Soom [MD/Apr] Hati & Skoll – Ignis Fatuus

I'm safe as well.. Adorable... And i DO have a puppy boy chara in mind.. Buttttt... He's not really on 'the list' So Im fine with that. Granted I do want the little boys outfit for my Glati LOL butttt I dont have the money to join a split :\ Oh well.. he will live XD

Cute, but not for me...thank goodness lol. The paws are cute but for some reason they look ackward. Sooo love the ears though .

 

i would be interested in a head though. >_>; i like theirs better then glot and glati...anyone want to trade? XD

 

Agreed, but their faces are adorable = ) Maybe if I see them later on, Ill like them more. But right now, Im safe. Although...their faces are very very verrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy adorable!!!!

Does anyone know what size the Tiny gems wigs are? 6-7, as in Yo-SD size?

 

I think it's that the nails grow from the point of the paw rather than from the upper part. They look kind of wrong to me for that reason.

 

Ooooh, it looks like I'm safe this month...and I don't know whether I'm relieved or disappointed! XD

I really wanted a little Bix, with a little crab claw. The wolf parts are certainly more appropo to the names, but I'm just not taken with them. I do however adore the facial sculpt. I love the wide eyes and the little open mouths! I actually like the faces a little more than the facial sculpt of the Glot I have on the way, but oh well, lol

Man, no little crab.... But I look forward to seeing the owner pics of these guys.

i like them but i think i am too curious about what they will do for next month. i would like skoll's wig and outfit though so i might look to join a split.

I'm so disappointed! I can't believe it! I kind of actually hate them... I mean they are cute but they are NOTHING compared to what a tiny Vesuvia could have been! They are just recycled add-on parts slightly modded.

I figured out why their paw hands bother me so much too- their fingers look like breasts. They are too round and swollen and the "claws" look like nipples... They don't even have wolf tails!

 

I'm happy for all the people that like them, but I, for one, am extremely incensed by this. I was prepared to drop $300 for a Bix mini, but no. I'm still really pissed; I'm not to the 'at least I get to keep my money' part.

Soom, seriously. Stop disappointing me. It seems that's all you've been doing lately.

I really like their facial sculpt cos i want skoll to be a normal human doll, i think Marimo did a great job in designing the face sculpt, however i also understand most ppl are disappointed because of the high hope and speculation of them being chibi version of bix and vesuvia. It could be the reason that e actual sales of the big bix and vesuvia aint as popular as sard & beryl that they thought they should change their chibi to little wolves? i remember seeing very few bix here, very very few!
It's quite nice to see more creatures instead of chibi version of everything they released before too but at the same time myself also won't mind if they r the same. I guess good and bad for each~~ but i do really like the face sculpt for all the chibi so far!♥

 

I love their faces, but I don't know how I feel about their wolf feet. The paws are cute though, and I love the set itself. Although, I think I'm happy they're wolves so I don't have to spend any more money...except well, I don't know...I might join a split...

 

^Agree with the awkward paw hands. I really think a mini Bix and Vesuvia would have been far better than these two. I mean..not that I hate the idea of little wolves. I love wolves..but even these teenie's [to me at least] are not that well done. Soom really could have done a lot with the idea of a 'wolf teenie' but...they have no tails..the paws are very awkward, and even the ears don't strike me as very canine like... =_= I just can't believe they passed over doing a mini Bix/Vesuvia for this.

^I was wondering when you were gonna pop back in! xD I too mourn the loss of a little crab...i was so ready for the first time to hand Soom my money and wait an eternity for a lil' Bix. >A< I really wasn't expecting after all the hype that there would be mini MDs that Soom would do this. Guess that puts all the other MD chibis into question.

 

I actually don't mind them not being a Mini!Bix or Vesuvia. The only thing I'm disappointed about is the paws, they're so cartoon like. but the faces totally make up for it

But if I do order Hati I'm going to keep her in human form so it doesn't even matter. It's just do I order with a faceup or commission someone else to do it..Hmm.

 

Eh... I can understand why some people are pissed off that Hati and Skoll didn't turn out to be baby versions of Vesuvia and Bix, but in all honesty, with names like Hati and Skoll, I just couldn't see them as being anything but wolf-themed dolls. It would have been strange if they made them scorpion and crab-themed when Hati and Skoll are names of wolves. It's like releasing a doll called Fenrir (or any of the other famous mythological creatures) and altering them completely so they look nothing like their original self

My personal opinion only, but I think it would irk people too if they released the name of a new doll in advance (example, Fenrir again) and everyone got all hyped up about it expecting it to be a wolf doll, only to have Soom release something completely different from what people expected. They'd probably get a few complains if they did that with Fenrir, or in this case, Hati and Skoll. Point being, you just can't please everyone, unfortunately

Anyhows, at this point, I'd just like to say that I was never against the idea of this month's MDs being baby versions of Vesuvia and Bix. In fact, I was hoping they would be, then I wouldn't need to get one. But since Soom actually stuck with to the Norse myth, I just had to get one of the dolls because I've been waiting forever for some doll company to release a wolf-themed doll. It's an added bonus that Soom were the ones to release said doll.

 

These two are such darlings, I love the baby wolf idea! I agree it does look a bit clumsy, but still, if I wanted a cute little wolf or puppy then I guess I would be thrilled with these two. I can understand why people would be disappointed though as they are not remotely Bix/Vesuvia like IMHO. I guess this gives us an idea of how Soom will be handling making tinies to go with two distinctly different big dolls -- they'll just make the tinies something totally different from either of them. xD

I am pleasantly surprised to see them being offered in normal skin instead of white though! Hopefully they'll do so again with the Super Gem that goes with these two. NS kinda works well for the fire element IMHO.

 

Aralyne: I agree that you can't please either side in this whole matter. Part of the naming should have been a tip off that the teenies were wolves, but at the same time..when Glot and Glati look like mini Sards and Beryl's, it put the notion in the head head that minis based off some of the recent MDs were coming soon. You can't help but get your hopes up. On the other side of the coin, I can see why the names 'Hati' and "Skoll' would also upset customers if they go against the mythology. Whatever the names were...the main reason I'm irked is there is no baby Bix >A<;; Though I won't rain on your parade ! xD It does save me $327~ so there is that slight silver lining xD Sorry your soul is Soomed.
