Soom [MD/Apr] Hati & Skoll – Ignis Fatuus

If they're wolves like their names suggest, I won't be Soomed (though the idea of taking the
children of a giant scary-ass wolf and making them tinies is way too cute).

BUT.

If that there is a mini Bix, I think my head might just explode. @_@

 

I like the tiny faces, but I think I'll be able to hold off. I'm getting a Vesuvia and was thinking about a matching chibi but as they're WS they won't match so I'll probably get an Amber instead. A little lamb chibi will be really cute.

 

Hm...I'll have to wait and see the rest of 'em. I'm not totally sold on them yet like I was Glot and Glati but we'll have to see XD I didn't like Bix or Vesuvia too much(rather, not enough to buy em) so I'll be safe if they're small versions of them

 

i really do believe that theyre tinies of bix and vesuvia . hair and eye colors match. the only difference is that vesuvia doesnt have her purple skin (unfortunately!)

 

Well, I've slept on it... had hoped I'd wake up and suddenly find them repulsively ugly or something, BUT ALAS NO!
The blonde girl has my completely and utterly won over. At this point I really do think these faces are possibly cuter than the Glot/Glati mold. I do however doubt there's any way they could dress up these 2 to make them more appealing than my Lilith (Glot).

At least I keep telling myself, well if it's only the DOLL you like, that's easier! $300 for a teeny is about right in my mind, and that's the sort of money than can be scraped together by living on ramen,.. $600 for a full set is a bit more intimidating!!!

On a random note, I, unlike others, actually would be disappointed if they turned out to be wolves!
Wolves don't really do much for me as it is, and on top of that, I just don't think they'd fit the fire theme that Soom has going.
I love the fact that the 2 current fire dolls are both HARDCORE! Leather/pvc and so on.
Wolves on a tiny would just look fluffy and cute.. and I want to see PVC and some kind of slightly unpleasant creepy creature (like crab, scorpion, spider etc)

Basically, if they turn out to be hardcore.. I could be really soomed xD

 

They're really cute and if they turn out to be tiny wolves, then my wallet may have to be hidden for a time. X3 Especially since I've been holding out hope for a tiny Topaz. But either way, I want to see more pictures!

 

They look cute, i'd rather them be wolves. Vesuvia and Bix are not my type of thing....Neither are tinies, but if they are cool enough, i might consider.kinda sorry i didnt get a Glot.Soom, why dont you make mythical md MSDs!or even gems! sigh.maybe its better this way....

 

Their names come from Norse mythology.. Hati means 'hate' roughly, and Skoll means 'repulsion' and the two chased the Sun and Moon to tear them down from the sky.

And the name Ignis Fatuus means "foolish light/fire."

Should be interesting.. And I too would be disappointed if they didn't have puppy feet and ears, because Hati and Skoll were straight up monstrous wolves.

 

I swear I can still see SOMETHING to the right of the blonde girl (assuming that's a girl still! xD)... I think it looks like a scorpion tail, but I could just be hoping too much and seeing what I want to see (cause I'd rather have something hardcore with a slightly evil edge over a cutesy puppy. cause I expect that's how wolves would end up looking)

Someone here said they saw a claw too.. there's definitely SOMETHING bottom right but I really can't make out what it is!

I think I'm actually praying they're going to be cutesy little wolves with puppy ears, cause while I'll be so horribly disappointed, that'll save my wallet!
At the worst, I'd just end up with the basic human doll and not use the other parts.

So, are we thinking that perhaps the hair colouring, eye colouring and costumes are pretty much going to imitate that of Vesuvia and Bix, but the mythical creature could be something totally different, just so that the babies could have the same extra parts?
So maybe chibi Vesuvia and Bix but with wolf parts, for example?

