1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom Idealian 75cm Discussion Part 10

Jun 10, 2021

    1. This may be a very silly question, and apologies if it’s listed somewhere. But is it safe to say Soom releases one Idealian boy per month?

I definitely want one, and am thinking of getting The Storm, but I’m thinking I should wait for a release I really love.

    2. @writtenlullabye At least one a month, usually 1.5 cause they will have another that will bleed over into the next month. If you have a past sculpt you like wait until Dec as its when they have their free choice on Idealians and you can pick from a variety of sculpts they have released.

    3. Love Soom bronze, apart from the inconsistencies for hybrid matching!. My bronze boy photographs effortlessly despite crap lighting.

    4. Ah, thank you!!! Awesome to hear Soom still does their Free Choice events!!!

    5. Does anyone know if iplehouse HID matches soom id75 head? I'm definitely thinking of pairing the two but not sure how the match looks.

    6. HID head’s neck circumstance should be 13cm, it’s the same with Id75 head. So don’t worry!

    7. On Iple's site, they list the HID neck at 14.5 cm! EID-M is 12.8-13.3 depending on the type, but they offer EID heads on the HID via doll-choice.

Here is a link to some pictures of an EID head on the HID body in an auction listing: ITEM VIEW : Auction - A_HID Leonard 002

The ID75, on Soom's measurement is 12.5 cm, so it'll definitely be a fair bit thicker. Iplehouse's necks typically are a little bulbous at the top, so you may need to sand down the top to make it fit, but I've never handled the HID-M body to verify that it's like their EID-M and Female bodies.

    8. Good luck to everyone participating in the Violet Dobekki Garion raffle! I hope one of us gets him I would love to see owner photos. I almost didn't apply but it will def my xmas gift to myself (if I don't win, its rebuilding PC money lol).

    9. Hey guys! Has someone of you bjd carrier bag from Idelian, this one:
      Carrying Case - IDEALIAN
could you share your use experience, please? And the main question: does it stain on doll? (I am afraid of this because it is full black inside).

    10. Lutego, I have it.
I like that carrier bag, but I cant to say anything about if it can leave stain on the doll, cos usually I using Soom's mattress inside.

    11. I have that case, @Lutego! I actually just moved and used the case for a doll without a box. He's been in the bag for a week but I just checked and there are no marks or stains on him at all. :thumbup

    12. I might be wrong so anyone feel free to correct if anyone knows more about fabrics than me lol, but from my experience the kind of black fabric they use to line the inside of carrying cases is synthetic so it is pretty colorfast and wont rub off. I don't have a Soom case but I have a dollmore one that looks like it has the same black inner fabric and I kept a doll it in for years and it never rubbed off.

If you want to be extra cautious, giving the doll body a coat of MSC will prevent any staining.

    13. I haven't bought a Soom doll in ages....Do they still put the pillows with the zip around the dolls?

    14. They still do, but the zip bag wasn’t as soft as usual

    15. @C’Yaoo - Oh thanks! I loved those 'pillows' and used them in my carrier bags. So much more useful than foam. :)

    16. Yeah me too! So I bought a couple of these bags!

    17. I forgot you can buy them separately! I may have to get another...:sneaky

Edited to add: For some reason Soom won't add one to my cart. (Sigh)

    18. If anyone got the cream basic Narmer, he's being recalled.

    19. Ooooh thanks for the detailed reply. I definitely wasn't thinking about neck circumference matches when I posted the question (thinking more along shoulder width matches). It's definitely a more important consideration.
