1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom CutiePie 12cm Anthros Discussion Part 1

Feb 2, 2013

    1. @MaudMAryFlynn there are a lot of cute hard eyeglass cases on the market especially from Japan that would most likely fit your cutie pie. Soom only distributes cutie pies and cutie gems in the soft blue polka-dot hourglass shaped case, and they're shipped inside the white angel region cardboard box.

For upcoming cutie pie releases keep an eye on the Neo Angel Region portion of Soom's website, as far as I was told the line was transferred and we won't see as many cute pie/gem releases on 'The Gem' portion of the website.

In the last year my Yellow and Mint Teddys came home from Soom's post MD event. I haven't had a chance to paint them, but I am hoping to share them soon.

I am still hoping Soom makes blue & pink teddys, and blue and pink toads. I'd also love to see some new animals on the cutie pie body it's still my favourite body sculpt. I'm disappointed it's being neglected for the Petit Gem line but that may be because sculptors have moved on. Soom also has an issue with casting cutie pie heads that are not Toad, I have had to send back four separate cutie pies because the fit between the face plate and headback had significant gaps on the sides, which just doesn't work for a doll intended to be bald. (3 x Teddy and 1 Rabi). I think it's due to repeat use of the headback mold the face plates are no longer fitting accurately due to shrinkage. CocoRiang is aware of how severe this problem can be on a small scale and in order to prevent poor fits on their rabbit Tobis they will only sell the new faceplates included with brand new headbacks for owners who purchase multiple faces, I think it's a very good solution to a known issue on these smaller bald anthros. Although, what is Soom's excuse when all cutie pies are sold with a headback?

I wish my favourite dolls didn't feel so cursed. I will say Soom has always been amazing at fixing and replacing issues I have had with Cutie Pies (I've also had the neck hole on the headback chip out on my Kitty and a Teddy) and they have replaced all of my issues. It would be nice if their quality control wouldn't let dolls leave the building with these problems though :XD:
