Shoes - how many pairs do your dolls have?

1. How many dolls do you have and how many shoes do they have? (Please separate different size dolls/dolls who don't share shoes.)

Four dolls, all MSD. Tanso has one pair, Take has one pair he shares occasionally with Liina but Liina usually goes barefoot. Tremis has three pair of shoes.

2. How important are your doll's shoes compared to their clothing?

Eh. not very, I just like them all to have at least one pair of shoes. Liina doesn't really NEED them, but sometimes he wears them.

Do you have as many shoes as you do outfits, or does one pair work for several outfits?

One pair works for multiple outfits, well, except for Tremis, he has more pairs than anyone else. No one else would have anything to match his sneakers anyhow.

3. How often do you change your doll's shoes?

Not often. Only when I change their clothes and HAVE to take the shoes off, or for Tremis.

4. Ideally, how many pairs of shoes do you think a doll should have?

At least one, if not two.

One, he still has the same pair of cute little mary janes.

All my dolls have shoes. Due to fact I have multiples of same body or at least size I can have them share shoes. I have 2 SD boys they now have 6 pairs of shoes & boots, 4 girls who are SD but different heights but can wear same shoes they have at last count 10 pairs of shoes & boots. soon 2 considered MSD but at high end they have held for them about 5 pairs of shoes & boots. Last the tinies. We have 2 BIDs from IP they have since they can wear the shoes from my LTF collection that is all gone, 8 pairs and my smallest are 2 pukifees and they have 12 pairs of shoes. What can I say I love shoes!

2. How important are your doll's shoes compared to their clothing? Do you have as many shoes as you do outfits, or does one pair work for several outfits?
I look for the basic colors to go with anything. Red, black, white. If I do go for a color I usually find an outfit that goes with them if not more.

3. How often do you change your doll's shoes?
If outfit is changed, the shoes get changed. So at least 2 times a month.

As long as I can find a pair to work with any clothes I have or add, I think we are done adding. But I love shoes, esp boots as in my own life I am limited to what I can wear so I spoil my kids.

5. How many pairs of shoes did your first doll have? Kenji my first had 4 pairs of shoes. 2 sneakers, and 2 pairs of boots. But he was only here maybe 8 months. My oldest boy, Shigure only shares shoes due to he & his best friend, Kyo are the same body from same company and they are now only boys in whole group. And yes they both have girlfriends.

 

I have three pairs for the one doll I have. He has these killer gothic boots to go with his 'rock star' outfit; he came with a freebie pair of tennis shoes that he'll never wear; and I bought him some black loafers because he needed something a little dressier to go with his dress and he can't wear heels. But I would love to give him dozens of pairs of high heeled shoes; I just need to find out whether or not he can swap feet with a female doll before I do that.

 

I am almost ashamed to say that each of my dolls have at least three pairs of shoes. Their shoes look better than mine lol

I have three dolls, one who has one pair of his own shoes, and the other two share seven pairs.

I think shoes are just as important as clothing. I've had many shoes that were a little "off" looking (key chains) and they can ruin a doll's overall look DX However, I do not have separate shoes for each outfit, lol. Definitely more clothes than shoes.

Maybe every 2 outfits? Lol, what an interesting measure of time.

As many as you'd like them to. A few good quality pair are better than a lot of not quite right pairs though. Dollmore has great Converse and Vans for cheap if you're looking!

1. How many dolls do you have and how many shoes do they have? I only have two MSDs and a tiny. My MSDs share shoes that barely fit them. I really need to get better shoes. My tiny one wears kelly shoes. I think she has like 2-3 pairs, compared to her numerous outfits.

All of mine share shoes for the most part since 6/8 are DDs and the other two are close in size.
Not sure how many exactly, but I'd guess around 3 dozen. Short answer is: A LOT more than me.

I like to make them somewhat match. Doesn't have to be perfect, but not clashing is the minimum. I reuse multiple pairs for different outfits.

About as often as I change the outfits which varies wildly.

A pair to match each outfit that they will regularly wear.

Zoe started off with no shoes, but ordered a couple of pair from Dollmore quickly. Saber followed shortly afterwards, so anything after that were shared goods.

 

My girl Blair has two pairs of shoes right now, and another one coming in from Dollmore. I'm kind of proud to say that so far, all her shoes match all her clothes since the shoes are in neutral colors (black, white and brown).

Wow, do I ever feel guilty! My boys have one pair of each, which would be one pair of SD sized shoes and one pair of MSD sized shoes. OWAIT, and I have one pair of Yo shoes that I have yet to get a doll to wear them... haha.

Fairly important I guess. Each doll isn't like super attached to the shoes, there's some weeks that they wear them nonstop(i take them off throughout of course and check for staining ahha) and some weeks where they go barefoot.

Meh, my dolls only have about two outfits each so far, but the shoes work for either.

Never really, unless they go shoe-less. Or for cleaning.

Well I'd say 3 or so. One pair of tennis shoes/sneakers/etc., one pair of boots(if needed for your climate) and 1 pair of nicer, dressier shoes.

