Soom MD: May Grit and Syen- Little Guardians!

I'm seeing the WS as red and the GS grey/silver or a really, really light purple. It's hard to tell as closed as their eyes are from the photos.

I'm not really bothered by the blushing I don't have a Bygg (probably a large part of it) and I could always order blank.

I'm really starting to love those cute little horns

 

I'm thinking there might be only one head, since Monzo didn't have but one either. The grey really does seem a lot more boyish than their previous fantasy/normal resin pairings, though. Like with Bygg/Beyla and Shonki/Appini, the clothes were basically the same, only different colour. There was a slight variation for Ai/Afi (Afi having shorts instead of a dress), but not too genderdefining IMHO. I still like what I see of that outfit. Might have to get either one for my tiny.

Edit: about eyes, to me it looks like WS has glitter red and GS has glitter silver eyes...

 

That little blush on his cheek is adorable! And I kind of like the bat-ish pointy noses. Especially upside-down! XD
I don't like the face-up on the WS one though.. The lines on her eyelids are a little unflattering..

 

The gray one is so cute! But thank jeebus I am SAFE! They don't really call to me although the idea of little bats is so precious >w<

 

I love the way they've blushed him/her.. it's not that I don't like it, cause I LOVE the way Soom blushes their grey skin pink.
It's just that I have Bygg, and she's a fullset, and it's VERY rare for me to not get a fullset with the works (Shonki was the first!).. so it would have just been nice to have the doll blushed in blues or purples to bring out that tone of the doll, and making a definite difference between Bygg and this one.

Right now I might like this one MORE than Bygg though.. I'm not sure!

Hmm... I'm not really digging the faces and the fat little horns, but I'm itching to see the fantasy parts! Still It's always interesting to see what SOOM comes up with next! x3

 

Whyyyy! Soom, you just ate my money with Monzo and now you make me giddy with anticipation over tiny gargoyles...
I'm pretty sure I'll have to get these little monsters, I'll get the money somehow.
They are so adorable!
I don't particularly like the eye shape, but I could always decide to change that if I still don't when they arrive (yes, I may be in for two... my brain is reasoning I need them both ).

I'm trying to telling myself that if I only buy one this time I can get the next teenie MD. Fingers crossed that it works

 

I really hate those fangs. I hope they release an extra head and if not, I'd have to see if I could find a way to get rid of them. I'm not too fond of the blushing on either one of these dolls, but I still want to wait until I see the rest of the pictures before I fully decide if I want the GS or not. If push comes to shove and I don't like the heads, I'll just get the body and fantasy parts and buy a Bygg head. XD

 

Oh wow! I am so excited to see more! Even though I agree on the gender neutral thing, what I REALLy, REALLY want is to see Soom do an upgrade on their tiny bodies, like Breccia and Monzo. I would love to see more womanly and manly tinies, and maybe have the option to order either one of the dolls in either girl or boy. I know they won't do it, but I really am wishing! There are just so few tinies out there that are at all buxom, and it would set these guys apart even more than just their lovely, evil faces!

 

The sculpt of these tinies are sooooooo cute! I like those little fangs and the shape of their eyes.
But really? WS? I would be happy to have NS for the little girl.

 

I'm rather surprised how many don't like the eye shape
which I really like, it's better than dreaming/romantic.
But it won't be hard to sand them open more.
I think it's pretty amusing that the nose upside down
really does look like a bats nose!! As for the eyelid crease
it's very common (Asians are often obsessed with eyelids)
and without that line there she would have too much blank
space....but once again it's an easy fix...don't pay for the face
up!! And IMO there won't be a second head...gosh that
would make me happy though. I'm not really digging what can
be seen of their clothes so far, hopefully I won't feel differently
with more pictures. ONCE AGAIN I BEG SOOM...please offer
blushing options!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want body blushing, but NOT
fantasy parts blushed....the price is so much that I usually just
end up not getting it. Which also means I don't get seam sanding
which I love but hate doing myself.
I can't believe I might get another Soom MD after what they put
me through with my Bygg. Complete horror story.

edit:from my view it looks like their eyes are reddish orange glitter
(like Galena perhaps?) and Silver glitter.

 

They are really cute. I love that they've done wee gargoyles, and I think "Grit" is just an adorably baby gargoyle name!
Fangs and pointy ears don't fit in with my crew, but these tinies have some serious personality. I love Grit (presumably) hanging upside down in the pic *giggle*. And I agree, his nose really does look like a bat's nose from that angle!

I think even just changing the faceup will do a lot to change the impression those half-closed eyes give off. Changing to smaller eyes will also do a lot, too. Sometimes romantic heads can give the doll a cross-eyed look unless you're careful . . .

But I think there's potential for some great ". . ." expressions! Soom and their grumpy-looking tinies *heh*.

 

I think what bugs me the most about the eye-shape is that it does remind me too much of Fairyland (as someone already mentioned: Marcia), that's why the WS one doesn't really appeal to me.
I'm kind of saddened by this. After all, soom has their own style, and I *love* them for that. The fantasy parts are nice, but it's the sculpt-style that attracts me most to this company. Seeing the eyes being so.. Fairyland-ish makes me fear that they might be losing their originality in sculpting.
It looks different on the GS, though.
I do love that grey little bat *swoon* I shall make him mine.

 

Oh my, I didn't even think of the system for the wings! I automatically thought magnets, but Monzo was indeed different. Thenagain, Monzo's wings must weight a whole lot more and perhaps wouldn't stay on with only magnets... Anyhow, I've been entertaining myself with the idea of splitting for those wings, so a hole-system would ruin that '^-^

 

People have been saying 'Fairylandish' with Appini/Shonki as well! Perhaps it's just the style for this year, I don't know. Myself I preferred last year's molds, but this brings new people to Soom, widening their market and since I won't be spending money on these myself (except wig here outfit there...) I can build up cash for a second hand tiny from last year ^-^
