Sexy Nude doll photography

Nov 24, 2010

    1. Are you ok with taking sexy photos of your dolls?
      pretty much.

When does it become doll pron?
When I let sexual motive overtake my better practical or aesthetic judgment.

Is posing your doll over a chair, or taking a shot angled between her legs
more towards the doll porn end?

It depends what the reason is. I took some shots like that for a reference thread because nobody had yet, and those were some angles I'd wondered about before I bought her. To me it didn't feel pornographic at all, doing it that way.

What do you think of people who take photos of their dolls like this?
If they do it too much, it feels like they're playing out their sexual fantasy in public. It's a little weird, but I'm not gonna say they can't do it. But not everyone gives that impression. A lot of that kind of doll photography is amazing.

Do you think that makes them perverted? Or tasteless in sexy nude doll photography?
Not perverted. Well, maybe, but that depends on the contents of the photos. But most of the time they're not perverted, because it's normal to have a high sex drive. Tasteless.. really depends. Each case is different.

    2. Are you ok with taking sexy photos of your dolls?
Eh, not my current dolls... I don't guarantee I'll never go back on my word once I get some female dolls in the mix, though. It'd be fitting to his character to do humorous pinup with at least one of my boys, and even do yaoi, but I don't ship any of the dolls I own as couples. I'd joke about it but I wouldn't self-parody. I do not mind if any of my dolls are sexually interesting to people and if they would want to see this. I find them appealing on some level at least. Portrayal is more important than making a load of doll porn just to fool around and make doll porn and make people think that's what my characters are for.

When does it become doll porn?
When it depicts sexual acts, sexually suggestive expressions/gestures and so on, with intent to imply sexual activity. Dolls partially naked in sexy pictures could be considered porn... id say private parts would be where the line should be drawn. Depending, you could also say focusing the photo on aroused body parts being shown even under clothing is explicit enough to be called porn, and I'd consider it porn, personally. Not to say people don't get that in public and everyday life or anything, in which case, I don't consider that pornography, just people being people unless they're.... displaying that with intent to arouse. Lawsuits... mm...

Is posing your doll over a chair, or taking a shot angled between her legs
more towards the doll porn end?
Male or female, only if nude or partially nude to the extent of not simply being 'teasing' imagery but private parts on display and visible or obviously being touched / effected in some way sexually or with intent to appease a fetish. I'd say there's some leeway with things that aren't overtly sexual.

What do you think of people who take photos of their dolls like this?
Amusing. Depending on how well it's done maybe slightly irritated. If I like how it's done I like their choices/perspective... I sometimes end up wondering what else they do and end up looking for their other work. Sometimes it's purely out of curiosity for how separate they keep said porn from their other work and what they do with their online presence. People who take these photos do interest me to some extent and I guess I could go as far as to say I slightly respect them sometimes for having the nerve to display the images. I look at sexuality as just a part of most people and these shoots often (but not neccesarily) are actually a very intimate view into what that person finds personally very appealing. They've customized or chosen the dolls looks very specifically, so it's quite interesting to see what they've done and what they find appealing and choose to focus on in their shots.

Do you think that makes them perverted? Or tasteless in sexy nude doll photography?
Makes them perverted? You either are or aren't. Pardon how I put this, but anyone can get in the mood and want to take photos like this. It might be something they do alone, maybe once, or once in a while, and they might generally not even look at porn or anything otherwise. For others they might look at a ton and do a lot of crazy stuff all the time and think sexual things wherever they go. It barely says anything about whether they're perverted, just that they're willing to take those photographs and dwell on it long enough and enjoy the subject matter in some way. (or at least want to offer the subject matter to others online).

As for tastelessness.... No but SOMETIMES yes. Photogaphers can be tasteless within the category of sexy pictures, and they can also be tasteless by implementing sexuality in places it doesn't need to be / is stupid. That's an opinion though. Some people want a peek of a thong strap and think it's great. I find some people's sexy/nude/pornographic doll stuff tasteless. I see certain things and I think it's stupid looking. Or I think it's eye-roll inducing and trashy. Or juvenile. A lot of it has to do with my particular taste though and people do enjoy things I find 'tasteless'. I can't go more into detail without dissing specific aesthetic things that other people here might love a lot but bother me. Honestly a lot of it has to do with sculpts being chosen to do sexy art of, and stupid looking wigs. Stupid wigs are like the number 1 ..and ill-fittng, very obviously out of scale (I'm not that hard to impress, but some things are just BAD, and some buttons are just too big to claim 'fashion did it') cartoony/toy looking clothes (unless that's intentional for whatever reason...) shown being awkwardly being taken off with no care to realistic posing. Ugh. No. It's harder for sexuality to bother me quite as much as the treatment, execution and tone of the subject matter.

Sexuality is not 'tastelessness' in itself. Context is everything.

Also, I don't really agree with the sentiment that sexuality is only a good thing when it's 'beautiful', and 'clean'. Some people enjoy explicitness and nastiness... and actually those people fall in love, have beautiful things and enjoy beauty and CAN be very nice people. :P

    3. Are you ok with taking sexy photos of your dolls?
If for whatever reason I end up deciding I want to do so, no I wouldn't [have a problem with it]. At this time though I don't have any reason to do so.

When does it become doll pron?

There's a certain accessory in existence designed to be used with Libidolls, and that's all I'll say about that.

Is posing your doll over a chair, or taking a shot angled between her legs
more towards the doll porn end?

Depends. Atmosphere is important in photography. How well the photographer conveys their intent would probably determine if that person is going for that sort of mood or not.

What do you think of people who take photos of their dolls like this?

Kudos for doing what they want to regardless of public opinion.

Do you think that makes them perverted? Or tasteless in sexy nude doll photography?

The only person who would know for sure is the camera man/woman and anyone they tell it to.
I don't judge people based on their photography unless they're doing something illegal and need to be reported.

    4. It wouldn't really bother me, but I can't even imagine what doll porn would look like! O_o Personally, I wouldn't make any of that myself, even if it were just tastefully sexy nudity.

    5. Are you OK with taking sexy photos of your dolls? Yes, I often do with my MSD couple, just for fun or because I feel like it.

When does it become doll porn? That is kind of a complicated question because there is also artistic nudity. But I think it can't be really considered porn as the haven't the "tools" to really make something like that. I really can't imagine taking pictures of my dolls like doing oral sex or something like that, I don't think that is worthy to be photographed.

Is posing your doll over a chair, or taking a shot angled between her legs more towards the doll porn end? I don't think so but it depends. As I stated before, it can be artistic depending on the intention of the photographer.

What do you think of people who take photos of their dolls like this? They aren't doing anything wrong. If they want to take pictures like that, they can do it. But if they are thinking of uploading them in forums or something like that, they should warn it, of course, because I wouldn't really like to see them unless they are very professional taken.

Do you think that makes them perverted? Or tasteless in sexy nude doll photography? Everyone are who they are, maybe they can see some beauty on it that I just can't see. I yet haven't seen a single photo of that topic that I can say I like, mostly because the ones I saw were too explicit and loveless and bad quality photographs and it gave me this bad feeling about it.
