also have different tattoos, so I guess that helps. Hair will be similar but different length. Oh, and one has a lip ring.

Actually, I personally like twins to be slightly different. The twins I know in real life are never exactly the same anyway, and the different personalities show in how they look as well. I think if you want to have them almost the same sculpt and body wise, then change the faceup. Yup. BUT I've seen people with twins who are different sculpt and who still look quite similar. Raouken has a pair of twins, and one of them is a Chiwoo, the other is a Cecile. They still look like twins though, in my opinion.

    13. I have two sets of twins, as well as a guy who had MPD and his other personality split and now has a physical form of his own.

My first set are identical twins. Both are Ringdoll Rebecca's. One is white skin, the other normal skin. I gave them very similar faceups, but different wigs. They each have a distinct personality.

Second set are also identical..but in absolutely every way. I even have some trouble telling them apart sometimes. Their personalities are so similar, they are pretty much one person with two bodies. Both are Ringdoll Petter's. The only telling difference is their tattoos. They each have one on the back of their necks, but they are different.

Lastly, my boy who had his other personality split off. They are both Dollzone Yuu's, but have different faceups, wigs, eyes, and styles. Their names are the most confusing part. The original is Caspien, the other is Caspian. When talking about them, Caspian is called not!Caspien.

    14. Oh your little gingers are so cute =3=

I get what you're saying, yeah. One of them is a bit rougher and the other is a more gentle soul. I like the idea of the different skin colors, too.

Ooh, the height difference would be nice. That's an idea that hadn't occurred to me. Sounds like my research just got more complicated, lol -o-a

    15. Taffy and Jareth, Dollzone Recalls (2007 promo dolls)
They share wigs, clothes, and shoes which is great. Outside of Jareth's face up being darker they have two different shades of blue for their eyes. Recently I gave Taffy brown eyes http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u270/DollyKim/P1240544.jpg because he wanted to be less twinsie but he can always go back to blue if he wants.

    16. I have triplets, Dollshe Saints. Two have face ups, one will be redone, the other fixed lashes and cleaned up a little. The third will get his first face up. I also have a adopted brother who is a pale tan Saint already faced up. The 5th Saint who will be here in early Jan will be not related at all. What can I say I love the Saint face. I will edit this when all 5 are home & done.

    17. If I wanted identical twins I would use identical sculpts. The only physical differences would be in whatever quirks occured during creation. I'd show different personalities through dress and hairstyle. The twins I have had have been fraternal boy and girl sets. Peter and Tess are the same facial sculpt but with a different body and face ups. They had the same eye and hair color. With the FL Bisou pair, it was the boy and girl version of the same sculpt. The default faceups were a little different. Her hair was a little darker brown and his green eyes were a little grey.

    18. I have owned several sets of identical (moulds) twins. I really enjoy using an open eyed head and a dreaming/sleeping head for twins!

Please remember that pictures need to be posted into the Picture Request thread and not the discussion thread!

      Twins, twins. please :D

    19. I don't think I'd buy the same sculpt for twins, unless one was open eyed and one was sleeping.

I'd probably go with sculpts that have the same qualities like face shape, nose shape, eye shape, preferably from the same company.

I love when companies specifically make twins... I really want a DoD DoC Kirill and Ivan set. :aheartbea

    20. I don't have any characters that are twins, but I do have a set of (slightly altered/genetically modified) clones. They've been through several different doll incarnations, but have always used the same face sculpt in different skin tones.
