SOOM Legend Collection: Epidia - Queen of waterfalls

For the first time ever I'm not into Soom's fantasy parts even a little bit. Chubby toes? No thanks. Witch fingers? Nope. Awkward snaggletooth fangs? Pass. But her standard human face and her gorgeous skin color? WOW! Not into regular humans though so I'm safe

If her feet had been a bit more elegant (like Breccia's) her fingers a little bit less chunky (like Migma's) and her fangs a little bit more natural looking with her mouth open a bit (like Migma's) the tail would have been enough to get me really excited about her! I don't own any dolls with a tail!

Finally some fantasy parts I really love!

 

Wow, she does look fantastic in the sales photos, especially in dark brown. Not sure if I can justify getting her, but I'd really like to. I'm not so keen on the extra head with the teeth, and the paws and tail don't do much for me, but her face is gorgeous.

 

'Really wish they had a "human only" option... I love her face and the dark resin color, but the fantasy parts really don't appeal to me at all, and there's no way on earth I'm going to pay close to a thousand dollars for a doll whose "spare parts" would end up sitting around in a box. I guess I'm just not a strange-paws-and-oversized-fangs fan. <_<

 

Haha, well maybe they'll do another free choice someday. ^_^

 

She's exquisite, love both skin tones, and the costuming. The "super long nail" hands are pretty nifty too, and her "fanged" head would make a lovely vampire (or Naga!). The other fantasy parts are interesting, but I'd have no use for them. Agreeing with other posters, that it's a pity that Soom doesn't offer a "human" version option with every limited (without the necessity of purchasing everything + a human body). I know that Soom offered a "human" version option on their Limiteds with Cass, where they offered her without the fantasy parts (or with), up to the customer. That was great, wish they'd start offering this as a valid option on all of their limiteds.

 

Edit: Actually, I believe Soom have added 'human only' options before in response to people asking for it. I'm going to leave Soom a Q&A message politely asking them to consider it for Epidia, and I think it would really help if anyone else interested in her human-only form does the same. Even if only five or six people ask, Soom will have an incentive to consider it

 

Huh, I was excited when I first saw pictures of this girl, particularly when it seemed to suggest a mermaid or water based parts. But the paws&#8230;. Eh, I think Soom may have reached max inspiration for parts. I get the impression that they are trying to not be like Brecca&#8217;s&#8212;which is probably a good thing&#8212;a little too hard. And the tawny face up looks very rushed, mine look that crappy on a bad day. The title also seems off, if they had simply called her Deity or Queen of the Hunt it would have drawn her whole concept together much better. Not loving her, especially not at that price. My other girl&#8217;s are breathing a sign of relief though.

Is it just me or do Soom&#8217;s pictures not seem as good as before? I appreciate the obvious lack of Photoshop but a little tweaking wouldn&#8217;t hurt. The lighting seems either too dark or too light.

 

They did the "human only" version with Tremo, and I promptly bought him! I love this girl as a human too, though I like the elegant claw hands, and zomg the hat . I'm not sorry I blew all my doll money on Tremo, but I hope they reissue her later--she has a wonderful face!

Wow. She is lovely! Her face is amazing. Very different for Soom... I thought I was looking at an Iplehouse for a second.

 

She comes with all human parts and the leopard parts as well. It's so you can make her a normal human or change her up into a fantasy creature.

No need to duck and cover - we all need to start somewhere.

If you go down to the bottom of her listing they show you all the parts that are included. Then you have the option of adding extras - like eyes, wig, dress, shoes, face up, body blushing, seam removal or a second body.

I really am considering getting her and an extra body. It looks like she may be knocking another doll off my wishlist that I have wanted badly for months. I will have to think seriously about this as I was expecting it.

 

Ask on Soom's Q&A board like a few others are. If enough people ask they will probably do it again like they did with Tremo

 

I hope they do human only. I really do not want the legs/tail.

That said, I'll probably regret not getting them down the road...

she is gorgeous! I love the face on this girl and that lovely dark skin. would have to get the whole set if i got her. too tempting to have a vampire girl and a cat woman. i am so broke

 

I wasn't really sure that she would be up my alley...but dang is she ever cool! Now I have to see if I can scrounge up funding somehow... =___= The eternal BJD collector's dilemma...
