1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

should i keep the doll box or thrown them away?

Oct 20, 2014

    1. I dont have very much room but I try to keep my boxes because I really like them and you never know when you may need a box for your dolls.

    2. Update: I'm glad I kept the box of my most recent doll, because we just didn't connect and I'm letting him go.

    3. We recently had to move and move fast into a much smaller apartment. I had all the boxes in a shelf, and was able to pack my dolls up safely and fast, and was happy about it. So yeah, good question. I have tossed out a moldy smelling company box and made a new one for my doll by down sizing a larger box and covering and lining it. I think just making sure that the certificate (which I didn't get with a lot of my dolls bought through Mint on Card years ago O_o) is safe these days is the best way to go. I tape the certificate in a ziplock in the box. I think, keep the 'pretty' boxes and toss the plain ones? I love my Dragon Doll Gold boxes, and sometimes you can get more than one doll in a box for storage or moving. I think it comes down to storage room. And if you sell a doll, doesn't it cost less to ship a smaller size package with the doll dismantled?

    4. I've moved 6 times in the last 5 years, so I'm very glad I chose to keep the original boxes

    5. I'm so happy I've kept my boxes. My little daughter ,not so little any more, (2 years and 3 months old) started to take interest in my dolls and these boxes are an ideal place to hide them,at least for now.Give my little explorer couple months and she will figure it out,but by then I'll have a new hiding place for my dolls ready :dance so you never know when it might come handy

    6. I keep the nice inner company box and store the cert and parts of the doll I'm not using. But not the shipping box as all of mine were really beat up and couldn't be used again.

    7. I keep my dolls in boxes, they are lying there like vampires in coffins :D

    8. I keep mine just in case I ever need them. But I dont like how they take up so much space.
