Sibling Dolls

I already have one pair of sibling dolls (named Lucian and Clara) and have plans for twin boys in the future . The pair I have now are siblings in one of my stories; the twins for the future plans are the same but from an older story.
As far as looking for similar sculpts, I really didn't care with Lucian (HZ Boss) and Clara (Luts Salgoo). I kind of just found Luts Salgoo and new she was perfect. They look nothing alike (kind of purposefully) lol, but Clara is just a child after all so one can't really compare her to her brother in features. As for my future twins...well, they will be the same sculpt (Iplehouse Owen) since they are identical. Same process for finding them, I just stumbled upon the sculpt and knew that he was perfect.

 

Five of my doll are sibling and three from five are triplets, all of my triplets are DWC#01. First time, triplets is not my goal but i just want to balance my doll character so it turn them to the triplets.

 

My two are brothers!

I think I got into the dolly world back in 2011, or 2012, and found the Ringdoll Valo not long after doing my first bit of research/looking around. He almost immediately had a story planned out as soon as I saw him. Not too long after I found him, I saw the Ringdoll Pan, and he was such a perfect fit to become a brother to my Valo.

I was so lucky to get Pan from a friend as a Christmas present shortly after they announced he was being discontinued. Now they're together, and I couldn't be any happier!

 

I've got a couple of biological sibling sets around here (and a couple of non-biological sibling sets, who won't be counted here ).

For the ones I got first, Cete and Instar, I wanted to be sure the sculpts were very similar. They are non-identical twins, so I ordered both at the same time (so one wouldn't be here without the other), and both from the same company, to be sure they'd share a similar look thanks to sharing a sculptor.

With the two in my LittleFee set, of course, "from the same company" wouldn't really distinguish them over any of the others there, so instead I spent a good amount of time comparing isolated photos of different faceplates, until I found what felt like a "good match" to be a "sweeter little brother" to the plate I'd already chosen for the older brother, and I'm quite happy with how they look together.

For my MSD versions of Ed and Al, I was able to go back to the "from the same company" trick again; and actually, since company of origin is part of the meta in that collection, by my own rules I was required to have them share a company, at least in head sculpt. I had Ed's head picked out right away, and spent a lot of time browsing around for one that matched Al, until I happened to come into possession of an event head that turned out to be a perfect younger sibling, and that was that. They looked right together, so I got a body for that head, and that was that.

With biological siblings, at least some resemblance needs to be there; it's pretty rare for two people who share both parents to look extremely different from one another, after all. For adopted siblings, though, anything goes, and definitely has done so with the sets of those I have!

 

I don't know if mine count as I don't have them home yet but they are my next resin order. I have a pair of fraternal twins in my story the dolls for it kind of just jumped out at me for them and I find them perfect matches for what I'm looking for. Colleen and Collen are both from Dream of Doll who's dolls in my opinion seem relative to each other. So their similarities make them perfect for my idea :3

 

Yup, I plan on getting several sibling dolls. The issue is having not seen said dolls in person, so obviously, the most I can do is go by company photos, user photos, and so on. With that, the dolls look similar in theory. I'm pretty sure a MNF El is quite a close match to me AoD Wang Zi. And then a DoC Twin-B looks related to a DIM Ace. I've several other 'candidates' just in case, but that's where it is right now.

 

I have some siblings! My Dollfie Dream Akira & DDH 02 are sisters, and I have a DDH 07 that is their cousin. My Volks Rose & SD13 Nono are sisters, and I'm adding a SD10 Nono that may be related- I haven't really planned her character out all the way yet. Then there are the Poe sisters, my three sleeping MSD girls.

 

I have one set of siblings, my Unoa and Bisou Ai. They weren't originally siblings, the Bisou was just meant to be a little pocket doll, while my Unoa is part of a story, but the more I thought about it, it just made sense for them to be related - even before I actually got my Unoa. They actually look pretty similar too, which was kind of surprising when I first noticed.

 

I once found the Limwhua site, and instantly fell in love with the Dodo sculpt, and my sister from another mister (shirelae on this forum) really like one of the other two sculpts of the series, but in the end she bought the Dodo. Since I was still in love with the sculpt as well, and finally decided to order her as well, the plan hatched that they were twins. I'm not really into all the story lines behind the dolls, but Shirelae is, so she decided the girls (both called CC - hers Chung Cha, and mine Cecilia Christine) were left in an orphanage in Korea, since they were born in Korea from a Korean father and Western mother. They we're both adopted by different people, because the orphanage they were placed in burned down, so they were placed in different orphanages, and the records of the girls were destroyed. In the end they found each other, and met. They still live with their own adoptive 'parents' but love visiting each other, and having sleepovers.

And when I started the hobby I bought 2 dolls at once, Isamu (FL MNF Shiwoo) and Usagi (FL LTF El Gentle Rabbit LE), so they see each other as brothers.

 

My best friend and I have twin sisters. She recently got a Fairyland LTF Shue Alice and decided to give me the sleeping faceplate. I opened her eyes, gave her a name, and now they're twins ^^ it just sort of happened!

I have two sets of siblings - Paisley and Aura (PKFs Mio and Luna) and Gail and Devon (tan PKFS Vanilla and Ante.) I'm thinking that eventually my PKF Shiwoo Scaramouche will have a brother (fraternal twin?) named Galileo.

 

I don't have both of them yet, but I do have a pair of twins in mind. I have a lishe on layaway, and was just browsing different bjd website when I came across a doll that could be her twin, just with subtle differences. I believe she's a Doll Love alice.

 

I have plans for a few sibling, but I don't have them yet. Two of my dolls turned out to be "factory sisters" when I noticed they had similarities coming from the same company. Their characters aren't related, but they've sort of adopted each other.

 

My Peak's Woods wake up Dlight and open eyed Dlight are sisters. *^^*
I think it's fun when your dolls are related. But these will be my only related dollies in my story so far

 

I don't have a ton of sibling characters, but my main ones are Rosica and Andrei - I wanted them to look quite similar, so I got them both from the same company. (Doll Love 'Beata' and 'Grapefruit'). I do have plans for one set of twins and one set of triplets, and each set will consist of dolls from the same company since I feel like it's one of the best ways to get that same aesthetic.

 

I have a few planned.

Mattie has an older sister, Alala. I plan to get a MNF Miyu for Alala. They'll be Chulyen's children.

Pepper has a younger sister, Cassia, and maybe a younger brother. Haven't decided for sure on that. Pepper and her sibling(s) are Roane's sister's children. He gets custody of them when his sister unexpectedly dies.

Kaz has a half-sister, Miya. They have the same father, but different mothers. Still trying to decide on her sculpt.

Leo claims to be Chulyen's brother, but Chulyen doesn't want to believe him. Leo is also stepbrother to Hannah.

I also am exploring the idea of whether Maura has a sister or not.

As you can probably tell, I like exploring family ties.

 

My Esther and Elena are sisters with a 10 year age gap. They have an older sister, Elsa, as well, but I don't have her yet ^^;;;

 

At least one of my dolls have a sister that got in to the story rather recently. The other one, I might have found a sister or cousin for - but I've never heard about this sister, so I'm waiting for it to "click". There is another child in the picture too, somehow, other than doll #2's pukipuki daughter, but I don't know who this other child might be either. Waiting... ^^

 

I've got a second Dollfie Dream Beatrice as a twin and the main reason was that I love her sculpt so much If I'd run into another one for a great price, I might even get a third one xD
I've sent both to the same face up artist requesting similar face ups, with the difference that they have moles on the opposite cheeks and different expressions. I'm still waiting for my second to come back home and I can't wait to take pictures with both of them~
