    1. Hi everyone! I'm not sure where is the proper category for this thread, but I'm curious if anyone has a list of sleeping face sculpts or if anyone can name some off the top of their head? Maybe we could create a new list together! I'm referring to sculpts with the top lid completely closed, or very nearly there, where you wouldn't have to install eyes at all (so not sculpts with half-closed lids like Little Monica Chloe, SWITCH Milhwa, ANother Secret Banse).

      I've seen many cute tiny/MSD sleeping sculpts from Fairyland, but I'm really interested in mature SD-sized heads like Iplehouse Sleeping Akando or Volks Lucas Sweet Dream. I also know that Alice in Labyrinth has a SD-sized Dreaming Alice sculpt, similar to their MSD/YoSD size Dreaming Aya head.
      I believe the largest sleeping sculpt is Spiritdoll's Dolce line Brume/Nenuphar which measures 11.4" head circumference.

      I would love to hear from other members what sleeping sculpts you have, or which ones you know about! :)

    2. aaaaah sleeping sculpts are some of my favourites tbh!!
      my roserindoll sevy dreaming was my grail doll and i'm super lucky to have him he's the absolute cutest!
      i have an april story dreaming edward too, and he's super beautiful! his eyes are a little bit open though and i was surprised when i got him, i think i'll probably need to get some eyes for him? but he's still definitely way more asleep than awake!

      on my wishlist are mostly msds, but island doll dove has such a precious face oh my gosh
      the msds are dollzone sleeping scarecrow hal, dika doll mian mian, doll family-A dan ning, and souldoll angela. :3
      every time i see a sleeping doll i find it really hard to resist putting it on my wishlist...!
      also, bluefairy did a run of sleeping heads for a lot of their tiny fairies (msds), although they're kind of hard to get ahold of now!

    3. Both DollShe David Kuncci and Grant Philippe have completely closed eyes on their sleeping heads. They have a few more too, but those are the only fully closed ones I can think of off the top of my head.

    4. Off the top of my head, I do recall Angell-Studio (SD-Limited Claudia V2 SP, Lucifer SP, Adam [White Version], Lilith [All models of her are sleeping... I think], MSD- Cygnus-SP and Mandarava [Limited]), Asleep Eidolon (SD- Drizzle, Mavis[I think, I can't recall if that's true]), Loongsoul (The centaur has a sleeping face, name is escaping my mind), and LUTS (SD- Matthew[?], Terra,MSD- Cherry SP) have some that are fully closed. I don't recall many 1/4 or smaller as I usually look at the bigger ones, but I will try and scratch my brain a while (or go look).
      Those are the only the brands I usually find myself looking at and kinda-of know their models, but hey. I would love to get the Claudia SP head (as soon as I get the Claudia V2 regular) but I missed her twice XD.

    6. I just googled Dreaming Edward and he's beautiful! I saw that April Story also released a Dreaming Ishyllia which I really like too. But I think she was an event head :( I wish she was available

      David Kuncci is a really great sculpt! I think Grant Phillipe was another one with closed eyes.

      Aw sorry you missed her! I hope she turns up on the market place for you. Thanks for mentioning Drizzle! I'm not too familiar with AE sculpts but I like her!

      Edria is gorgeous! Thanks for pointing her out! I might have to buy her....

    7. AE has so many pretty sculpts, it's just a long wait for them (if you plan to order from Mint on Card). I hope AS Claudia shows up too, I just need to work on getting my post count up and asking around :whee:

    8. Dikadoll's 68cm LiuZi and 70cm boys MuRong and Chi come to mind. They are very handsome boys, I think MuRong and Chi might have barely cracked eyes though and might require eyes.

    9. I'm fond of Sleeping sculpts, so I have a fair few of them in my crew...

      The 1/3-scale sleeping Cerberus Project sculpts that I have are:

      Sleeping Yder
      Sleeping Vampire Elf Yder
      Type 1 Sleeping Vampire Breakaway (Original CP/Delf release)
      Type 2 Sleeping Vampire Breakaway (Bloody Valentine CP/Delf release)
      Sleeping Harang
      Sleeping Dambi
      Sleeping Jess
      Sleeping Breakaway (Fairyland F70 Midnight Sun release)

      There was also a Sleeping Kum Ran, but I've never managed to get one of those. The Sleeping Chiwoo, likewise. I think there might have been a Sleeping version of Soony as well, but I don't remember for sure. I paid more attention to the female dreaming heads than the sleeping ones back-in-the-day.

