Soom Mecha Angel Saiph Discussion

I'm thrilled for you...and she proves my point that a really fine doll doesn't need a wig to look beautiful. A true stunner and so lovely. My best congratulations to you. By the way, Soom's jeans fit well, but have sparkles in the denim, the black plaid shirt has a nice soft drape to it, but the oat colored sweater, while nice, has short sleeves. Why can't they give Our Girl long sleeves? Anyway, have fun, she's amazing!

 

jenthered - thanks so much! I did buy her the green check style top and the dark denim jeans.......I tried the jeans on once, but am worried about them staining. My ex-Dream Realm Rad wore a pair of MA size jeans for a short time and they did stain around the groin area I'd like a skirt for her and will pray Soom release some new female fashions soon!

She definately still looks beautiful bald, I love it when a sculpt has that quality. Supia Rosy has it too (IMO)!

p.s. I've named her Andi - I like unisex/boyish names for girls, it means strong and courageous which I like too and I think it just suits her.^^

 

Congrats to you and Andi, a very good name (mine is Tess for "of the D'Urbervilles", because she's got that tragi-strong thing going on...) and thanks also for the reminder about dark staining. Those pants are coming off today! Let's have a campaign to bug Soom about more clothing for girls! Anyway, she's gorgeous, enjoy!

 

Hi, could you guys share on what size eyes you use for Saiph? Thanks in advance! The official page says 14mm, but since I don't like unrealistically large iris, I'd like to make sure 14mm would look natural before I buy a pair (it seems that the doll will not come with free eyes like most other bjds).

I have 18 mm in some of mine and find that they do very well. Mine are all from the secondary market, and are painted by different folks, who put eyes in them, so I'm used to them. I have three Saiphs, sigh, because I just can't resist her...and she looks completely different with different wigs and faceups, as you know. Anyway, hope that helps.

 

My Saiph just came home today and I finished her faceup this evening, she's so gorgeous!

 

She surely is...Don't you just love her? They are still my favorite BJDs...I'm thinking of adding to my girls by getting the rest of the Mecha ladies...Congratulations! Lovely soft faceup too! Perfect for Saiph! Are you going to change her name?

Thank you! I named her Ariadne long before she came home XD It would be amazing to see a whole family of Mecha Angel girls, hope you complete your collection soon and post pictures!

 

Ah, always nice to see another Saiph, especially one as sweet as yours! Isn't she just fantastic? I love her height, and I agree, the only thing better than a Saiph is a Saiph with friends, LOL!

I'm still waiting to see if I like the other ones as much as I like the Saiphs...but with four of them, I guess I'm an addict LOL! I like the new one, Betel, but she's more realistic, more like an IH doll. I'm not sure that she'd fit in with the rest of them...I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, Ariadne is gorgeous and what a great name! She needs something very gossamer, very finely spun....

 

I just got a sewing machine yesterday for great bargain price and finished the top half of the miko costume I started by hand not long after I ordered Ariadne. She is supposed to be cosplaying Kikyo from Inuyasha.

I love see all these beautiful pictures you all post of your girls in here! Saiph has to be one of the most beautiful girls ever made, plus she has a big head ( I love, love, love, bigger heads) I would love to see her head on an EID, or Feeple 65cm body if anyone has that combo available. Or any smaller body for that matter. 80cm scares me o_o

 

Actually her head is not that big. However, the lifelike proportions of her face make her look very adult, I tried putting her head on a 58cm body and it just looked ridiculous.

I have seen some one put her head on a 62cm body, and it looked only a little big to me, made her feel very teen in age. Also the same person put it on a EID body and it was just, wow, prefect. But it was the only shot I could find. Not many people have this rare gem of a girl.

 

I took Ariadne in a new costume to a doll meet today.

Does anyone know when they will release her again? I couldn't really understand the recent notices on the Soom website.

Lyanne : Thank You! ♥ i think that right this moment, we are waiting for Soom to update their website with a 'Christmas Kit' ordering box. One of those boxes will be Saiph in Super Gem size. It is unknown whether they willl offer both 'NS' and 'WS' as skin choice.

Ordering will be over for Super Gem Saiph on December 31st 2012.
