It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Soom Mecha Angel Saiph Discussion

Apr 15, 2008

    1. I am just very happy to have people to share the Saiph-love with LOL!

Yes I agree - her expression seems to shift. I also agree that the SG sized Saiph doesn't look like her at all...perhaps a younger more carefree sister!

I was messing about with my Saiph tonight. I had set aside some of the larger wigs I had for my MA Cissy dolls but I brought some of them in out of storage and tried them on her and many of them were quite successful so will be using those in the future.

Now I just need to get on to clothing her. She has a tunic top on and is waiting for me to make her some coordinating leggings...just a lounge-around the house kind of outfit for starters :)

I just think she is so beautiful...I can't see me ever falling out of love with her!

I will share as soon as I have new photos!
      Lyanne :)

    2. Lyanne: you must show us pics of her modeling every wig :)

Lady Ravenswood: every time i see the SG Saiph, i think it is Topaz, as well. :) :) And i think the darling little forehead bumps are missing on the SG.

    3. Yes, the little bumps do seem to be missing and they are one of my favorite parts of the sculpt.
Hehe, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks of Topaz, I was starting to think I was a bit crazy. ^_~
I could see her as the younger sister, spared from some tragedy that her older sister bears.

I would also be interested to see the wigs on your girl, Lyanne. ^_^

I have a Leeke wig I'm using for Anstes. I suppose at some point I'll have to get her something a little less high maintenance. Hehe. Also, I need to find her some high heel feet. She only came with her flat feet. I'm wondering if the Dollmore model girl feet would fit…I understand that they could share shoes, but I'm not sure if the ankle ball will be too small for the MA leg. Hm...

    4. I have a Dollmore girl so will take a look at her ankle in the morning and see if it might fit...not sure without looking. I bought the high heeled shoe-feet but have yet to paint them. I couldn't resist that lovely high arched foot! :)

Okay...wig pics it is! That might be easier because she doesn't have too many things to wear just yet LOL!

      Lyanne

    5. Oh, thank you Lyanne! That would be so helpful. ^__^

    6. I looked at the DM Model compared and I am afraid I don't think it would work at all. The Models ankle is so much smaller than the Mecha Angel's ankle.

I did try to take wig photos today but they didn't come out wonderfully...I will try them again in different light and post soon :)

    7. Ah, I was a bit afraid of that. I was contemplating building up the ankle ball on the foot with milliput. Hm, I'll think on it some more.
Thank you so much for looking at them for me. ^_^

    8. I had a chance to do a faceup for Anstes yesterday. ^_^

    9. Wow, it is amazing how different she can look with each new face up. She looks so much more grown up here and I love what you did with the mouth. The lips look lovely and full without being overly so.

      Well done!!

    10. Thank you! Hehe, lips are my very favorite part of doing a faceup. ^_^

    11. Hi LadyR!! :D I haven't been on this thread in awhile and just now getting back to it. Your Saiph looks great! So much character and expression you gave her! Heh, I too have a penchant for worried warriors and the women that love them. It's such a real quality for some of them.

Has anyone seen the Saiph head paired with a Dollstown 18 year body? Someone showed me a photo of one hybrid done that way and it was amazing, too. I've been trying to find a another picture of it to take a better look. It's so fascinating what everyone comes up with on them!

    12. Hi, Sherry! ^__^
Hehe, yes, I'm a newcomer to this thread.
I think you got her character in a nut-shell! Hehe. Except that she is a force to be reckoned with herself, in addition to trying to keep her prince alive. ^_~

    13. Life seems to sidetrack us sometime. By the time I get back to a thread, it has usually moved on to an entirely different theme. Anstes may worry, but she can probably club an enemy with the best of them!

What size eyes did everyone use in their Saiphs?

    14. Mine is wearing 16mm just because I'm out of pretty 14mm eyes and have a small abundance of nice 16mm ones with no real use. Eheh. ^.^"

    15. Yes, I hear that having the many of one size, and using it in every new doll that comes in, LadyR! They are so picky about their eyes… It can take months to find the right one for them. How many times do we order a special eye for one and then they will have nothing to do with it? ;)

Ah!! Thank you, Cat! Your Peyton turned out so delightfully! I should have known that Lachlana was the one that did her face! She is just amazing… Could you tell us a bit about how you came to placing her with the body? How it poses, and does the head scale well to it? I know it is a tall one, was also curious as someone mentioned they had seen a Saiph on the Feeple 65 body.. Guess it depends on how large you like your heads to body relation .. :) Would love to see more photos of her!

    16. Sherry: i am a big Dollstown body fan, so i was extremely thrilled to find that the MA Saiph works well on the 18. I like the proportions very much. I am under five feet tall, so Peyton is a bit much for me to handle. I have not tried getting her to stand up yet.

I do not think that i would like the MA Saiph on a Feeple 65 body. Some people adore it, but i am not crazy about the Feeple 65. I suppose it is just like anything else: some people like one thing and some like another.

    17. Here is my girl : she's a Castithan from Defiance series...

    18. She looks very pretty with the purple and white. ^_^

    19. dark_angel: she is beautiful in white ♥
