1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

should i keep the doll box or thrown them away?

Oct 20, 2014

    1. I think it's better to keep it just in case you want to sell it later on.
You can always store them at the back of your closet. <:

    2. I keep all of the boxes of my dolls and figures ^^' I stored them on my closet, it's full of boxes lol!

    3. I keep mine, I mainly use them for storing dolly clothes now. :3

    4. I am trying to keep all the boxes.
But I still have 3 dolls are coming.... I think I need to tidy my room in order to find room for those boxes........... orz

    5. Thats what i keep in mind cause love the boxes it came with and not only that is hard cover and protects the doll too which i like a lot is all i can say and is worth it to be honest. You know glad you mention that cause you never know and i agree now makes me feel like i have to jeep i always had that worry moment u never know.

But what happen if the buyer want to keep it has there name on it or is it too personal too.

    6. I keep some of them because some of my dolls were from secondhand market/split, etc...They didn't come with their original box and some just too old and in bad shape to keep.

    7. Seeing as I only have one doll, I kept her box. It's because I don't have a set space for her to stay in, and I think that she'd be safer for now if I kept her in her box instead of just out in the open. Although, I guess that if I accumulated more, I'd probably end up doing away with some boxes, but, that's probably only when I really don't have any space for them anymore. x'D

    8. I've kept only two boxes. One of it is a tiny size and another is an MSD size. I keep dolls' clothes in it.
I don't have much place at home, that's why it's hard to keep all of my boxes.

    9. Seeing how I only have 2 bjds, I can't help much, but I do see it as a good idea to keep them. Even if you're not planning to sell them, if you're planning on moving, you don't have to have a doll case for each one of your dolls, you can just put them in the box and they'll be protected from normal transportation, as opposed to overseas shipping, or dealing with the mail. Haha!

    10. Not only for bjd, I usually keep the box from everything I buy cause its my another hobby.... nope, it's just joke. I keep boxes. for dolls, It can be safe storage to avoid air and light. also, we can use another way to make useful things; pen case, book shelf.. anything :D!

    11. I have kept mine so far and I will try to keep them if I move or have to put away my dolls. They are great to protect my dolls.

    12. I've kept Elli's box... but I'm also in the process of turning into a bed for her. Which I'll probably do for all of my future dolls as well.

    13. I personally like keeping doll boxes, because they stack so much easier than just the pillows if I ever need to store them

    14. i wanted to keep but still lost my 2 boxes when moving to other house

    15. Same problem. I live in a tiny one room apartment and have a tower of doll boxes that I really need to get rid of, but feel I should keep "just in case".

(I'll edit this later with a pic cause I think that would be relevant)

    16. I keep them. I plan to move in about a year, so the original boxes with some extra padding will be the best way to transport my dolls. Plus, I feel that when you present your doll in its official box, people who don't know the hobby get the message right away that this is something special and expensive, so approach with caution.

    17. I think keeping them is a really good idea, especially if you are planning to sell any of your dolls somewhere down the line. And if you ever need to move, the boxes will come in handy :)

    18. I keep all my boxes. When there's no room left in one of my closets I'll start hiding them under the beds. I find keeping them is a good idea, cos you never know if you'll end up selling them and they're are really cute(well, my Volks' boxes).

    19. Keep them. I do for sentimental and possible resale issues. Also I store all their clothes and accessories in them.

    20. For now I am storing my dolls in their boxes just to keep my apartment neat and tidy but I like to keep them for sentimental and possible resale reasons as well.