    10. The sleeping sculpts are so pretty, but I don't know if they'd ever be for me. Unless I had the same type of model's head with the open eyes so that I could swap the heads for different looks. XD

    11. That's actually what that most companies do: the sleeping sculpt is almost always a sleeping version of a pre-existing sculpt, like previously mentioned Iplehouse Akando / Sleeping Akando, Alice in Labyrinth Alice / Dreaming Alice, etc.
      I'm not sure but I think Edria was backwards, where her sculpt (which is sleeping) was released first and the open eyes versions came later, but I could be totally wrong on that.
      Spiridoll's sleeping sculpt Brume/Nenuphar isn't technically a sleeping version of a pre-existing sculpt, but to me that face looks so similar to their Nymphaea or Camellia that I actually plan on eventually buying a Camellia head with body and occasionally switching a sleeping head on it. I think it would be fun!

    13. Every Fairyland doll has a sleep plate/head you can purchase, but you can only purchase it with the full doll. Little Monica has Innocent releases which are eyes totally closed, off the top of my head I know there is an Innocent Chloe, Innocent Sophia, and an Innocent boy? I wasn't aware of them for the boy's release so I don't know his sculpt but I got photos of him with my LM girls.

    14. Grant does indeed have a head with closed eyes - I have David and will soon have a Grant too and I just adore their sleeping faces. David looks somewhat troubled, like he's having a nightmare; and Grant has this adorable lopsided grin. :D

    15. In SD/SD13 size: Volks F-03 and SwD School A, plus LEs along the way such as SwD Lucas, SwD Nono, and SwD Syo. There's also a sleeping head in the new DearSD line (SD-scale heads on chubby MSD-height bodies).

    16. The Sweet Dream sculpts from Volks are all dreaming heads, though, rather than fully closed-eyed sleeping heads, aren't they?

      My own SWD Lucas is definitely a dreaming type, as are Jessen's SWD Syo and Mino's SWD School A. (As far as I know, none of the three have been modified-) I haven't handled a SWD Nono myself, so maybe she's different...

    17. That's interesting, so the "Innocent" sculpts are the ones with eyes fully closed while the "Gloomy" sculpts are the half-closed eye ones. Do you know what the difference between Innocent Chloe and Secret Chloe is? I can't tell the difference since they both look like completely closed eye Chloe sculpts to me.
      I completely forgot about the "Secret" sculpts, too! I remember Secret Roselyn has one eye closed and one eye a little open, which I think is a really nicely realistic touch! Like someone staring to wake up but just barely, and probably wanting to go back to sleep haha

      Thank you for the Volks information! It was bothering me that I thought I remembered seeing a sleeping Volks that wasn't Nono or Lucas but couldn't recall the name. It must have been Syo.
      I really like the Dear SD bodies. Aren't the heads also compatible with SD size bodies? So the sleeping Dear SD sculpt (which I think is Nono) could be used on a regular 1/3 size doll?

My F-03 has completely closed eyes, but you're absolutely right that the SwD Lucas has tiny little slits of eye openings -- I forget that because I can't see the openings unless I'm looking straight up his nose. My SwD School A had been modded to show a little more eye before I got him, but I'm sure you're right about that head and SwD Syo.

      Now I'm curious about SwD Nono!

    19. @ker246 Secret Chloe is a vampire head, she has teeth and pointed ears. And yup, Secret Roselyn has one closed eye, one open, but the closed one isn't fully closed, there is a tiny slit for inserting eyelashes and you could put an eye in there, which I'll probably do with mine so I don't lose one of the pair xD

    20. SooLee Doll (formerly called MS Doll) made both Drayton and Ella.

      Elfdoll also did some sleeping faces for some of their sculpts, but they call them "reminisce" versions. They did Emma, Soah, Ryung, Vivienne, Tasha, June, Aden, K, Mir, and Red. I might have missed some though.

      Neo-Angel Region also made some sleepy heads. 3.0 Colette's eyes are entirely closed, while 1.7 Anne's eyes are almost closed. Angel Region also had a doll called Angelica, which was made in collaboration? with Notdoll, but this was a decade ago and she rarely comes up second hand.

      Speaking of Notdoll Lab, I recall they made some dreaming versions of their heads and they made that one boy Andante Espressivo who had closed eyes. I never forget that name.
