1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Set wardrobe

    1. Kind of? They don't have one specific outfit for each occasion/season, but they do each have their own tub of clothing that usually isn't shared with other dolls. A few universal pieces, like socks, basic tshirts, basic jeans might occasionally get shared, but they have a lot of clothes than only belong to them. I think of it like how you own your own clothes, but might let a friend or sibling borrow stuff sometimes.

    2. Yeah, a lot of mine do that - also between the BJDs and the (many, many) other dolls of the same size

    3. That is the goal for my dolls, but right now I'm slowly putting together their "main" everyday outfits. Thankfully, most of them shares similar measurements so new pieces go the distance until I have more clothing to pick from

    4. Getting there! He has casual winter wear, casual fall wear and a formal dress.
I'd like to get him more comfy clothes to lounge in aka cute clothes to cuddle him in! :)

    5. Yes, they do! I find it easier for me that way, though I can see how having different preset outfits could be boring for people who are much more stylish than I am. All my human dolls have at least one summer outfit, one winter outfit, and one elegant outfit. Two of them also have some sort of sleeping attire, thought no traditional pajamas.

    6. I love the idea of everyone having set outfits but realistically that is just never going to happen. I enjoy switching their clothes around too much. At first I used to say that one doll was stealing another's t-shirt, or whatever, but now the clothes (and wigs, even!) belong to everyone and anyone. Sometimes a piece of clothing suits a particular doll so well that it does belong to them in my head, or I bought it for them so it's theirs. But in reality other dolls will end up wearing it because I can't resist

    7. I'm in the "that's the plan" camp—realizing the wardrobe is the entire reason I got my bjd, in fact! You can read all about the in-progress 1950's capsule wardrobe in my project journal, or read about my future plans for spring and fall wardrobes on my website, so I won't go into more detail here.

Oddly enough, I haven't really thought about doing sleepwear, as other people in the thread have. I guess for me the fun of a well-planned wardrobe is the mixing and matching you can do between different pieces, whereas pajamas are just one "look"? I mean, one could make a whole set of nightwear separates, robes, etc. but that seems excessive to me, lol

    8. Mine went to a pyjama party as part of a weekend doll meet and I struggled to find enough nightwear for them all so started sewing more.... several years ago and they aren't finished yet.
