LOL, Queen of Waterfalls. Queen of the DAMNED is more like. Wish I'd won the lottery - maybe I will before her order period's up..
I am really bucking towards having 2 vampire heads and 2 super long nail hands. I am starting to think I will have to order 2 whole dolls and then sell off the 2 human heads and a set of tail, claws and legs. It really is a bother for Soom to release a doll I want when hubby has just gotten a major pay increase for the next 6 months. It puts all sorts of bad ideas into your head.
*investigates the length of layaway's available* and I SO just send an email to Souldoll guilting them over not offering Shiva in greyskin yet, or adding a dark skinned version. This girl has SO stolen my heart with that skin tone and the Feel of the doll is a lot like Shiva.
Well that does it. I've designed 2 outfits for them already. I just HAVE to buy them now. One will be my wild tiger beauty and the other will be my Akasha-inspired lovely vampire. Looks like next week I'll be placing an order for 2 lovely tawny beauties. Only decision now is if I want them both extra pose or 1 of each. Bye Bye tan Dollzone Una - we were never meant to be. My heart has been claimed by another
Akasha..queen of the damned! I am sure other people have seen it too..I mean..other than the cat parts its SO obvious! Shes pretty..but not for me. Not really room for a cat lady in my family. I love her shoes though! So looks like akasha from queen of the damned..LOL! She also really looks like an iplehouse doll...hmph? pretty though!
Man, Epidia is going to be one I lament not being able to get. I love her kitty/vampire face, wig and eyes like whoa. I wasn't digging her feet at all in the promo shots, but have since totally changed my mind with the simple straight on shots in the bi-weekly clothes photos. I think her promo shots haven't done her a lot of justice; that gown is super bulky and the way they shot the paws made them look enormous. Seeing her in the bi-weekly photos, they look a whole lot more proportional than I thought. Argh, SOOM! ;;' I cannot afford her at all and her parts are in two skin tones I can't match. Boooo.
"Queen of the Damned" => "Queen of the Dam" => Queen of the Waterfall There you go, that is the connection LOL LOL
I didn't see a waiting room, so I made one here: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...-Legend-Collection-Epidia-Queen-of-Waterfalls If you have ordered her, please join! --MW
Am I the only one that thinks she looks like Akasha in Queen of the Damned just with claw feet?\ Edit: Apparently not! LMAO. I just did a quick reply without reading the most recent. And anavel that's an awesome link up.
Well if she's "Queen of The Dam" then mine can float around down the back in ours when they get here (well after I've ordered them)
well soom messaged me back and its a no-go on the human verison but will mention it to super team. did anyone eles get a reponse? I will still be stalking they're website daily...
I got a response saying they 'have no plans' for a human version (which doesn't mean it's a no-go, it just means she can't commit to it right now), but that she'd tell the development team about the idea. I think that if enough people contact them, they could still add a human-only option before the end of the sales period, but they probably need a couple of days just to calculate whether it would be worth adding the option or not. I think that the more people who post to the Q&A about being interested, the more likely it is to happen Soom have started being much more willing to add options lately - see the recent Rosette Free Choice, where they added an entire extra skintone (brown tan) after the event started, just because enough people let them know they were interested in the option!
I think that the economy-situation in the world is making companies to listen more to the customers, what they really want and are willing to pay -people are less likely to spend money to things that are not 'that important' and that makes every client count. The doll companies have to listen to those clients they have. And about the doll : I wish I had the money to buy the darker one, but I have three girls on layaway at the moment, so I think I just can't. (Well, I am selling one of my dolls at the moment, so if I get money from her soon, I can pay all my other layaways and start with Epidia )
I also asked about the possibility of Soom offering Epidia in a human version, and like other folks, was told "not at this time", but Victoria did say she'd mention to the team. Another question I asked about, was if Soom used UV protector in their formula for the tawny and dark brown resins, and was told that they do not at this time (although she said she would mention this question to the team also).
Well that's a shame that Soom aren't offering a human version this time around for you guys that want her that way. On the other hand, I'll be ordering 2 tomorrow so I can get both a vampire and kitty. I can't wait to get her - I mean them! I've designed their outfits already and they're pinned to my workroom door so I don't lose them (not that I've ever done that before)
I will order one within the next days too. It would have been nice if Soom would have offered her like they did with Tremo. Then I could have taken her with only the human head but with the parts. I don't need the vampire head. They should do this anytime, as then people can get exactly the version they want and don't have to take parts, heads etc they don't want.
Yes it's tragic, as I'm sure I won't be able to do an extra body right now and vampy/kitty head isn't for me either, but I must get her as a base sculpt and have no expectation she would be released as an SO or part of an event in any decent timeframe, so I will probably have to throw the entire base set on, I'd have loved the purely human girl as well. I think it's the overall inconsistency that is problematic, if there was consistency in what was offered on release it would be helpful too. Hopefully I can snag an extra body if the second head merits it down the line on a body event. .hlp
