Hi guys~ I have a Soom Breccia coming my way, and since I've never owned a SOOM doll I'm wondering what your opinion is on the large female bodies. Pros and cons and what not. I would appreciate your opinions!
Hi. I have few Soom SG girls. I like them, but they have their problems. The bodies are very nice to look at (I like the new body with the joint just under the bust better, but there is something wrong with the neck in that body). But all the Soom bodies (both new and old) share one major problem which is ZERO poseability. For safety reasons the should always stay in a stand (and not by themselves - because the CAN [and will] fall down on their own...). I think you'd have to hotglue ankles and wrists and elbows to be able to get more poses, because Sooms don't hold any poses But they are pretty, so very pretty. And if you're into fantasy parts (like I am :P) only Soom bodies will work with their fantasy parts.
The worst thing is the incompatibility between the parts, especially the old and new supergem bodies. Like the old fantasy legs won't go onto the new bodies. Soom supposedly improved the body but I like the old body better. Soom really should offer extra parts (namely extra upper arms and thighs).
@kaya_ssine I did not know that Soom have this problem. I had heard that Iplehouse was difficult to pose and Fairyland very easy. But really, their beauty compensate a lot. I have more interest in get Soom boys, but the girls delight me.
