1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

SOOM Legend Collection: Epidia - Queen of waterfalls

Jun 26, 2012

    1. She looks to be inspired by egyptian goddess Anukis. The skintone and structure of face is so different from Soom's usual, I quite like it. The dress looks a bit egyptian aswell from the photo, but it might look different in full.

    2. As some people already said, i think it looks a lot like iplehouse dolls, not sure if i like that.

    3. the only connection I can make with iplehouse is that they are pretty much the only ones to sell black dolls.
but this one still looks very soom to me. the eyes are the same as usual.

    4. I am really keen to see more pix of this beauty, finally a really dark lady from SOOM, and what's going to go along with the "waterfalls" theme? can't imagine a centaur for that, am hoping for a naiad/mermaid or something else appropriate to a water-goddess. I'm tossing in my wish with those who see an Indian influence in her accessories and are hoping for a Naga.

    5. I like it so much!! But I don't know about an order.. I have payed my Chaka from Granado and now I don't know if I can buy it.. But I want it! Layaway?... She would be beautiful with my Chaka I thinkยจ, as human! But I'm so curious about the fantasy parts!

    6. Yep Soom has done this and or a similar color before with London.

I think she looks beautiful, I can't wait to see the rest of her.

    7. I think the resemblance to Iplehouse is just the fact that they've actually sculpted her to have facial features that don't look typically white or East Asian, rather than just giving her darker resin with their usual facial structure. Iplehouse is pretty much the only company that does this consistently when they release a doll in a brown resin. Personally I welcome other companies attempting this. I have characters I could never own in doll form because they just don't have the narrow, sloping noses and rather delicate jaw lines that most dolls have.

    8. I think you are right Selidor. I really like the skin color, but i'm not so sure about her cheeks. Althought is a very pretty lady in my opinion.

    9. I am happy about this and I think I want her. I like the color and features and I don't really do fantasy dolls so I will be fine with just the human version.

    10. I absolutely love her face <3

...I too am hoping for a Naga (however unlikely) but in all honestly, she would look just as perfect as a regular human doll.

    11. She's beautiful! I can't say I'm tempted (realistic dolls are not for me), but her face is lovely! Very unique. She has a lot more character than I've seen from Soom lately.

    12. Just when I thought I was Soom-proof ...

    13. As other's have said she certainly looks to be the same color as the dark brown London(who was an amazing color!). I would love a doll in this color. <3 I'm happy to see Soom finally making a big doll in a darker color, though I bet it'll be pricey!

    14. Ooooo She's gorgeous. Lately the female scuplts haven't really caught my attention, but this one is not only different, but just beautiful! I'm safe though, but looking forward to seeing more of her!

    15. Exactly. I also welcome more options in this area. On the other hand, I didn't really need yet another SOOM doll this year...
...but I'm still hoping for a Naga. ^_^

    16. I contacted Soom recently about the possibility of a snake bottomed BJD, and they said there was nothing in the pipeline..... I could be wrong though <.< -Please let me be wrong....-

    17. Oh man she's beautiful! If she's a centaur, then that means there's going to be some female centaur parts for me to scoop up on the secondary market whenever I actually get the money together 8D

But she's beautiful! She's got all the stuff I like about Soom and yeah, I see the Iplehouse resemblance but I'm sure when we get more photos Soom will make it their own.

    18. I agree with Collie that she might be a centaur doll because of the name and limit per order. Also, is it just me or does she look a lot like the singer Rihanna?

    19. She does bear a huge resemblance to Rihanna. I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this!

    20. Jet has the two doll shipping limit as well, so I think it's something they put on all of the listings for large dolls now. I think it's just because during the Free Choice events they got people ordering four or five dolls in one go and it messed up their shipping calculation because it didn't take the extra boxes needed into account.
