Soom [MD/Apr] Hati & Skoll – Ignis Fatuus

Oh Gods, if they put Bix and Heliot together, I think I would explode. Seriously. Because that is the ultimate DO WANT right there, but it's also the ultimate NO MONEY. Fffffffff.

But I know that's not Heliot there, so I'm safe. I have enough time to start saving for a mini Heliot. ;_________;

 

Yea...Hati is def not a Heliot mini~ I'd imagine the Heliot mini HAS to have the horn. The wig is not Vesuvia like at all... but I imagine they've had to make considerable changes to Hati if she were based off the Vesuvia. No purple skin and all that. >w< I need to stop speculating...it's hurting my head @A@

 

I would be very surprised if the white haired one is not a mini Vesuvia. They both have light colored hair, pupiless green eyes... Just going by comparing the similarities of the other tinies to their larger counterparts, I think there's a very good chance this is Bix and Vesuvia.

 

Glot wasn't identical to Beryl either (the hair colour was wrong.. I so wished she'd been blonde, and am still tempted to go find her a blonde wig, even though I love the style of the original) so I suspect they're using their creative license again with this potential chibi Vesuvia!
Now, if the white wig has purple streaks in it somewhere, we'll be closer!

I think it's almost impossible to make a chibi Vesuvia without the pearl resin sadly. That was really what made her so unique. So with the WS we already know is coming, maybe what they've decided is to create a baby scorpion rather than a specifically chibi Vesuvia... WHO KNOWS THOUGH!!!

But ohhhh I would be SO HAPPY if they were both boys!
Because I don't do boys! So no matter how adorable they are, I'd be completely safe!!!! xDD


Edit :: Oh also.. the Vesuvia in the Soom store here in Tokyo has a wig a LOT like that one. Fur and with no purple streaks. I remember thinking when I first saw it, "Huh, I was sure the original didn't look like that." So maybe they're going off THAT version of her?

 

I see it now Vesuvia does have the green eyes.... ok I think they will be modified Bix and Vesuvia

If they decide to do MD Chibi in BW skin then Euclase will be very very different

 

I think that's pretty lame that the Vesuvia in the Soom store is different than what they offered on the website. I dunno.

But I think, like Glot and Glati, there are going to be certain differences from the original dolls. This would explain mini Vesuvia's different wig and skin colour.

 

Agree that there will need to be differences for the big dolls. I think having one in pearl skin, and Bix in WS~ and then different special parts will be far too much for production. At this point its probably easier to have them one skin tone, and maybe with the same parts [not sure of this one] but releasing two vastly different dolls at the same time will be so much doom for Soom. As if the wait times weren't already hell on earth already~ xD

Now unless I'm crazy, that's not the same wig on the site and that's not the same wig people have been getting her with, correct?
Both the lack of purple and the style seem different.

 

midnitestar7: That's definitely not her 'default' wig...the default is a crimped synthetic if I'm not mistaken, and a bit darker than that one.

 

Maybe the wig maker cannot make it after the prototype or the sale was not that high and they cannot make that special wig for the same price so Soom has to go with a more generic wig.

Either way, I can see the possibility how the Chibi Vesuvia can have just plain old white fur wig.

So she may still be a Vesuvia, because it would be just right ^-^

Now, pearl skin aside, if you put the new little teeny next to this Vesuvia in the Soom store, she'd look a lot more like a chibi version than if you put her against a Vesuvia with a default wig perhaps?
To me, the purple streaks through the wig are really important to Vesuvia's look, and when I saw her in the store I remember thinking, "SOMETHING is wrong here"... it was only later when I worked out what it was!
So I'd love to see the purple streaks in this new teeny's wig if she is in fact Vesuvia!

^ xD I think Soom probably got lucky with the 'white scorplings' I doubt there was research done that mainly burrower scorpions have the white babies~ I love the idea of it now!!! >w< Just need crabcake...not a scorpling.

Huh, I don't know what to think... on the one hand wolves wouldn't really make sense with Bix and Vesuvia, but on the other hand some of the pairings are so different that they'll have to make the tinies something else (or do two sets or parts which would be a real hassle for some of the dolls). The fur wigs and collars make me think of the wolf theme though.

I don't think I'll be tempted either way though, the face is cute but very similar to Glot/Glati, to me it almsot looks like a happier version of the same "character", with a more cheerful mouth and more open eyes. I wonder if all of the MD tinies will be similar looking in the face?

 

This was already mentioned but, if this means ALL the teenies are going to be WS, that means Euclase an Onyx will too right?

I personally felt that the darker Onyx was infinitely more appealing than the WS one, and it'll be really sad if that's the choice they made with the chibi.
Saying that though, dark Onyx would never fit with Heliot and the light theme so it'll surely be ws there anyway.

But Euclase, I have a friend who LOVES Euclase and is really looking forward to a possible chibi version. I think she'd be devastated if he just ended up normal WS.

(You'll have to excuse my spamming of this thread today! I'm actually waiting for a doll to arrive right now who had guaranteed delivery yesterday but just isn't showing up. Her tracking number hasn't updated since 6:30 Monday, it's now 15:30 on Wednesday, when it said she was in customs. I really think she's stuck in customs, and am SO worried they're opening her up and potentially damaging her this very second! Waiting sucks, but I can wait if I have to, but knowing that she might arrive DAMAGED because of being manhandled by customs is really bothering me..
So, to keep myself from going insane, I am spamming this thread xD)

 

That's so interesting, because I find these 2 so much more UNcheerful compared to Glot and Glati!
To me, Glot and Glati are grumpy, Hati and Skoll are innocent and sad.
This is one of the things that's so great about BJDs, 2 people can see a completely different expression or character in the same doll's face!

I think though, if the faces end up all being very similar, I suspect what we're going to see are more splits. People will decide they don't need the same doll a possible 12 times, and so will buy one or 2, then search for the outfits or extra parts that might come up over the year.

 

lol. the outfit searcher would be me. though these two are still very cute. heck my glati still hasn't arrived. I might be able to do layaway for one lol.

 

The one with the black fur wig looks normal skin compared to the one with the white fur wig.
But i can't want to see the full photos out soon!
