Signs of doll addiction

tehe i can relate to these so well. especially the first one.. i always bought clothes for myself before i got my doll but now its reversed. <__<

 

Yes yes yes I am hopelessly addicted! I'm always looking at things in shops from a how would that look with my dolls point of view. Also a truly alarming percentage of my bookmarks on my computer are doll related sites. What more can i say

 

hahaha. well im in my 2nd year in getting addicted in buying dolls, but as days gone by im getting more addicted to 1/3 dolls
Signs is :

1) You will always go back to that site that you saw the doll of your dreams.
2) You will always compute the price of the bjd that you want and always keep on looking for another doll that will top your doll of choice
3) You will always get excited to go home turn on the computer and search for the doll again
4) you will bookmark the site that yo saw your dream doll
5) you will search for other pictures and feedbacks of the doll that you like to make sure its perfect
6) you will get so caught up you cant think straight
7) you will want that doll more
8) you will end up buying that doll

 

I have once using my friend tip, that always told yourselves that you really want that doll, maybe i could be able one that really hit your heart!!, So i decided to try it on right aways..... 3 days past, I still find myself wanting more and more, i fell so heartbroken at that time lolz, So my friend again started to extend the times from 3 days into 1 weeks,,,,Still is not working...So i look back, why i can't do this and i found out...

1. I never stop looking at the site, where the doll is lolz /so addited
2. I also use that doll photo as my home screen in i-phone /that i believe i will get boring of him/her faces, but it end up i has a crash even more lolzzz
3. When i see that mold doll pic, with nice face-up i'm si happy and excited OTZ

This one really hitted my heart lolz

 

Goodness I haven't even purchased my first doll and I already know I'm addicted.
My amazon button has been used frequently to add a ton of new stuff in Minifee and Feeple sizes so I can see and access them quickly and my doll wishlist is already growing much larger than I wanted. . .
Ha, I don't even have a doll really picked out or on layaway and already have two wigs, two eyes, eye putty, new elastic, and a wig cap for it and am trying to budget around as much as I can for more dolls, eyes, wigs, and shoes.

My history is bursting at the seams with doll sites.
I don't have the dolls yet and they're forming personalities in my head.
And I'm talking to the 'ideas' that they're going to be?
I'm also prepared to spend more on the dolls than I have ever spent on myself. . . ever.

 

Aah the question of being addicted to a hobby is one I've frequently pondered. I knew I was addicted when I created a separate bookmark folder for doll things, realized only 5 of my saved searches on ebay weren't for doll things and have a notebook for doll things right alongside my uni books

 

I'm at step 7 right now...actually step 7.5

7.5) You will message/stalk people who are waiting for that doll you want to arrive so they can show and tell you everything when they get it

 

Whoa I havent gotten to all those yet but definitely dreaming about dolls.
Whats scary is I'm dreaming about me on the internet looking at dolls and doll clothes/props @__@

 

I know I'm doll addicted when on the streets I don't see people, but molds, wigs, outfits and dolls. The whole world is a doll world.

 

I've been dreaming about dolls too and mine isn't here yet... this is going to be interesting haha I keep looking up dolls and accessories a lot, my first isn't here and I'm planning my second and third... oh boy

 

I am new in Den of Angels too. I ordered my first doll last month and am still waiting patiently for the doll.

I must say I am so addicted that I find myself viewing the dolls pictures online almost everyday and although my doll will only arrive in April, I have already ordered 10 outfits. I had to remind myself to stop being so obsessed.

 

I am just in this hobby for the last 6 months, I think I am in deep addiction.

1. I keep all dolly pic I want and put as lock screen
2. Always buy and look for stuff for my dolly
3. Spend more on my dolly, even when I bought stuff for me and thinking this is expensive while for my girls Wow!! I should get this.
4. Looking for tutorial for making stuff for my girls
5. Always go to craft store
6. My ipad bookmark now full of dolls link.
7. I like from tiny one and getting increase in bigger size in short time.
8. Always talk to someone about doll even my mom, husband and cousin.

guilty as charge I am totally addicted to doll.

 

I'm not alone. I thought I was the only one who would stare at clothes and think "oh that would look so cute on her." I've had dreams about box openings. My youtube history is pure BJDs Prompts and box openings.

 

I am not addicted to owning dolls. I am addicted to taking photographs and sewing outfits. In the six years I have been photographing friends' dolls I have only bought one of my own BJD's. I am finally getting her put together to take photographs of her and the outfits I have made for her. Once she is finished I am sure I will be addicted to photographing her because she is just so lovely.

 

Crack may be cheaper in the short term, but you at least two buzzes from a doll-stuff purchase: the purchase itself, and when it arrives. That doesn't even go into the highs from getting an actual doll. ^_~

 

I realized i spent more on my dolls' clothes than for myself recently... I think i should take a break from buying for them... must... resist @_@

 

Here are some of mine:

1. You need a new phone, but you'd rather spend the money you have saved on that doll you've been wanting for FOREVER
2. You are on DoA at work right now...
3. Marketplace. Every. Single. Day.
4. Doll sites. Every. Single. Day.
5. You are always planning the next doll/faceup/whatever
6. If it's between vacation and dolls, you choose the dolls
7. Credit card debt that never seems to go down...

 

I her ya loud and clear and it has been steady for six months or so now.

 

I talk about my doll as if he was a real person to the point where my parents are starting to do it as well. The other day my mom was like, "why don't you and Cain watch some T.V. I know he hates it, but I really just need you two to calm down for 10 minutes."

I actually burst out laughing XD

2) Constantly looking for more pretty sculpts that I'd like to get
3) All spare money are dedicated to dolls
4) Always trying to find things my doll can use when I'm out shopping
5) Occasional dreams about dolls
6) Spending a lot of time perfecting my dolls' stories and characters
7) Uses free time to sew for my dolls
8) Always talking about dolls with my friends...I think some of them are getting annoyed :P
9) Shops online everyday, trying to find things for my dolls
10) I actually keep organized document of the dolls I want, and all their informations
