Soom MD: May Grit and Syen- Little Guardians!

I hope we will see some pictures soon and they will be
released sooner so I'm able to buy the grey skinned gargoyle/bat before
I will go on holiday. :3

I thougt of the option of a second head again and I think there maybe will
no second head because the teaser pictures of Shonki and Appini or Afi and
Ai showed us both heads with the first pictures...and Syen and Grit don't
show us both heads. Another point maybe is that they will have additional
claw feet and claw hands, wings and horns...much resin so there could be
no second head?! ^^°

I don't like these hermaphrodite bodys but I'm really afraid that it could
happen that the grey one is a boy...the blue/turqoise jewel and Syen (maybe the girl)
has the rose jewel and more girl like ouftif. >.<
But I want the grey one as a girl... ^^°

 

Hey! Don't give up hope. Beyla and Bygg had two heads, and they weren't shown in the teaser pics. And Shonki and Appini had lots of resin parts (paws, feet, ears, tail) AND two heads, so who knows?

Same here! I really want the grey one as the girl.
Being gray resin too, it's not going to be possible to mod it, and as I generally always get blushing, I wouldn't want to have to mod it anyway.
There just aren't enough Bygg bodies lying around to swap either.

I do think that Soom's vision of them has the grey one the boy and the WS one the girl, as they always seem to do (Afi had shorts, Bygg had the more boyish eyebrows etc etc), but it seems really likely they'll just go for the gender neutral bodies.
I think the hermaphrodite bodies weren't popular (they were still boy bodies in my opinion, the bump made them very clearly MALE and not in anyway female.. and I hate that my 2 deer girls are stuck on boy bodies), so it seems like they've decided to stick with the gender neutral bodies now.
Hopefully they'll just stick with them while they do fantasy resin options (which will hopefully be all year).
I don't think they'd risk losing out on all the money they could be making from the people who want the WS one as a boy, or the GS one as a girl.

In fact this time it seems there are a LOT more people who want the GS one as a girl that with Bygg and Beyla, so it would be a mistake for them to give the GS on a boys body I think!

 

I've thought about it, and I'd be happy to have my grey girl with a boy's body. I could totally workshop a transgendered character, she'd be neat.

 

Haha that's what I was thinking about the hermaphrodite body. It's so clearly a boy's body so I wonder if I should just GO WITH IT. xD

 

We could compare the April monthly doll Monzo release
dates with the May monthly doll release dates. ^^ Monzo was released earlier
than other monthly dolls this year.

first teaser release:
Monzo: April 19 (monday)
Grit and Syen: May 14 (friday)

picture release:
Monzo: April 21 (wednesday)
Grit and Syen: May 17 (monday) or May 19 (wednesday) ??

sale release:
Monzo: April 22 (thursday)
Grit and Syen: May 20 (thursday) or May 21 (friday) ??

It is only an idea...maybe Soom will do something unforeseen. :3

I love Sooms grey resin with the rose blushing it looks adorable. But I'm really not sure if I like
the "sweet" blushing for a gargoyle or bat. I thought a gargoyle is made out of stone...it would be
cooler if it was a more blue blushing for Grit... maybe I will buy the grey one without blushing. <.<

 

I think the second photo of the gray boy definitely looks like a closed-eye head and the first shot looks open-eyed.

 

imo it's just the angle his head is turned. But I love getting two heads.
Not to be a bummer....but with bygg & beyla they did actually show
both heads in the teaser.

 

Aww.. They did? That's too bad. Oh well, if people prefer an OE head they can always open up the eyes.

 

But obviously Soom can change how/what they do.....
so we'll just have to wait and see. This is going to be
a very loooong weekend!!

 

If the next photos will not shock me with abnormal ugliness I will buy the grey one. :3
I wanted to buy chic-line lishe but Grit is something more special and limited.

It would be not to my liking if there weren't an extra head but I'm sure it is easier
to get only one doll (no extra head and in the future maybe searching for a body >.<).

I'm now only hoping that they are genderless or the grey one (against all speculations) is a girl.
The resin parts (horns and wings) look like they are half transparent.
Ow and I like the first picture (Grit is not upside down xD) really more. They both look
much more gorgeous as in the other picture.

Has anyone else some ideas about character design or names?
Grit could be a zombie too. ^^ I don't know if he/she appears to be because of
the grey resin or the old fashioned maybe victorian clothing.

 

Lula: *groan* I'll say.. Sometimes I just wish that these companies would give us an overview of their upcoming releases for the whole year. At least then we could plan out our money properly. I love the grey gargoyle (in WS too much like Marcia methinks), but I did not like Shonki or Appini at all! I just want to know whether to snatch myself up a tiny from the previous releases from the marketplace, or keep my eyes on SOOM. *sigh*

Oy i do too, i wantsssssss them both but i can't afford them so my sis and i are going to get one each and they can play together They are going to pesterize our vampires *heh* what great photostories.

 

Yeah it would be nice to know in advance wether I'll fall for more
Soom MDs, then I can put my $$ aside just for them...or at least
try to ...... I want them BOTH!! My only hope is
getting them both blank and no extras. I could possibly do that...
but for some reason I really want their necklaces too (no outfits)

Anyhow, I've decided how they'll fit into my doll family! I'm waiting
for my Spiritdoll Dark and they'll be his little bat children lol. Syen
will obviously take after her Mother (I'm thinking Supia Rosy in
alabaster white french resin...which they don't make now!!) so I
may have to find them another Mother Ugh, this is
maybe a bad sign....I don't usually already know where a doll fits
in...and when I have they never ended up coming home to me

 

Is it just me or does Grit's gray look a lot darker than Bygg's gray. That would be a little upsetting as it means we can't trade body parts. I already have a Bygg and I said that my next gray teenie would be a girl, but for some reason I am not seeing this one as a girl. SIGH.

And I do hope there are two heads, these ones that they are showing us sort of look like the Bygg/Beyla R heads were they had sleepy eyes and pointy ears, so maybe that means there will be a normal head (and if so, will the normal head be human with no pointy teeth)

Please Soom, Monday...I just want to see more pics. PLEASE!

 

I think it's just the lighting/faceup Astolat they
seemed to make the grey ones faceup very heavy this
time imo. But there's always a chance the grey won't
match perfectly. Though I doubt Soom would change
it on purpose.
hehe so many people don't like the eyes!! I wouldn't
say the eyes alone might mean there are two
heads but the fangs might be a good sign
that there are....Soom really wants to appeal to the
buyers who aren't interested in the fantasy aspect of their
MDs and you don't get much more fantasy than vampires!!!

 

I always see it as a sign. If the piece fits it the puzzle: it'll make it (more) complete. It's as if the world is saying: go for it! My wallet, however, always disagrees. When I get the grey one I'll probably want his outfit (can't say for sure yet). You could have the necklace, though. It's not my thing

I think it might just be the way they've taken the pics. They might've tried to make them look darker, they're scary gargoyles, after all!

I love love love these babies!!! As much as i loved chibi sard and beryl when i saw them (alas, i don't have those two yet), but these little vampires ohhhhhh sooooooooooo cute!