 

if you lighten the picture in photoshop it becomes clear that the black haired one is wearing a leather outfit with buckles that looks ALOT like bix's outfit, the girl has a either a collar on with a buckle, or its a high necked dress

so its really pointing towards bix and vesuvia

I'm so with you on wanting a bad ass little crab or scorpion over the wolf babies, but I've been partial to the arthropod dolls [Entomology major :B] It just wouldn't make sense to me that the 'theme' for the arthropod dolls would have tiny wolves? I could see wolves fitting in better with Io or Ambers set...T.T I'll be sad if its not a little Bix or Vesuvia, but happy I can live life without them. xD

As far as special parts go...while wolf parts would go against the set theme for Bix/Vesuvia..it's hard for me to imagine at this point Soom having two tinies with two different sets of special parts? It's hard to judge what Soom will do, since Sard and Beryl were so easy to make replicates of since they both had horns and hooves.

 

You're totally right! If the baby wolves went into the earth element with Amber and Io, that would make so much more sense! I totally wouldn't be disappointed if the Earth element ended up baby wolves cause it would just fit!
But Soom threw Bix and Vesuvia into the Fire element together for a reason. Sure, it could just be because they both wear leather/pvc, but I'd like to believe it's because fire is going to be their BAD ASS ELEMENT! xD

What would be cool is if BOTH dolls came with scorpion parts AND claw parts.
So you could make either of them a little crabby or a little scorpion, or a weird hybrid of the two!

I really want to know what the SOMETHING is.. it's going to drive me insane!
Do we seriously have to wait until the 27th to find out????

I agree, the wolves would fit nicely into the earth element, since they are great examples of predators~ and...well Amber's a deer xDDDDD poor thing. But yea! totally with you...their leather outfits and everything just scream that they need some sort of monstrous little tiny for this family xD

xDDDDD well scorpion's do have the pincers so a little claw with tail wouldn't look crazy hybrid, hahaha but it would be quite busy for the doll xD ugh this is going to kill me~ I want a baby bix, and yet...don't want...@.@;;;

But really, I like the tinies and all, and it's a great opportunity for people who
missed out on their favourite monthlies the first time around (*coughBIXcoughHELIOTcough*), but I really
do want to see Soom do something seriously impressive again.

 

AHAHAHA OH NO! I now have this image of someone having both an Amber and a baby wolf.. and the baby wolf trying to eat Amber but, she's so huge it would just be kind of gnawing at her ankles are something xDDDDDDDDDD
If wolves appear at some point, someone with an Amber needs to recreate this cause it would be just TOO FUNNY!!!!

It would be busy for the doll, but I'm not sure it would be too much extra work for Soom to create a claw and scorpion tail. After all, for Glot and Glati there were hooves, wings and horns. So these two could have a tail or claws, and maybe it would equal the same workload for them? Not sure, but who knows!

I want baby Vesuvia... was hoping for purpley resin goodness, but I'm a WS girl, and that little face is just KILLING ME!
If the rest of her turns out to be pretty much Vesuvia, I may be totally soomed!

Well no, I don't.. I LOVE THEM! The size and the price just make them so much easier to convince yourself into getting!
I have Cuprit on the way, and the more I think about it, the more I know that unless some kind of sexy fairy appears for Air at the end of the year, I'm probably done with dolls that huge (minis are my favourite size!).
But these teenies, I can honestly see myself ending up with one from every element this year because I just love them SO MUCH!!!!!!

I know what you mean! I'm kind of hoping that's what they're going to do with the gods.
I mean, it made sense that the darkness god should have hooves as Beryl, Glot, Sard and Glati all had hooves.
The rest though are made up of zodiac dolls that are completely different!
I mean, Earth : Lion and Fawn, Air : Bird and Fairy, Fire : Scorpion and Crab and so on.
While there are similarities, I think this gives Soom a chance to dazzle everyone with their creativity yet again.

 

The idea of having a little baby scorpion has now completely won me over D8

 

If the dark haired one is a mini bix. . .must have!!! I'm still kicking myself that I missed out on getting Bix.
