1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. gracie is absolutely right - Tyler cannot wear Gene's stuff because Gene is slimmer. The only exception would be some of the looser fitting Gene clothes, but those are very rare - most of Gene's stuff is very tight even on Gene herself. So, I think that if Tyler's stuff is a bit loose on Rosette girls, then Gene's clothes should theoretically be a better fit. I guess I'll just have to wait and see until my girl gets here (been waiting for over two months now, ugh!).

Apart from the previously mentioned, I'll recommend this site for patterns.
Each pattern comes with extensive explanation and drafts to help you understand how to sew things, and sometimes with little interesting bits of info too.

    3. I know I have shown this in the discussion thread, but I thought I would add it here as well. The night gown is Iplehouse JID size :)

    4. From what I've seen from a youtube video, these Crobidoll tops fit Rosettes and they're really cute. A nice casual look. <3
http://crobidolls.com/shop/step1.php?number=1074 This is the pink one and there's a dark blue one too. Maybe other things there fit them?

    5. Hi all,

I just received my Muse Marguerite and after trying out hundreds (literally!) Tonner/Gene clothing pieces, I have some comments on what fits and what does not. I do not have the Pure body, only the new Muse one, so keep this in mind.

In this post, I will cover the Gene clothes.

      1. Gene Tops: shirts and blouses fit very well, even better than the official Rosette top I got from Soom (it was too loose); jackets fit very well, with the exception of broad-shoulder designs (since Gene's character is based in the 40s/50s/60s, there's a few of these), which end up being too big. Any tops with narrow sleeves will require you to take off your girl's hands before putting on (not an easy task with the new Muse body :()

      2. Gene Bottoms: The vast majority of both pants and skirts will fit very well. I have found just a couple of exceptions where skirts were too small at the waist (Gene has a slightly smaller waist than Rosettes); in these cases, it is very easy to reattach the closure for a looser fit. Basically, if a skirt or a pair of pants has a closure directly on Gene's waist, it won't close on a Rosette; but, again, I found that this is a rare thing, and adjusting the snaps and/or hooks is very easy.

Here is a example of Muse Marguerite wearing a Gene suit, consisting of a skirt and a jacket. Both fit incredibly well - no adjustments necessary (please excuse the kitty toys in the background, I didn't realize that I set up my stuff in the kitty corner until I looked at the pictures :D)

3.Gene Dresses: Here, it gets a bit more complicated (but not by much!). Basically, Gene dresses fall into one of two categories - fits perfectly or needs adjustments. All dresses can be easily adjusted to fit. Below is a picture of a dress from the "fits perfectly" category. As you can see, it sits well and snaps up all the way in the back. For dresses that need adjustments there are basically two issues - either it can't be closed at the waist and/or it is too broad at the shoulders. In the former case, reattaching the snap closure will do the trick. In the latter, you'd have to attach a snap in the back to take in the dress at the shoulders a bit - with some dresses, this will work well, with others, it will alter the design too much to look good. Thankfully, Gene doesn't have that many broad-shouldered dresses :)

I hope this helped some of you! I will post about Tonner stuff in a separate post.

    6. Anyone knows if PeaksWoods' faries of Bugs' clothes would fit Rosette Lady?
I've been looking at the measurements and they seem similar.

Anyone has both dolls or knows someone who does?

    7. I don't have one of these girls, but would love to someday. Anyway, I came across this blog post and thought you all might be interested.

    8. Thanks for the link to my blog, a88_angel. I recently sold my Summer Term Marguerite to another DoA member, but before sending her off to her new home I tried a couple of things on her that were designed for Wilde Imagination's vinyl Evangeline Ghastly. They fit well enough that, had I kept her, I would have purchased some Evangeline patterns and made some clothes for her. (Ebay has patterns.) Evangeline's wigs fit her, too. I didn't try the shoes, but they didn't look promising. I think Evangeline has smaller feet.

    9. a88_angel, you might be just about to get a Rosette "god-daughter" lol
I am not going to be playing with any of the dolls for the next few weeks. We'll talk on my weekend though :D

    10. That would be awesome! I've been dying to sew for her :D

    11. Livi Wearing Evangeline Ghastly clothes and Teen Trends shoes. The shoes fit perfectly! The Blouse is a little big across the shoulders but the skirt fits really well.

Wearing an entire Teen Trends outfit... clothes and shoes. The top is a lil big but works ok, the skirt fits really well as do the shoes.

Another Teen Trends dress and shoes that fit very well.

    12. At a meeting my friend Ladicius who owns a Rosette Fir asked me to bring a Tonner doll to see if the clothes will fit, I took some comparison pictures, maybe someone will find them useful?

Comparison: Tonner Tyler body and Rosette Fir
      [IMG]

And here is Fir wearing clothes for Tyler:

      (Fir @Ladicius)

The chest/shoulders are wider on classic Tyler's body, so I think maybe the Antoinette/Cami clothes are a better fit for Rosettes. The pants fit but are a bit short since Rosette legs are longer.

    13. Late answer, but please note that this is a Girl Rosette on the picture with Tyler.
Lady bustfits Tyler clothes very well, I suppose the smaller busted Tonner dolls would be a better match for Girl body.
I am also glad to see that Tyler pants seem to fit well?

    14. That is great, I need to buy some Tyler pants patterns, thanks a lot!

    15. Kawkana and Frezje on Etsy both make clothing to fit Rosettes:

    16. Leitan, were these commissioned for your girl or do these shops list Rosette sizes from time to time? I don't think I've ever seen a Rosette listing from either one is all, and your girl looks adorable :D

    17. Has anyone tried Brennnil/HDS clothing on their Rosette Pure?

    18. I have some HDS pants here, Lyzrd! When my boy arrives (modded pure girl body, hips are still the same), I will try them out on him. My guess is, they might be a bit on the big side...then again, I have girl pants from HDS and since they are designed for MNF girls, the pants might be a bit curvy for him (those girls have some hips!) He should arrive in a couple weeks, so I will give it a shot then! ;)

    19. I ask because I've just sent a lovely skirt by HDS to someone in the UK, for her Rosette Pure... I sincerely hope it fits her (or at least is easily modified to do so!)
