Soom Mecha Angel Saiph Discussion

Thanks Twigling. I think I'll have to order her. There are aspects I don't like about her ie I find her hands a little masculine (and her arms) but I'd rather make sure I have her than don't. Once she's here, the sculpt problems usually don't bother me as much with the Sooms.

At least white skin Meisa is available, not sure about the normal skin since they didn't said anything about it. Maybe you could ask about it, I am all in for Saiph so I don't need that information really.

 

Hunajasieni, you don't have to ask just for me. I'll just wait for the FFD notice for February. I don't really need her and was planning to save up for something else, but with the uncertainty about the MA I thought I should at least give it a shot when I can. ^_^
If Meisa will be for sale this FFD, I'll be happy and if she's not, there will be other dolls to buy.

I just ordered my Saiph today (YAY), I figured it's now or never and decided that if there was going to be one 'odd' size doll in my collection, it could only be her....she's worth it! Also, I was afraid that she would just dissapear one day from Soom. Looks like I'm gonna have to learn to sew.....

 

Congratulations! I have one Saiph and love her dearly, a WS version. She is the largest of my BJDS, but who cares? She's also my favorite, something about that beautiful face and body stays with me...my little (big) muse...anyway, haven't got Meisa, but she's beautiful too, so hope that you get to see some photos not from Soom. Anyway, way to go, enjoy your girl when she gets there...and there are many costumers on DoA who will accept a commission to sew for her, in case you can't find the time to learn.

 

Thank you! Yes, I was just checking out the commissioner's forum and I won't panic about her size. I bought something simple from Soom, just so she won't be nekkid upon her arrival....I have no idea when that might be...may I ask how long you waited for your girl?

She is indeed so beautiful and versatile. I've thought a long time about her character and to be honest, I had about ten ideas that she would be great for. It's a shame about the WS as I might have opted for this had the choice still been there, but just having her at all is enough for me!

 

I bought mine, my WS, on the secondary market, so waited only a few days. I think that Soom is not the fastest to ship, but I may be wrong. I hope that your girl arrives pronto, LOL, because she's just one that is so beautiful and so much fun to open. Mine didn't have her eyes in, but when I opened the box, flipped out and fell. I'm going to order some clothes, which they do ship quickly, too.

 

She is one of the most elegant-looking BJDs I have ever seen.

 

Hey, if anyone wants Meisa reference pix, PM me - I've got tons, pre-aesthetics, and painted.

 

Does anyone have a male mecha angel or has seen photos of male and female mecha angels together? I'm trying to find some photos for comparison. I'd like to buy Saiph, but I've had a few people tell me they don't work together so I'm wary now.

 

Hobbysue - Katyok has posted photo's of Sabik and Meisa together in the gallery - they look like they work well to me! (Hope you don't mind my referencing you Katyok)

jenthered - Yes, unfortunately Soom are known for their slow shipping, but I think they recently changed their shipping policy and included a guarantee...this might only apply to the monthly dolls though, I'm not sure. In any case, I hope she comes at least for my birthday in April.

I've posted a request in the BJD-opedia section asking for pics of Saiph in different wigs - any help, much appreciated!

I cannot believe this, but Saiph has already been shipped! I've just received my tracking number from Soom and have traced her as leaving Seoul 11.18pm Korean time!!!!!!! I'm flabbergasted and have not prepared for this....poor girl won't even have a wig.....

I can only imagine that they have pre-made stock as it was only yesterday she was paid for. AMAZING!

edit note: jenthered, do you know if she can wear a size 8-9?

 

Yes, Saiph can wear 8-9 wigs, her head is not as huge as the body.

 

Oh my, congratulations in advance! I hope that you love yours as much as I love mine! Also, I just measured mine's head, and she is a firm nine inches around, so I am thinking that a 9-10 might be better, or if you have the other on hand, it might do. I ordered clothes for mine yesterday, and they shipped them today too, so we're on a roll, gelfling9uk, aren't we?
