1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Something neat about the Volks LA Limiteds

Nov 21, 2005

    1. Good detective work! It really is lovely to think that Volks did something so personal and special for the opening, it makes me all melty.

    2. Aimee,

      It's for stuff like this that I keep coming back to DoA. Thanks for sharing this. I was so impressed by the personal, thoughtful touches at both these events (like the president of the company running around with chairs and water bottles for the folks in line). What you describe seems to me very much in keeping with this spirit.

    3. Taisho Megu was what started it all for me, she was the first SD I had ever seen, back when I didn't even know what SDs were ^_^;;

      She was my first love, I was happy to be able to get my Megumi years later, Taisho Megu will always be my dream doll though.

    4. Thanks for sharing this information Aimee. It's nice to see how much you love these dolls and the amount of information you share. It's always great to get more and more information on these things and its obvious how much you love them.

      Thank you for sharing your joy.

    5. I thought they were similar. The only reason that I recognize the kimono is because I have this ancient Volks catalogue (La Carte D'un Ange). Ian is in it too!

    6. Ooh, very interesting! Thanks for posting, aimee, I love tidbits like this~

      The people at Volks are so sweet :3

    7. Ah! I thought the outfits looked familiar but I totally didn't realize that was why!
      Eeep, I almost feel bad that I want to sell Tae's outfit, but it's just not my style. (love the doll to pieces though!)

    8. This is interesting.^^

      It really goes to show you the old saying....can't see the forest for the trees is really true. I never made the connection at all. And as much time I've spent looking over all the pictures that Volks has, I can't believe I didn't see it.

      Thanks Aimee! ^^ I love this kind of stuff.
