1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

should i keep the doll box or thrown them away?

Oct 20, 2014

    1. I've kept mine. Company boxes are usually very pretty, and mine has been a nice place to store my doll when I'm away. Keeps him out of direct sunlight even more than the place under my desk already does. :3

    2. I keep mine. They'll come in handy if I ever move. Plus they are really nice boxes.

    3. I'd keep mine, if i were you.
You never Know when a buyer may want the box as well as the doll.

    4. I keep mine and put them on the top of my armoire. I keep all things of my dolls.

    5. I've kept my doll boxes under my bed. Took a lot of cleaning to find the space to do so, let me tell ya :| Still though, they're lovely boxes, and since I'm hoping to move in the next couple years (fingers crossed!) I'm sure they'll come in handy. It's up to personal preference whether you want to keep them or not, in the end, but I'd recommend it.

    6. I keep mine because that's their "bed" when I don't play with them...and the doll box is very useful IF you're planning to sell the doll or you are planning to move... it's made FOR the dolls, so they can definitely prevent damage to the dolls ^_^

    7. I always keep my boxes in case of moving. It's nice to have a safe place to pack them. I absolutely hate packing my dolls though. It's so depressing, but opening them up again is fun, haha..

    8. I keep all of mine. In fact, I still want some for some of my dolls without one. I have most on the top shelf in my closet, and the rest in a spare room. The shipper boxes sometimes get tossed, but not the box the doll was in!

    9. So far I've kept most of mine, but I'll be honest, they can be a real pain in the rear-end. I admit, it is really nice to have a place to store then where I know they'll fit and won't get damaged, but seeing as it's been a few years and I've yet to actually use them for such a purpose, I don't know how worth it they actually are to keep. Once I move again I may keep the nicer ones (like my DIM box is made of a very nice, sturdy material) and use them to store their clothes and wigs and such, but after awhile they just get a bit unwieldy and I just plain and simple don't have the space for them.

    10. I keep mine, just in case I want to sell or trade the doll one.

    11. I used to keep all of my boxes, but living in an apartment with limited space has really forced me to only keep boxes that feel genuinely special.

    12. Keep the boxes in a closet. Way up high stacked out of the way. Keep the certificates in a file. Or safety box. You never know.

    13. I move pretty frequently, so I keep the doll boxes for storage and moving.

    14. I'll hoard the boxes lol! Gonna build myself a fort XDDD

    15. I always keep the boxes. I do that with pretty much everything I collect :). It's convenient when you sell them or when moving and I love boxes. Some have really nice designs too. For me the box is part of the item and with some items (like anime figures) not having a box means you can't sell it for the amount that it's worth.

    16. I've kept the box, but now it sits in one side of the room and I'm scared it'll gather lots of creepy crawlies to live underneath. Mental note: need to move it later.

    17. I keep mine for a long time, but eventually let them go.

    18. I used to keep mine but recently got rid of them when I moved into a retro airstream trailer and space became a prized resource. Makes it weird that I want to try and get back into SD'S...

    19. I usually keep everything that came with the doll, I think it's nice to have the original box, shipper, etc.; of course they take up a bit of space but I just can't bring myself to throw them away :)

    20. I try to keep boxes. I don't like throwing away boxes cause you can use them to store things. Plus some are just pretty like my Minifee box.
