1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Soom Idealian 75cm Discussion Part 10

Jun 10, 2021

    1. This makes total sense and is likely what happened tbh. Soom puts pigment in resin the same way I put spices in my food while cooking xD Chaotic pour and a "yep that seems fine"

    2. Decided to take all my ID75s out to have a look at them. Missing my most important doll rn sigh (R.Shoshon) so not a full collection, and a few on order (BT Garion, Bronze Phonolus) and one out for faceup (OE Phonolus), but it's the closest it'll be for a while.

      Light Violet V.Hyperon - Grey Hwain - Grey VHyperon - Grey S.Ender
Cream White Garion - Cream White Phonolus - Normal R.Phonolus - Tawny Kahn
      Bronze D.Amor *2, Bronze Amor *2
Bronze Zak - Bronze Tei - Bronze River - Bronze S.River

    4. Not sure if posting this question here is the right thing to do, but has anyone had issues with faceplates fitting well into the back skull? I noticed that on the right side of my boy, the faceplate gap is quite jarring compared to the left side, which is rather seamless. (If this helps, my Soom Sullivan sculpt is from circa the end of 2019/early 2020.) I've actually already sanded down the brain as I noticed some wider grooves were poking out beyond the brain ledge and nearly touching the inner part of the skull.

I've checked, and the magnets are in properly and not glued backward (as in not repelling). I also noticed when the faceplate and base skull are removed from the body, they sit perfectly well together and close fairly seamlessly. I'm worried the faceplate will pop off more easily when posing at full height or when we travel out for photos.

If this is normal, I'd appreciate the validation! If not, what are some other ways you have fixed this oddity or prevented the faceplate from potentially popping off?

    5. I thought I read somewhere in here, that some of them seemed to have the problem of the face plates not quite matching up. I don't know what years tho.

@Setsura, Wow. That is an impressive collection. Loved seeing your Garion and Hyperons.

Since I'm posting in this thread, I would like to share My Dokkebi Garion named Asher. He's part of my Gargoyle Clan.

    6. If it fits fairly well when the head back is not on the body, the neck must be in the way.

    7. Like the string extending from the brain on the head rack is stretched too far out in the front, you mean?

That was my next guess… but does that mean I need to sand down the back of the brain to bring the string back more? :?

    8. Are you sure the brain is in right? There is a little F that should be towards the front.

    9. Yes, the F is facing forward, I double and triple checked with YouTube videos and the manual. :frownyblush:

Let me see if I can get some photos hosted and uploaded here…

    10. It doesn't need to be a completely smooth and seamless fit, but there shouldn't be a gap either. It difficult to help without seeing the problem.

The neck shouldn't be getting in the way. One of my boys is stiffer to put on and I find the angle I try to wedge it on matters and gets a closer fit. Other than that, there shouldn't be a problem with the brain.

    11. Here is the right side of his face plate with a noticeably larger gap along his jawline and head seam:

Here is the left side of his face plate that seems to be sitting more in line and without what I think is a pretty jarring gap:

The right side doesn’t look so bad in this photo… let me take it from a couple of other angles.

    13. Your pictures aren't displaying.

    14. Sorry about that, just got those links fixed. Let me know if you see what I mean with the two sides of the face plate.

    15. Could you take a picture of the brain in the head back. It feels like it may not be going back far enough into the head back.

    16. Oh, @Bren!! Asher is so beautiful! This color scheme is perfect, I think he's my favorite Garion I've ever seen :chibi

    17. Thank you for your sweet words. I'm so tickled, that you like him. I know he may not be everybody's cup of tea, but he was a grail for me for years. I was very pleased how he turned out. Angel Toast did an amazing Job.

    18. @Bren - I agree, the faceup suits him so well. I really like the blue accents, especially in his lips, somehow it just makes them even fuller :3nodding: such a beauty

    20. @OmitIdentity My 2022 Edgar has a similar issue (looks more like the left side though). I just use a headcap which helps keep it on fairly well.