So far, 1. XD I got my boys within 2 months from each other so there wasn't much time to build up a wardrobe haha.

So far I only collect male dolls... but I really want to own a girl doll someday! Though I'm trying to convince myself it's a bad idea since I'd probably buy her like a million shoes, I can't resist...they're so cute D:

1 SD = 7 pair ... though 2 pairs he does not wear regularly cause they are a bit too big so I am saving for another future boy
2 YoSD = They share shoes and have about 7 pair... need more *cough*
2 MSD = I am selling one of my dolls but ...keeping all the shoes for my other boy = = that is like..10 pairs?
I find that SDs and MSD sized dolls have the coolest shoe designs. I have trouble finding nice tiny sized shoes that fit well

Definitely outfits > shoes. I try to get shoes that work with a lot of different looks. But as with clothing I feel like I need to have different things that is suitable for each of the four seasons. My dolls dress like age-appropriate people... so I can't say for owners that collect dolls with fantasy parts or dolls that are based on characters from another time period. XD

Sometimes they don't wear shoes... but I change them with their outfit, which is something like once a week? Or whenever I get tired of staring at them in that particular look.

I remember I bought 2 pair of shoes with my first doll... then ended up selling them because he didn't wear them often = =

I don't have different shows for every outfit. It's more like "does this go with sneakers or leather?" ._. Or faux leather, whatever their formal shoes are made out of.

Not very often.

I dunno. I've been managing with 2 pairs for everyone, but Epifan will have more if I ever buy her high-heeled feet. As a person who only owns two pairs of shoes (a pair of sneakers and a back-up pair of sneakers...I obviously haven't gone anywhere fancy in a while...), shoes apparently don't jump into my mind very often. @_@

I have one pair of shoes for my 80cm doll, five pairs of shoes for my large girls and one pair for my large boy, two pairs of mini shoes with two minis (and one on the way), and one pair of shoes for my 3 tinies with yo-sized feet to fight over. My last tiny has smaller feet and no shoes.

My dolls all have more clothing than shoes. The exception is the incoming male mini who doesn't have a stitch of clothing but has a passable pair of boots. It takes me a really long time to finally settle on a pair of shoes for a doll, so I don't buy than many.

I do when I change their outfits, if I have different shoes for them to wear. In the house, only a few of them wear shoes all the time.

I'd like to have one good pair of basic boots for each of my dolls, but I also like for the girls to have a pair of mary janes or the like as well.

She had one pair. I don't have the doll, but I still have the shoes.

 

The smallest has... three pairs I think? Possibly four? I'm ashamed to say my other two dolls don't own any pairs of shoes. I'm a bad dolly owner.

****I have one MSD, and she has four pairs of shoes, and more shoes on the way! She has one pair of big black lace up knee boots, one pair of fake uggs, one pair of sandals, one pair of nice mary janes. I want to get her converses, flat boat shoes, ballet shoes, cute fuzzy slippers, and some doc marten-type white boots that are shorter.

****One pair definitely works with several outfits, but sometimes one shoe is only for one outfit. I like clothing better, but you just gotta have shoes!

**** I change them when I change the outfit, or when I go outside and have her stand on the grass, where I don't want her wearing white shoes that could get stained.

****As many as it takes to complete all her outfits. Shoes are not optional to me.

-I think the shoes add to the outfit but unfortunately they cost money...

-If I had shoes, they would probably be changed every other day....

-At least 3 pairs of shoes. 1 pair of boots, 1 pair of sandals, and 1 pair of flats.

 

Not enough! Just like me. How can you ever have enough shoes? Right now they all have to participate in the open closet policy. They share.

I have two dolls - an AOD and an IH, both SD sized. So luckily they can share shoes! I have 6 pairs between them.

I care that they look good with an outfit - IE, if I can help it, I don't let them clash, I don't put "casual" shoes with a fancy outfit, etc.

However, I will pretty much always buy clothes over shoes.

Of course one pair of shoes will work with multiple outfits! That's how it works for me as a human but on the other hand, a special outfit does sometimes need that one perfect pair of shoes.

About as often as I change their outfits - which is whenever I play with them, honestly.

If I could, I would have some "staple" footwear for each doll: a pair of black flats, a pair of brown flats, sandals, a pair of black boots, and a pair of brown boots. I am also a believer in having a pair of good basic pumps, girl or doll

 

I have 25 full dolls. Nearly every one has a pair of shoes here. If they don't they either just came to live with me or are one of those odd ball characters that doesn't like to wear shoes or in the case of my ResinSoul puppy can't wear shoes.

I like to buy shoes that can be worn with different outfits. A nice pair of black boots can work with lots of different outfits.

Shoes get changed once in awhile but if they are a doll that spends time on my bed, shoes get removed before they sit.

I don't really know how many pairs is ideal. I mean if I could afford it they would have as many pairs as I own.

I have three full dolls. One always wears her fantasy feet, the other has four hooves. No shoes for them xD. The last one has one pair of shoes.

I would say they're equally important. I try my best to buy clothes and shoes that would compliment each other and in the process I have several outfits that would work with the one pair of shoes I have for him.
