    2. I completely agree! Pink and Blue raincoats! I also wish for different cutiepie gourd bags, but that is unlikely. The more I look at the romantic, the more I think I'd prefer the open eyed one. Decisions!

      Shipping notice on my Blank White Kitty. I did NOT expect her so soon! She will be getting blushed and come with me along with Toad and Teddy to Dollism to meet SOOM in person. :aheartbea

      How has everyone been fairing when it comes to giving names and personalities to your little anthros?

      I don't think of them quite the same as my larger dolls, they all have much simpiler personalities. I think of them as the chibi-exagerations you sometimes see at the end of Anime episodes.

      I am still vastly struggling with names for them as well and more often than not refer to them as Toad, Teddy and Kitty. I had thought about naming them based on sounds they could make or a name associated with the type of animal they are.

      Toad: Ribbit, Teddy: RAWR, ad Kitty: Mew~

      I like RAWR and Mew~ a lot, but I'm not yet sold on Ribbit. I have been toying with the name Buddha because of his little Buddha belly.

      What names and personalities have you given to your Soom anthros?

    4. Yay for your shipping notice, SaturnRose! I haven´t recieved one yet, but if they start shipping now, it won´t be long until everybody´s little ones will be on the way, I hope.

      I really like the names you came up with, RAWR sounds cool for a Teddy...and I think Ribbit is totally cute. (over here, frogs go "quaak" instead of "ribbit"...sounds a bit like frogs from different countries speak completely different "languages ^__^)

      My grey Kitty is going to be a little resin version of my British Shorthair, Paul, a very friendy, very relaxed and very hungry little fellow. I always wanted to have dollie impersonations of my felines, and when I saw Kitty I just knew he´d be perfect, round face, fat little belly and all <3.

    6. Oh my gosh Paul is just the sweetest name for a little kitty cat :aheartbea I can't wait for pictures when he arrives! I had such a difficult time choosing between the white or grey kitty. My own cat is a Russian Blue and I was sorely tempted by the grey resin. I went with white hoping I'd decide what color kitty I would blush her to be by the time she got here. :sweat

      (Thank you for the unrelated love of Pushing Daisies <3 <3 I miss this show.)

      I did get my Teddy back as of a few days ago, his head is in excellent shape I will post some new pictures soon with Toad. I am hoping to do a little blushing this weekend on Teddy and fix up my first face up attempt on my own Toad I went a little too dark on the mouth line the first time round. I'm glad SOOM has posted so many good pictures of the new toads I can use for painting inspiration. I find the new open eyed face ups really interesting they outlined the entire eye in white and gave a very dark blush from the middle to the back of the eye socket to add depth.


      In my own news I just committed to my fourth Soom Cute Antrho :D

      I went for the Blank Tea Green Toad, Romantic Face, and Blushing on the Crown. I added two rain jackets to the order as well :love

      I am going to cross my fingers that he might arrive in time for Christmas?

    7. I just ordered a Toad! I put him on layaway so it's going to be at least a 2 month wait for me, but I'm super excited. :D I got the light green with romantic eyes, and for the layaway minimum I also ordered both of the Frog Prince outfits and a pair of Soom eyes (for one of my larger girls who could use new eyes anyway). I can't wait to paint him when he gets here!

      ETA: Also, congrats SaturnRose and everyone else who bought one!

    11. I think they might bring the Toad for display purposes, but I think it is more likely they will bring the Bremen Line (Dog, Cat, and Bird) for sale since they have just begun shipping those sculpts.

      If they bring the Dog or Bird who I did not order I will be SOOMED.

      I needed to reglue an ear and the tail on my Soom Teddy, he has some sweet dark eyes too and looks SO cute! I haven't gotten around to blushing or painting the doll yet, but hopefully soon.

    14. Oh my gosh hello Paul! I now have instant regret that I did not get him in grey skin, but white is really sweet too :aheartbea

      I have painted all three of my current tinies, but I really rushed kitty and choco bear and they both need to be redone. I painted and blushed them both in about 4 hours before Dollism and I am still just learning to do faceups and blush :XD:

      I spoke with the SOOM rep A LOT regarding the tinies and shared some of the flaws with her. The resin on my kitty arrived really weak in the neck hole where the S hook sits and it's turned into a giant hole and the groove for the S-hook is completely gone. I'm not going to send her back because I don't want to go through the hassle of worrying about resin matching and when she'll return. Since it's an internal flaw I think I can fix it with some sort of epoxy or other sculpting material.

      I also discussed that I feel the holes on the ear parts need to be a little deeper I find it's hard to put enough glue in for them to hold solidly and then the magnets stick out of the holes and it's hard to keep the ear parts flush with the heads. I did comment that I was much happier with the fit between the headback and faceplate on the kitty.

      We also discussed idea for new animals and color palettes. I said I would personally love to see any of the animals in pastel resins <3 In terms of upcoming animals we talked about Bunnies (I am 90% sure they will be the next set of cutiepies). I also suggested foxes or corgis, and beavers <3

      Julia is a great director for the Gem/Idealian department and I said we really appreciate how readily they have listened to us recently (including adding the WS option to the Bremen line.) If we want something definitely let them know what you are interested in, she loves hearing our feedback. :D

Funnily enough, I have a Teddy as well who is currently in need of a face-up! I imagine my box opening will look very similar to yours :lol:

      Finally, my own Puppy and Kitty shipped! They should be here by the end of the week. I can't wait to see them both. It's been so long since I placed the order!

    19. Well, my Puppy and Kitty arrived. They are both very cute. But, there are issues with both. The provided magnet sticks out of Puppy's right ear. If I glue it in, the ear will not be sitting flush to the head and the magnet will be visible. Did anyone else had similar issue with their Puppy?

      Kitty's blushing has dirt and paint dribble on it. The paws are also nowhere near the same color as the promo shots. They are burgundy in color, while the promo was a soft pastel pink. The color itself I can live with, but the dirt is really unacceptable.

      Finally, it's disappointing that Soom didn't bother to glue in the head magnets. I've never received a doll without head magnets preinstalled from them before. Did all Bremen animals arrive like this?

    20. Yes, Teddy's magnets were glued in and I ordered him as a kit. This time I was a bit surprised and it was also frustrating to make sure they didn't attract to the middle larger head magnet when they were put in with the wet glue to dry. I decided to sit there holding the magnets in place watching some video on my laptop while it dried enough to not be an issue.

      Your Kitty blushing sounds gross. I also don't trust Soom with sanding either, the last time I paid for sanding it looked really sloppy. I also thought my Puppy would be a bit darker because of the promo photos, I haven't had a doll in Tawny before.

      Aaaaand I haven't glued Puppy's ears yet so quite possibly I have the same problem, it's a thin area too!
