@OyabunOfKyoto My body came unstrung and it wasn't that bad to do. But I would suggest getting a super long ribbon. My regular restringing tool in some areas would not work. I'm not to crazy about taking it apart so that' s why he's still a little loose. Usually I like to keep the knot on the outside to be able to tighten if too loose but with the width of the string, not possible. No way they would have gone thru the slot of the head. @Cloudedmind, Isn't that the truth. A face up can make or break, a deal on a doll in my opinion. @Sakhmet, That would be very nice and helpful to have. I know I was clueless where two pieces were suppose to go on my 75 cause they had been added with the arm pieces. So I was like what? Nothing seemed to work in the arms, until I went searching and found out they were his ankle balljoint pieces.
Yippee I was quick to buy the Hydrangea outfit since I missed out on the other similar outfit. As of now it’s still not sold out, go figure lmao Better safe than sorry though
Soom finally shipped my Scar Hyperon! Now I'm hoping it won't get so hot while being delivered that it'll warp the resin
With enough heat for a sustained period yes, resin can warp. But controlled heat can also fix some dents or allow careful repositioning of fingers. There have been a few minis I’ve seen posted with warped legs from transit. That being said, given that an ID weighs basically twice what a super gem does because there’s just so much resin involved…I don’t think they’d be in danger of heat warping. Thermal shock could be a concern, so maybe let the package acclimate if it’s been out in the heat.
I had a 70 cm doll that shipped recently that did warp with the heat of this summer. It was not an Idealian. The artist was very helpful and I was able to fix him by boiling the part. Hopefully you won't have any need to do something like that, but just in case. That did work!
My Scar Hyperon arrived on Friday and I opened him up today. Thank goodness, there was no warping or anything. I am absolutely in love with the bronze skintone!
Soooo, I need new elastic cord for the jointed hands. I stringed all the fingers but realized that I couldn't rotate and lock the hook for the finger joints elastic due to extra resin in the hand. I had to sand off that section, but I had to cut the elastic off to reach the area T_T Note to self: check to make sure that hook can lock in before stringing the fingers. Anyone know what elastic cord size would work for jointed hands?
I'll be joining the Soom ID75 family soon! I have Lim on layaway with BJDivas kindly sponsoring, and a lovely person here on DoA found my WTB for Garion and has a dokkebi Garion! We've agreed to a layaway and I'm excited to meet both boys~
I’m going to guess it’s probably like 1mm elastic cord since it’s not like it’s holding major weight. If I remember when I get home I’ll grab my calipers and see what’s in my closest sized jointed hands (spirit doll proud), since my ID ones haven’t been shipped yet.
Are we not talking about Selavi? I'm really over these pricey limited sets if I'm being honest, but he's pretty.
Selavi.... I love the colabs. And I love that I'm still in love with Rolling Pumpkin paint jobs after all this time ❤️❤️❤️. The outfit is cute. I just don't wrap all of this around a 75 cm hunky body. And I didn't look at the price. It said limited 10 which means I'll see it on someone's Instagram if I get lucky. I want another girl.
Hey guys! I'm joining the idealian crew here soon! I was wondering if anyone knows some good places for clothes and shoes? Or if there's a place here on DoA that has some of that info that would be much appreciated! I have a 70cm dollshe so I'm wondering if they are similar in size. I would think the pants would be too short. Thanks!
Dollshe 70cm can wear some of my Idealian 75 tops but not vice versa. I’d say search Etsy for ID75 clothes. Also Sadoll for expensive but well made outfits. If it’s an ID 72, I don’t know, but hopefully others will.
Hi @AkioMoichi Welcome! koibitobjd.com has very nice cloths and affordable price, she is also on DOA. I miss her post and love her boys. Wait, I mean I love my boys (that was so close ). I found many independent artists that design clothing for ID75 on Instagram: gentle_doll, mzeroize, leeeunzz (Z.Agram) these are some of them I have ordered from. I love supporting independent Artist! For shoes, majority of them I got are from SOOM and Taobao. Check also at moonlightbjd.com they have good one (they also have ID75 clothing too!). I do not know what you are looking for but hopefully this helps you get started!
@Lucid Walker Ah thank you do much! I'll be sure to check all these out. I really appreciate it thanks. To be honest...I have NO IDEA what I'm looking for clothing wise either. Bwahaha! So all styles to look at for now helps. Thanks again!
